The Reason Why The Cool Beauty Who Repeatedly Ignores Messages Replies Only To Me. ~The Lonely Beauty Wants To Know The Lonely Me〜 - Chapter 37
Episode 37: Mishiro’s Feelings
After being the victim of a pudding thief (Saeki’s escape), when Saeki and I returned to the apartment, her sister was waiting in her loungewear.
“You’re late, Okami. Were you fooling around with my sister?”
“We weren’t doing anything like that.”
Her little sister greeted us in casual attire, a fluffy white loungewear set with cat ears on the hood and hot pants.
It looked a bit tight around her chest, making it seem like the wrong size.
“Hey, Okami-kun. Could you stop ogling my sister?”
Saeki snapped at me.
“Okami is a creepy introvert, so he can’t help it… I don’t really care.”
“You, I won’t forgive you if you say such a thing and try to seduce Okami-kun.”
“…You should do it too, sister. It’s not like you can’t.”
These guys are fighting again…
“I bought you guys pudding, so get along a bit better.”
I mediated, and Saeki and her sister snorted, each taking a seat to eat their pudding.
“So, Saeki, who takes my pudding for granted, is seriously planning to take it away from me? How heartless.”
“I’m just kidding. But… since I won, it’s up to me what I do with it.”
“What will you do?”
Before I could tilt my head, Saeki peeled the lid off a new pudding and brought a spoonful towards me.
“…I’ll feed you your share. Feel honored.”
As usual, Saeki was teasing me.
“No, I’ll eat it myself.”
“No. If you eat it yourself, I’ll eat this pudding too.”
“Y…You…”
In the end, I had no choice but to be fed the pudding by Saeki.
She scooped it up with a plastic spoon and fed it to me. ‘
Her sister watched with a cold stare, but I obediently accepted Saeki’s, “ahh.”
“Okami-kun… you look like a baby.”
The word “humiliation” kept echoing in my mind and my head felt like it was pounding.
This is the most humiliating moment of my life.
“Wow, being babied by my sister who is the same age as you… Okami, ●●●●●●, ●ie.”
“No one here is on my side, huh?”
“Now that you’ve had your fill, teach me about MiniMon.”
“Fine, fine.”
Her sister tugged on my left arm, leading me to the TV.
I thought I was saved from Saeki’s feeding, but Saeki grabbed my right arm, holding me back.
“Wait. There’s still pudding left.”
“Sister went shopping earlier. Now it’s my turn to play with Okami.”
The Saeki sisters started arguing over me like a toy.
“Continuing this pointless argument isn’t wise. How about we settle it with rock-paper-scissors? The loser goes to their room for ten minutes.”
“Fine. My sister always throws rock first.”
“Hey, Mishiro. Psychological tactics are cheating.”
Saeki was unusually upset…?
Why did I listen to this seriously?
I don’t care about this rock, paper, scissors.
“Rock-paper-scissors!”
✳︎✳︎
“Okami, if you had to switch out here, which MiniMon would be best?”
Her sister won the rock-paper-scissors and got to play with me, while Saeki, grumbling, returned to her room with two puddings for ten minutes.
“For type matchups, this one is good. It keeps the advantage even after switching.”
“I see…”
She looked at the game screen with serious eyes. After winning, she genuinely thanked me.
When we first met, I thought she was a pain, but once we got to know each other, she turned out to be a pretty cute high school girl (still foul-mouthed, though).
“You’re more approachable than Saeki.”
“…I’m not like this with everyone. You’re easy to talk to, so you’re special. Be grateful, you introvert.”
“Introvert, introvert…”
“Because you are.”
“…I can’t argue with that.”
When I answered that, the little sister gave a rare smile.
“How did you and my sister meet? Because you’re both introverts?”
Does she think Saeki is an introvert too?
“Me and Saeki met because…I sent a lime, Saeki replied, and it just happened…”
“You messaged her? That’s quite bold.”
“I couldn’t talk to her directly, so I’m still an introvert.”
The little sister said, “Sure,” and laughed.
“But it’s impressive that my sister replied. Even to me, she only sends short responses like ‘k’ or ‘yeah.'”
Even though she claims to care about her sister, Saeki sends her such brief messages.
“But I don’t mind. My sister is kind in real life.”
“Saeki is kind? To you?”
“Yes. She bathes with me, sleeps with me after scary movies, buys me anything I want, and cuts my hair.”
She shook her short hair, emphasizing her point.
“Though she’s clumsy and always messes up.”
I always wondered why her hair was short when Saeki’s was long—it was because Saeki cut it.
“I like it when she cuts my hair, so I don’t get mad even if she messes up.”
“You really care about your sister, huh?”
“If you’re going to compliment me, pat my head.”
She guided my hand onto her head.
“My sister always pats me when she compliments me. From now on, you need to pat me too.”
“Uh, okay?”
“And call me Mishiro, not ‘little sister.’ I’ll call you Kotoku.”
Unlike Saeki, she’s much quicker to get close…
“Kotoku, the next battle is starting. Help me again?”
“Sure.”
