Things To Do At Home.
I had feared that my morning runs might end after just three days, but unexpectedly, it became a part of my daily routine.
Recently, I even added strength training before breakfast.
By eating a lot of food, it felt like my body was becoming stronger.
“Off to school!” I called out with newfound confidence, my voice coming from deep in my stomach.
My parents had noticed the change and were surprised by it.
“Yukio, you’ve really changed. You’ve got a different vibe,” my mom said.
“Is that so?” I replied.
But the one I wanted to notice the most was…
“Yukio, you’ve gotten so much more solid,” Haruka said as we ate lunch together on the rooftop, just the two of us.
“Really?” I asked.
“Yeah. Can I touch it?” Haruka asked as she reached over to touch my upper arm, over my uniform.
“Wow, it’s so firm… I didn’t know boys’ arms were this hard,” she said, studying my arm closely, and I felt my heart race.
Though, to be honest, the sensation of Haruka’s soft hand on my arm felt amazing.
“You’ve definitely gained some confidence, haven’t you?” she said.
“Not yet. I’m still far from being worthy of being your boyfriend,” I replied.
“You’re so serious. But that’s what I like about you,” she said, her eyes softening.
“Haruka…” I murmured.
As we gazed at each other, it felt like our lips were naturally drawing closer, but I managed to stop myself just in time.
“…So, it’s still no?”
“…Yeah, sorry.”
“It’s fine. Then, can I at least do this?”
Haruka leaned in and placed a soft kiss on my cheek.
“I love you, Yukio~,” she said, her cheeks tinged with a blush, looking absolutely adorable.
“…Thank you,” I replied, though I wanted to say I love you too.
But I swallowed those words for now.
If I work just a little harder, I’ll be able to proudly declare that Haruka is mine.
And when that day comes, I’ll do everything I’ve dreamed of doing with her.
The mere thought made my own cheeks flush red.
To change the subject, I said,
“By the way, Haruka, you live alone, right?”
“Yeah, in a cheap apartment.”
“Aren’t your parents worried about you?”
“Not really, they’re pretty hands-off.”
“I see. But living alone must be nice. You get a lot of freedom.”
“Yeah, but it also means I have to handle everything myself—cooking, laundry, and so on.”
“You’d make a great wife,” I blurted out, then froze and covered my mouth.
Haruka broke into a mischievous smile and hugged my arm tightly, pressing herself against me again.
And once again, I couldn’t ignore the soft sensation of her ample chest.
“…What size are you?”
I regretted the words the instant they slipped out.
“If you make me your girlfriend, I’ll tell you♡”
“That’s so unfair~”
“Right back at you,” she shot back.
We teased each other and burst into laughter together.

The door closed behind me with a thud.
I placed my bag down, letting the golden hues of the setting sun streaming through the window fill the room. The futon was still laid out—I had rushed out this morning without putting it away to avoid being late again. It annoyed me earlier, but now I feel relieved to see it like this.
Collapsing face-first onto the futon, I let out a muffled sigh into the pillow.
“…What should I do?”
“…Even though we’ve only just met, I’m falling deeper and deeper for Yukio.”
I turned onto my side and started unbuttoning my blouse. The fabric fell open, revealing my bra. My fingers traced over my stomach, the sensation sending a small shiver through me. My hand wandered upward, and as I brushed against my chest, I let out a small gasp.
“…I’ll need to go shopping for a new one soon,” I murmured to myself, unclasping my bra. Lately, it had felt tight again—proof of more growth. As the tension released, a wave of relief washed over me. My fingers trailed over my chest absently, almost instinctively.
“…Ah.”
I froze. No, I can’t. I shouldn’t be doing this. But ever since I met Yukio, I’ve felt different. Something inside me changed.
“…Would Yukio hate me if he knew I was this kind of girl?”
But this is his fault, isn’t it?
Before I met him, my life was a routine—school and housework, nothing more. My world was empty, colorless. Then he appeared and painted everything vibrant, filled it with light and warmth.
I sighed, glancing toward the walls. Thank goodness my neighbor isn’t home. These walls are so thin—if they were here, they’d hear everything.
“…If Yukio and I ever do something here, I’ll have to make sure to keep my voice down.”
The thought makes my face flush. Imagining a future that hasn’t even been decided yet, my head becomes a chaotic mess of emotions.
“…Idiot Yukio. Hurry up and make me your girlfriend already,” I muttered, my cheeks burning as I pouted into the quiet room.
