Episode 46: Sei-chan’s Wrath
“Well then, goodbye. Yohei-kun, see you tomorrow… Bye-bye.”
Hime, carrying her schoolbag, waved at me as she left the classroom.
Perhaps feeling reluctant to part, she kept glancing back at me, waving every time our eyes met. I waved back each time, but eventually, she disappeared from view.
Over the past few days, I’ve spent quite a bit of time with Hime and have seen more of her childlike side. Despite her adorable appearance, she’s a one-of-a-kind genius.
Because of that, she always seems busy after school. She probably has a packed schedule.
…At the very least, I want to help her relax enough to act like a regular kid while she’s at school.
With that thought in mind, I started packing my bag to head home. A few minutes behind Hime, I was about to leave when—
“Ping-pong-pang-pong♪”
The classroom speakers suddenly chimed.
I figured it was a routine announcement or maybe a call from the teachers’ office, so I didn’t pay much attention… until—
“Calling a student. Second-year, Class One, Ozora Yohei-kun, please come to the student council room immediately.”
…Huh?
Did they just say my name?
“Repeating. Second-year, Class One, Ozora Yohei-kun, please come to the student council room immediately.”
I listened carefully this time—no mistake. They definitely called me.
(The student council room… The student council?)
It was an organization I had nothing to do with—until recently.
“…Ah.”
I remembered.
I had just made friends with someone who happened to be the vice president of the student council.
(Sei-san!)
Hoshimiya Sei—Hime’s older sister. Her position in the student council was well-known.
Now that I thought about it, the voice from the speakers sounded like hers, though the poor speaker quality made it hard to tell at first.
Realizing it was her, I let out a breath of relief.
I’d been bracing myself, thinking I was about to get scolded by someone—but if it was Sei-san, things probably wouldn’t be too bad—
“—Sit in seiza. Yohei, I have something to discuss with you.”
The moment I stepped into the student council room, I was ordered to sit in seiza on the floor.
I thought I wouldn’t get scolded… but apparently, Sei-san was not in a good mood.
“…Um, where is everyone else?”
“There are no student council meetings today, so don’t worry. No one’s coming.”
The room was about the size of the principal’s office—small enough that ten people would make it feel cramped. But with just the two of us, it felt strangely spacious.
“Then why are you here?”
“…I told you, I have something to discuss with you.”
“If it’s just a talk, couldn’t we have done this anywhere?”
“It’s not something I can discuss in front of others, so I called you here.”
Wait, really? What kind of talk was this? And what did I do to make her so angry?
With her arms crossed, Sei-san stood before me like a statue, towering in front of me.
…This angle is kind of awkward. Her thighs are right at eye level, and her summer uniform’s short hem keeps flashing a glimpse of her belly.
“…Looking away means you know you’re guilty, doesn’t it?”
Apparently, she completely misinterpreted my wandering eyes.
That’s not it… or maybe it is, a little?
I couldn’t even tell anymore, so I decided to just ask.
“W-Why are you mad?”
“—Because you’re a lolicon, aren’t you?”
…Oh, so that’s what this is about!
Come to think of it, she still believed that ridiculous misunderstanding.
