The Reason Why The Cool Beauty Who Repeatedly Ignores Messages Replies Only To Me. ~The Lonely Beauty Wants To Know The Lonely Me〜 - Chapter 53
Episode 53: The Flower of Love Blooming on the Way Home
—Early Morning
“Cock-a-doodle-doo! It’s morning, you two!”
…Hmm?
I woke up to the sound of the tent opening with a rustle, as I was sleeping in a sleeping bag near the entrance.
Saeki, who was sleeping deeper inside, also woke up groggily.
“…Michifuji-san, you’re noisy this early in the morning.”
Maybe because she just woke up, Saeki seemed unusually grumpy.
“Did you have fun last night?
“Nothing happened.”
As I said that, Tamari entered the tent and leaned close to my ear.
“…I heard your voice, you know ♡”
“That’s just your imagination.”
I pushed Tamari away and stepped out of the tent.
The early morning air was clear, and the view of the sea from the campsite on the hill was exceptionally beautiful.
“…Kotoku, good morning.”
As I gazed at the sea, Mishiro, with her messy short hair, came over with sleepy eyes.
“Mishiro… your bed hair is terrible.”
“It’s rude to point out a lady’s appearance.”
“You should fix your own appearance first before saying that.”
“Jeez… then fix your bed head, Onii-chan.”
“Onii?!”
“If you had a wild night with my sister yesterday, then Kotoku and I are practically siblings now.”
“We didn’t do anything like that!”
“You definitely did. Kotoku smells like my sister’s perfume.”
“Well… we were sleeping next to each other, so some of it might rub off.”
“…Naughty.”
“Hah?!”
As we bickered in the morning, three others approached from behind Mishiro.
“Good morning, Okami. Let’s get ready for the BBQ.”
“A, ah, Machibari…huh? Wait, three consecutive BBQ meals is crazy!”
Reluctantly, we ended up having BBQ for three meals, pushed into it by the Saeki sisters.

After packing up the tent and saying our goodbyes to the campsite manager, we pulled our luggage and spent the time before the bus arrived gazing at the sea from the bus stop.
“That went by so quickly, didn’t it? I wanted to play more.”
“We went to the beach, had BBQ, and went camping, so that’s enough.”
Tamari rested her chin on her hand, looking as if she hadn’t had enough while waiting for the bus.
“Michifuji-san, wouldn’t it be nice if we could come again next year?”
“Yeah… please let me eat more meat.”
“Same here.”
While Machibari was following Tamari, the Saeki sisters were only thinking about meat.
“That’s right…let’s come again next year, okay?”
Tamari said as she looked at me.
Why is she saying that to me?
“I’m fine, so you four girls go ahead.”
“Don’t say such lonely things, Kotoku-kun! I’ll even let you share a tent with Saeki-chan again!”
“If there’s no tent for one person, then I’m definitely not going.”
“Ugh… Saeki-chan, say something!”
“Why me…”
Suddenly, Saeki was called.
“…Come on, Okami-kun. It’s boring without you.”
Saeki says, glancing at me out of the corner of her eye.
“Saeki-chan is dere… did you two do it yesterday?”
“”We didn’t!””
The pointless conversation went on until the bus arrived.
On the way back, we sat in the longest seats at the back of the bus, with Mishiro, Machibari, Tamari, me, and Saeki in a row.
Mishiro and Machibari seemed to be still talking about some obscure academic topic, while Tamari teased me, and Saeki looked out of the window.
“Well, I’m glad you seemed to be having fun, Kotoku-kun.”
“…I’m not really.”
“You seemed to be enjoying yourself.”
Saeki joined the conversation while looking out the window.
“Saeki-chan had fun too, right?”
“…That’s right. Thank you, Michifuji-san.”
“Has Saeki-chan’s personality softened a bit?”
“Saeki was originally too sharp.”
“You’re noisy. You were sharp before too, but now you’re trying to deceive girls.”
“I didn’t do that.”
“Well, well, both of you.”
Rarely, Tamari intervened to mediate between us.
It got a little awkward with Saeki.
Just as I was thinking that, my phone buzzed with a usual notification.
“Saeki: So, when are we going to the fireworks?”
Wasn’t she angry? I saw a slight smirk on Saeki’s face when she looked out the window as we entered the tunnel.
Saeki must have messaged on purpose so no one else would hear.
“I’ll ask you out again.”
I sent that and closed my eyes on the bus.
It was only for two days, but it was incredibly tiring.
Saeki and the fireworks… huh.
[Afterword]
They’re being all lovey-dovey (do it more).
