The Story About How I Was Fired From My Company and Then Picked up by a Possessive Streamer With Over 5 Million Subscribers - Extra 1-2
Extra 1: A Certain Ordinary Day and Story
Several months had almost passed since Able’s huge project wrapped up successfully.
After the streams ended, we all struggled for a while to adjust to a life we weren’t used to, but now we’d finally settled back into something like our normal routine.
Shiorina-san, Sayaka, and Rinmei felt the same way. Just like before, they were enjoying their streams and daily lives peacefully and happily.
Then one day…
I put on a suit I hadn’t worn in ages and checked myself in the mirror.
“…It feels a little tight. Did I gain weight or something?”
No way…
I do exercise… ugh, there’s definitely some extra flab. Guess it’s because I’ve been skipping workouts lately…
While I was lost in those thoughts, there was a knock at the door.
“Come in~” I called.
The moment I did, someone came charging through the door.
“Doryaaa!!”
“Uwoah!?”
A powerful impact slammed into my stomach, sending a jolt through my whole body.
I somehow managed to stay on my feet, but it hurt like hell.
“…Sayaka. Please, no more tackling. You’re going to kill me one of these days…”
“Ehh? But you weren’t coming downstairs forever, Eiji-san, so I thought maybe you fell asleep!”
“I answered the door, didn’t I?”
“…Tee-hee♪”
“Hey.”
Seeing Sayaka act a little more childish—no, more like a girl her actual age these days—left me both exasperated and smiling without thinking.
“Eiji-san, Eiji-san! Look, look at my uniform!”
“It’s the same as always, right? Nothing’s different.”
“Ehhh! I’m a third-year student now! I’m basically an adult! There has to be some change! Like I look more mature… or cuter or something!”
“You’re always cute, Sayaka, don’t worry. Though maybe you’ve gotten a tiny bit more childish.”
“You raised me up just to drop me right after!? Ugh! You really don’t understand a maiden’s heart at all, Eiji-san!”
Sayaka puffed out her cheeks in anger.
As I reached out and gently patted her head, another figure suddenly popped up beside us.
“…Eiji. How do I look in my uniform?”
“Hang on, why are you wearing a uniform too…?”
There stood Rinmei. For some reason, instead of a suit, she was wearing the uniform she would have worn a year ago.
Technically, if she’d kept going to school she’d be a second-year right now, but she dropped out…
“…My own choice is what matters. I have no regrets.”
“Please stop reading my mind so casually… But the uniform suits you.”
“…Good. That’s all I needed to hear. Mufufu.”
Her expression barely changed, but if you looked very closely, the corners of her mouth had lifted about two millimeters.
Looking pleased with herself, Rinmei pushed Sayaka aside and clung to my arm.
“Guh… Hey, Rinmei! I was finally enjoying Eiji-san’s head pats, what’re you doing!?”
“…Sayaka is in the way. Today’s main character is me.”
“No, today’s main character is clearly me!? Me! I’m the third-year high school student! I said let’s go flower-viewing in our best outfits, but this is still supposed to be a celebration for becoming a third-year!”
“…Was there something like that?”
“That’s harsh!?”
Their personalities are complete opposites, yet they bicker exactly like normal sisters. This has become the daily routine in this house.
“Hey, you two, no fighting. You’re bothering Eiji-san.”
Just then, another person walked in.
My room isn’t a hangout spot… I thought, but when I turned to look at her, the words died in my throat.
“…Um, Shiorina-san. What’s with that outfit?”
“Eh? It’s flower-viewing, so I thought I’d wear the kimono I used the other day…”
She wore an elegant, adult-style kimono in soft spring-cherry pink.
Somehow she’s the only one who went in a completely different direction with effort, I thought. Sayaka and Rinmei seemed to think the same thing.
“Um, Shiorina-san? Isn’t that going to stand out a lot?”
“…We’re technically streamers. Revealing our faces is dangerous.”
“R-right? But it’s a special flower-viewing, so I thought it’d be okay to dress up a little…”
“No, you’re definitely going to get hit on wearing that,” Sayaka said bluntly.
Yet Shiorina-san just tilted her head, puzzled. This isn’t good… I thought.
“…Eiji. What’s that on the desk?”
“Hm? Oh, this? It’s a newly released manga. Looked interesting, so I was gonna read it.”
“Ah, I saw that one too! …It made me feel kinda restless for some reason,” Sayaka commented.
I haven’t read it yet, so I wish she’d stop spoiling the vibe… I glanced at the clock.
“…It’s about time. Shall we get going?”
“Yes, let’s. We’ll want a good spot too. Sayaka, Rinmei—are you both ready?”
“Eh, already!? W-wait, I still have stuff I wanna bring!!”
“…I need to check a few things too.”
At Shiorina-san’s words, Sayaka and Rinmei hurried back to their rooms in a panic.
Left behind, Shiorina-san and I looked at each other and smiled wryly.
“…Looks like this year is going to be lively again.”
“Yes. But I think that’s just right for us.”
“You’re right.”
While having that little exchange with Shiorina-san, I grabbed the things I’d prepared earlier and left the room together with her.
Last year was full of ups and downs, but I hope this year we can spend our days peacefully…
Thinking that, I walked side by side with Shiorina-san.

Extra 2: A Certain Flower-Viewing
“Waa…! So pretty…! Eiji-san, Eiji-san! Look! The cherry blossoms are absolutely gorgeous!”
Watching Sayaka bounce around like an excited kid under the trees, I couldn’t help smiling.
Rinmei let out an exasperated sigh at Sayaka’s antics, but she was quietly holding a handful of pale pink petals, so the beauty must have gotten to her too.
Shiorina-san stood speechless in front of the dreamlike cherry trees, occasionally letting out soft sounds of admiration as she gazed up.
We were still carrying our stuff, looking for the perfect spot, but honestly, just coming to stare at the sakura would’ve been enough.
That’s how breathtaking the view was. Nature really is something else.
Still, we did come for flower-viewing, so we needed to claim a place first.
Luckily we’d arrived early, so there weren’t many people yet. We managed to secure a nice patch of grass without trouble.
“Sayaka! Stop wandering so far and come back here! Time to eat~!”
When I called out loudly, she shouted “Coming~!” in a cheerful voice and trotted over.
“…Sayaka, you’re too loud. I’m embarrassed to be seen with you.”
“No way! If you don’t make noise here you’ll regret it later! It’s the super-pretty sakura’s fault!”
“…Feels like I suddenly got a loud little sister. So much work.”
“I’m technically the older one, though!?”
As usual, the two of them launched into their comedy routine.
I watched them fondly while setting our bags down and spreading out the picnic sheet.
“Shiorina-san, could you give me a hand? If you hold that corner it’ll be easier.”
“Of course. Like this?”
With Shiorina-san in her kimono helping, we got the flower-viewing setup ready together.
Partway through, Sayaka and Rinmei noticed and came over to help too—though it was literally just spreading a sheet and putting bags down.
“Kyaa!?”
Maybe because of the kimono, Shiorina-san suddenly lost her balance.
I managed to catch her in time so she didn’t fall, but…
“A-are you okay, Shiorina-san?”
“Ah… Thank you so much, Eiji-san…”
“…Shiorina-san?”
“…Ehehe… Eiji-san’s body…”
“…”
For some reason she wouldn’t let go, leaving me flustered, while the other two shot me glares sharp enough to kill. It was rough, but we somehow finished setting up.
“…Well then. Prep took a little longer than planned, but shall we eat?”
The moment I said that, all three pairs of eyes lit up like I’d flipped a switch.
W-when you look at me that eagerly it’s hard to serve the food…
I opened the flower-viewing bento boxes we’d made early this morning.
Inside were colorful, beautifully arranged dishes.
“Waa…!”
The three of them sparkled even more. U-uhh… that reaction is making me nervous.
“…Let’s dig in.”
They clearly couldn’t wait any longer.
At my words they nodded, put their hands together, and bowed slightly.
“Itadakimasu.”
I picked up my chopsticks and tried the rolled omelette first.
…Yep, turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself.
“Wow, yum!? These meat rolls are amazing, Eiji-san!”
“…Sayaka. That’s my onigiri. Give it back.”
“Finder keepers! There’s still more, so just take another one! Wai—hey, don’t come over here—!”
“Okay, okay, you two. Stop fighting over food. Have a little manners, please.”
“…Says the person currently eating at Mach speed.”
“Your appetite is on another level compared to us right now.”
“Ugh…”
The three of them kept up their lively, warm banter.
Watching them, I smiled without thinking, sipped the tea I’d poured into my cup, and gazed at the cherry blossoms.
(…Looks like this is going to be another good year.)
Feeling that quiet certainty, we all enjoyed our flower-viewing to the fullest.
