Chapter 20: Another Invitation
“Wow, I feel so energized!”
I woke up this morning feeling great and struck a muscle pose in excitement.
Thankfully, it turned out to be just a minor cold. I took a day off when I had a slight fever yesterday, and now I’ve fully recovered.
“I feel bad for making them worry… I need to thank them today.”
Not only did they help me, but they even walked me all the way back to my house. Unfortunately, my sister saw us and started bombarding me with questions. I realize now that I caused trouble for the both of them.
“…”
When I think back to that moment alone, I can’t help but remember the feeling of their bodies touching mine as they supported me home.
It was so irresistible that even the average gravure idol couldn’t compare… not just the softness of their bewitching bodies that could make anyone kneel, but also the fragrance they emitted, everything was etched in my memory.
“… no, no…”
I can’t let myself start thinking about the possibility of a chance between us.
The man caught between the yuri shall perish, I’ll protect the both of them…although I’m not quite sure what position I’m in to protect them.
After breakfast, I left the house in high spirits.
“Wow, it’s almost summer and the heat is really intense.”
It’s not unbearable, but the heat is definitely making me uncomfortable. I’m worried about how I’ll cope when it peaks in the middle of summer.
“Sakuya-kun♪”
“Sakuya-kun♪”
What’s that? I can hear Yuka and Mai calling my name, but maybe it’s just my imagination playing tricks on me because of the heat. Or perhaps it’s just lingering effects from my recent cold.
“I wonder if he heard us?”
“I’m not sure. Let’s try hugging him, Yuka.”
“Okay♪”
Oh no, I can hear their conversation too. As I walk along, suddenly I feel something clinging to me from both sides.
“That’s it♪”
“Eii♪”
“Huh!?”
Suddenly, I felt something touch my body and I was taken aback. But then, I recognized it – the softness that I could feel through these arms. The softness that made me want to keep touching it forever. It was them!
“… Huh!?”
It finally hit me that the voices I had been hearing were not a hallucination. Without a doubt, the person hugging my arms was a girl, and it was Yuka and Mai – the two girls I had become friends with recently.
“Why are you two here!?”
“Good morning, Sakuya-kun.”
“Morning, Sakuya-kun!”
I was so surprised that I had forgotten that they were still holding onto my arms. Yuka and Mai had been holding onto me for a while, but they let go, saying it was too hot.
“Wait, why…? Huh?”
I didn’t really care that they had hugged me anymore; my biggest question was why they were here. They stood in front of me and explained.
“It was a bet. We thought you might take the day off like yesterday, but since we didn’t see you all day, we came to pick you up.”
“Yeah, Sakuya-kun. I wasn’t feeling well because I couldn’t see you, but now that we’re together like this, everything is back to normal♪”
“…”
In this situation, it was normal and polite to thank them. But I couldn’t find the right words, and I just felt embarrassed and didn’t know how to respond.
(…Oh no, my face is burning up, this is really bad. It’s true that I’ve become close with them lately, but anyone would react like this if they were told something like this…)
But… does meeting up like this in the morning mean something more?
“Um, are you coming with me?”
“That’s the plan.”
“Yeah.”
And so, we ended up going to school together. I didn’t have anything particular to be careful about, but I hoped they wouldn’t suspect anything about us being together.
“Hey, Sakuya-kun, you still have a slight fever?”
“Yeah. But I’m not pushing myself too hard.”
“That’s good. But I’m so glad to see you looking healthy like this.”
“…Something feels off.”
I was about to ask why they were being so kind, but before I could, Mai spoke up.
“Are you embarrassed, by any chance?”
“…”
“Oh, I see.”
Both Yuka and Mai smiled at me, and I couldn’t help but wonder what they were thinking and why they were doing all this for me.
But I scolded myself for getting my hopes up, as I was the knight of protecting the “yuri garden.” I had come to understand a lot about them since we became friends, but at the same time, I had learned to appreciate their kindness, fun, and attractive personalities. There were even a few things that could cause misunderstandings, but I tried my best to keep my feelings in check.
“Oh, right, Sakuya-kun.”
“Yes!?”
“You look surprised,” Yuka said with a grin. “But anyway, are you coming to visit again this week?”
“…Huh?”
“Are you coming to visit us?”
I heard her, but I was struggling with what to say, and then Mai chimed in,
“We want to spend more time together, you know? And maybe you’ll get to see something even more amazing?”
“…”
She whispered the last part, like a devil.
I couldn’t help but curse my own lack of willpower as I stood there nodding in agreement with their proposal. I kept my own feelings hidden, while trying to contain my excitement at the thought of what was to come.
Together, the three of us made our way to school, and surprisingly, we didn’t attract as much attention as I thought we would, maybe because we were walking together.
“…”
“Oh, you’re spacing out so much. Are you still feeling sick?”
“…Yorihito, huh.”
I had no choice but to agree with their proposal, as if it possessed some mysterious power over me. But my loyalty to my desires was undeniable. I had already seen their deep kiss, but I couldn’t help but wonder what could be more amazing than that. The thought alone made my heart pound with excitement.
And that excitement continued even after school that day.
“What’s wrong, Senpai?”
“…”
“You’re acting weird today, Senpai…”
Even Rito was worried about me. Since I didn’t have any work as Tsukki today, I met up with Rito in town and came to the bookstore to look for some yuri works… hmmm, this isn’t good.
“Hey Rito,”
“What’s up?”
“If… if it were in real life,”
“Huh?”
“If you could see two beautiful girls getting entangled in a yuri relationship in real life, what would you do?”
“May I ask in reverse, is there an option not to watch?”
“…There’s none.”
“Yeah.”
I see… that’s right. That’s fine, isn’t it?
If they’re willing to show me, I’ll take a look. With that resolve, I planned to embark on a journey to the yuri castle that weekend.
“Why now…? No way!”
“I can’t deny it. This is the reality we live in.”
“I see.”
I simply want to witness what I desire, and there’s nothing wrong with that. If they are willing to show it to me, then I see no harm in it.
“Okay… Let’s go for it!”
I have made my decision, and I will be content with whatever I see. That’s all that matters.
