Summary
That day, I, Haruki Ogura, left my notebook at school.
Since I have a homework due tomorrow in that notebook, I decided to go back to school at night to get my notebook.
However, when I was about to enter my class, I saw a scene that haunts me to this day.
“Ahnn…hmphhh…this is the best♡”
It was my childhood friend, Niimi Yua, embracing a stranger, half naked…
Is that really Yua? What is happening?

Coming to an NTR tagged story to complain about NTR in the story, yeah, that sounds right.
Absolute dogshit. NTR lovers will defend this crap but let’s be honest, revenge is always a payoff for the torture of reading NTR. If you want to justify this shit then keep being a pseudo intellectual, but for people who want to spend their time on less useless stories, AVOID.
Okay, so I kinda skimmed through it because I was curious after reading the comments and I’ll say this rapid-fire: The title is misleading because they’re just childhood friends. The MC is extremely indecisive. The childhood friend is mentally disturbed as a result of a certain traumatic incident that happens in the past that you can probably guess right now based on the context (but that’s no excuse to hurt her childhood friend as much as she did and I’m not sure I like how much the story tried to redeem her). The best girl (and character) is MC’s new girlfriend; she deserves better tbh. Finally, I think that barely anything is resolved by the end of the story.
Ignore the stupid incel comments; this isn’t a cheating revenge story but a story about trauma and healing with a remarkably mature and realistic tone. It’s starts with the usual NTR-revenge setup but quickly shifts into a plot about the complicated and painful aftermath of social violence and mental illness. Don’t read it if you want paper cutout villains and neat “serves you right” resolutions, but if you usually don’t like this kind of story because of how shallow and (let’s be honest) misogynistic they are, then consider checking this out as an alternative.
Everyone who was smart enough to come to the comment section. Don’t waste your time, the ending is not worth it, you can read it if you want some dogshit NTR content paired with revenge, etc. but most people who agree that there are better novels to read than this absolute garbage.
What are some of the better novels in this genre?

Technically, he doesn’t get back together with his friend; in fact, they remain friends. But the girl hasn’t given up, and the protagonist continues dating the other girl, accepting the strange relationship the three of them have. There’s an extra chapter the author wrote where, in the first chapter, the protagonist decides to confront the camera and sees it filming, so he defends his childhood friend. It follows more or less the same development as the main story, except that they do become a couple. I liked the author’s comment about that “if” scenario; if the protagonist is strong, many of the problems are resolved more easily.
Not exactly he ends up with the other girl he just can’t turn his back on her which I do find as a cop out but for what she went through and how much he cared for her it’s kinda understandable
