The S-Class Beautiful Sisters at My New School Somehow Got Super Attached to Me and Ended Up Becoming Yandere Without Me Even Realizing It - Chapter 29.2
Chapter 29.2
After I got home, ate dinner, and took a bath, I went back to my room and my phone rang right away.
“H-hello? Mizuki-san?”
“Yeah, it’s me. Good evening.”
“G-good evening. What’s up?”
“I was reading your novel and suddenly really wanted to talk. You busy?”
“I just got back to my room, so I’m good.”
“Great. Hey, this is kinda sudden, but are you free tomorrow after school?”
“Tomorrow? Don’t we have club?”
“After that. Oh yeah, did you go somewhere with Yuzuki?”
“Not really. Oh, wait—we did stop by the conbini and Yuzuki-san treated me to ice cream.”
“Hmm, Yuzuki did, huh. Well, whatever.”
“Whatever?”
“Nothing, never mind. Anyway, if you’ve got time tomorrow, wanna come over to my place on the way home?”
“Your place…? Wait, you mean your house, Mizuki-san?”
My voice cracked without meaning to, and I heard Mizuki-san laughing on the other end.
“Hehe, you don’t have to freak out that much. It’s not just gonna be the two of us anyway. Yuzuki might even be there.”
“Well, yeah, but still…”
“The clubroom’s fine, but sometimes changing the vibe helps better ideas come up. Let’s wrap up club early tomorrow and have our meeting at my place.”
I still had a bunch of stuff I wanted to say, but Mizuki-san just went, “Okay, it’s settled then,” all one-sidedly.
Right after she hung up, a LINE message came through.
『Keep tomorrow a secret from Yuzuki. I wanna surprise her』
Mizuki-san kinda seemed like she was teasing me and having fun with it.
Well, yeah, we’re the same age, but she’s way more mature, so maybe she just sees me as some kid.
I replied “Got it” for now, then flopped onto my bed.
I thought about the next part of the novel I’d been working on today until I eventually passed out.
◇
“Hey.”
Morning.
I’d just reached the school gate when some unfamiliar voice called out from behind.
I turned around and saw a guy I didn’t recognize glaring at me with a scary face.
“Y-yeah?”
“You’re Tendou from second year, right?”
“Uh, yeah. That’s me.”
The guy was tall and built, looked kinda flashy but grown-up—probably a senior—but I still had no clue who he was.
While I stood there trying to figure it out, he stepped right up next to me and said in a low voice,
“Don’t get too full of yourself.”
“Huh?”
“Don’t play dumb. I don’t know what you did, but you’re getting way too cozy with Aoyama Mizuki, aren’t you?”
Aoyama Mizuki.
The second I heard that name, Nakanishi’s warning from yesterday flashed through my head.
“I-I’m not… we’re just classmates, that’s all.”
“You’re telling me that Aoyama would just casually hang out with some random guy? Don’t screw with me. Even I got rejected, you know? So what’d you do? Your family loaded or something?”
His mouth twitched like he was barely holding back his anger while he got closer and closer.
More and more students were starting to show up on their way to school.
Then one of my soccer club classmates who was out jogging went,
“Sudo-senpai, morning!”
He stopped to greet the guy, then kept running.
“Sudo… wait, the soccer team’s ace?”
“What, you didn’t even know who I was? Whatever. More importantly—what’s your deal with Aoyama Mizuki?”
“I-I told you, we’re just in the same club, same year, that’s it!”
I tried explaining, and he went, “Hmph, fine then.”
I thought he was finally convinced and let out a quiet breath of relief, but then,
“So you’re close enough to cover for her, huh. Wow, that’s lame.”
“Lame?”
“She acts like she’s not interested in guys, but here she is getting all buddy-buddy with one. And with a bean sprout like you, no less. Haha, what shitty taste. Makes me wanna puke. Don’t let getting a little friendly with her go to your head, seriously.”
After trashing me like that, for some reason he threatened me again.
I’m a guy too.
It pissed me off, obviously, but there were people around, and more than that, this senior was way bigger than me.
I didn’t have the guts to snap back, so I just said, “I’ll be careful,” and bowed my head.
Then Sudo-senpai laughed again.
“Haha, what a pathetic loser. Well, since you’re reflecting so hard, do me one favor.”
“…What?”
“Introduce me to her little sister.”
“…Huh?”
For a second I didn’t get it.
Wasn’t this guy into Mizuki-san?
Why’d Yuzuki-san suddenly come up?
My brain was all jumbled, but his next words snapped everything into focus.
“I mean, they look the same anyway. Doesn’t matter which one, as long as I can hit it.”
He smirked, patting my shoulder like we were buddies, and that grin and voice had already been pissing me off the whole time.
But more than any of that—
The way he talked about those two like they were nothing… I couldn’t stand it.
“…Take that back.”
“Huh? What’d you just say?”
“I said take it back! Don’t talk about them like that, you piece of shit!”
I think this was the first time blood ever rushed to my head like that.
Before I knew it, I’d grabbed the front of his shirt.
But the fist I swung up never reached him.
I got punched hard, flew back, and my consciousness cut out right there in the air.
Next thing I knew, I woke up in the nurse’s office.
