Episode 14: Relaxed or Just Scatterbrained?
After the incident with the principal, I could finally sit down and enjoy lunch… or so I thought. But then I realized something that I noticed just now.
“Hime…? Now that I think about it, where’s the Lunchbox?”
Apparently, she had prepared lunch for me as well. But now that I thought about it, she had been empty-handed this entire time, and I am yet to see anything resembling a lunchbox with her.
I was so caught up in chatting with Hime that I had completely forgotten about the existence of lunchbox until this moment.
So, where is it really?
“It should be arriving soon, I think”
“Arriving…? Did you order a delivery to the school or something?”
“Delivery—now that’s an intriguing idea as well. Perhaps I’ll try it next time as well. But no, that’s not the case for today. Someone is bringing the lunchbox for us, something like that.”
Eh, so someone’s coming here as well?
Someone’s delivering Hime’s lunchbox here for her. And if I think logically, the only one capable is … her.
Hime’s family member who attends this school—her older sister, Hoshimiya Sei-san.
“—!”
I’d always figured that, since I was getting close to Hime, I’d run into her elder sister sooner or later.
However, by no means I was expecting it to happen now, and I definitely wasn’t mentally prepared for it.
Just what kind of face should I make when I meet her?
After all, yesterday, Hime had said:
*“Please marry my Onee-chan!”*
Of course, I didn’t take it seriously.
But if by chance, Hime had told her elder sister about that as well… that made me kind of scared and nervous in return.
I wonder what would Hoshimiya-san think about me in that case?
[Tl notes: referring to Hoshimiya Sei.]
I can only hope Hime hadn’t mentioned that thing to her. If this was just a regular first meeting, I could probably get through it somehow. I think.
As I was caught up in my thoughts, the moment eventually arrived.
*Clack!*
The door suddenly swung open.
Without even knocking, a girl with beautiful black hair entered the room.
“Konn-konn♪ Hime-chan, sorry! I got a little delayed because I stopped by the restroom~”
The girl carrying a portable bag was unmistakably Hoshimiya Sei.
Since we were in different classes, I’d never spoken to her before. But, I knew who she was, she was that famous after all.
And for good reason—Hoshimiya-san was stunningly beautiful.
Unlike something like Hime’s cuteness; she was something like, had a mature charm to her…. Anyways, her exceptional looks made her incredibly popular among the boys.
“…Yohei-kun, I’m sorry. My Onee-chan has this habit of ‘knocking’ with her words instead of her hands,”
“Nope, it’s really fine, like, … uh, I mean…”
Nevertheless, I should introduce myself first.
But before I could say a word, Hoshimiya-san beat me to it.
“Ah! Come to think of it, there’s a boy with us today as well… ugh, forget I said ‘restroom’! I went to pick flowers, okay? My bad~”
…Thi—this person seems incredibly my-pace.
How do I say, that surely caught me completely off guard, leaving me feeling both surprised and a little disarmed.
“I told you clearly this morning that Yohei-kun would be accompanying us today. Were you too sleepy to remember?”
“I – I *do* remember mon! Your Onee-chan is totally reliable… Oh, wait, now it makes sense. That’s why there’s an extra lunchbox today, right~!”
“…Yohei-kun, I’m sorry. This is my Onee-chan. She are moments where her few screws seems to be scattered here and there, but all in all… since she is pretty, please have heart to forgive her.”
“Just ‘because she’s pretty’ doesn’t really seem like a valid reason to forgive some—, … welp, okay I guess.”
*Maybe a little, I guess,* huh?
Perhaps because of her stunning looks, I’d have always imagined her as the composed and dependable type… but maybe Hoshimiya-san was more easygoing—and absentminded—than I had assumed her to be.
