- The Puppet Protagonist: Adriel's Life is Controlled by Everyone Around Him
- Chap 41 - Sisterly Rivalry Part 2
Determined to find her younger sister’s weakness, Ayano had to accept defeat for the time being. The next morning at their mother Anastasia’s house, they woke up early and were already drinking coffee by 6 a.m., with a special guest present, Mira.
Mira was the youngest of the sisters, just 16 years old, the same age as Adriel. Unlike the rest of the sisters, who refused to reveal their age, Mira was open and gentle in her demeanor. As soon as she saw her sisters, she greeted them warmly, saying, “Good morning, my dear sisters Seda and Ayano.”
“Good morning,” they both replied.
Unlike Ayano’s sarcastic tone towards Seda, Mira’s gentle personality shone through in her interactions. She sat next to Seda, and the three sisters began their day.
Mira’s blonde hair and blue eyes gave her an ethereal quality that was uncommon in the Matsuda family. Even Seda, who was known for her kindness, was taken aback by Mira’s innocence and purity. Ayano and Seda couldn’t help but wonder how long their mother would allow Mira to remain untainted.
In their family, they were taught from an early age by their mother, Anastasia, that they had to fight for what they wanted and achieve it through their own efforts. Seda was closer to their father, Paul, and thus less influenced by their mother’s malice. However, traces of it could still be seen. Mira, on the other hand, seemed to have none of her mother’s traits.
“I heard your boyfriend disappeared, Ayano.” “That’s too bad,” Mira said, her tone gentle and sincere.
Ayano sensed that Mira wasn’t trying to be sarcastic but was genuinely concerned.
“Don’t worry, Mira.” “I’ll help her,” Seda chimed in, trying to encourage her younger sister.
Mira’s face lit up with gratitude.

Breakfast ended quickly and Mira went to school, she studied at one of the many schools run by the Matsuda family, while Seda and Ayano left, Seda had to help her sister look for her boyfriend.
As soon as Mira was gone, Seda turned to Ayano with a sly smile and asked, “So where did your useless boyfriend disappear to this time?”
“He was last seen near the underworld,” Ayano replied, her voice dripping with disdain.
Seda rolled her eyes. “Figures. “That loser always ends up in trouble.”
The underworld was a seedy part of town controlled by their mother, Anastasia. It was a place where criminals and lowlifes gathered, and it was no surprise that Ayano’s boyfriend had ended up there.
Ayano couldn’t help but think, “Why does Mira get to be the innocent one? It’s not fair.” She gritted her teeth in frustration.
Seda noticed her sister’s annoyance and said, “You should learn from Mira, Ayano. Her purity is a breath of fresh air in this family.”
Ayano scoffed, “I don’t need her purity, Seda. I have my own strength.”
When they entered the underworld, they saw their mother’s men guarding the entrance. Ayano glared at them and said, “Move aside; we’re looking for someone.”
One of the guards tried to stop them, but Seda stepped in, “Don’t even think about it. We’re Matsudas; we do what we want.”
Ayano and Seda walked towards the underworld, feeling uneasy. The underworld was a dark and dangerous place, a place where their mother, Anastasia, held complete control.
Anastasia was known as the Queen of the Underworld, ruling with an iron fist. Her power was absolute, and she had eyes and ears everywhere. She controlled the criminal underworld, and many illegal activities in the city were under her direct influence.
As they walked deeper, the atmosphere changed. The air was thick with smoke, and gunfire echoed in the distance. Seda shuddered, but Ayano pushed on, determined to find her boyfriend.
They finally arrived at a seedy bar that was dimly lit and filled with rough patrons. Ayano felt out of place as she searched for any sign of her boyfriend, but he was nowhere to be seen.
If Ayano didn’t find her boyfriend at the bar, their next move would be to track down an information broker. These brokers were the go-to source for any kind of information in the underworld.
These brokers had a network of contacts that allowed them to gather information on just about anything, from the location of people to the latest criminal activities. They would often sell this information to the highest bidder, whether it be a rival gang or a private investigator.
To find an information broker, Ayano and Seda would need to navigate the dark alleyways and backstreets of the underworld. These brokers were not easy to find, and they often worked from hidden locations to avoid detection by law enforcement.
Once they found an information broker, they would need to negotiate a price for the information they were seeking. These brokers were skilled negotiators, and they knew the value of the information they possessed. Ayano and Seda would need to be prepared to pay a hefty price for the information they needed.
Information vendors were a dime a dozen in the underworld, and they could be a valuable resource for those in need of information. These sellers were often people who had their ears to the ground and knew the ins and outs of the criminal world. They would sell information on anything from rival gangs to the location of stolen goods.
As the daughters of the Queen of the Underworld, Seda and Ayano had an advantage in dealing with these vendors. Their mother’s reputation preceded them, and many vendors were willing to provide them with information for fear of angering the Matsuda family.
So, Seda and Ayano set out to find an information vendor. They walked through the dark alleys and streets of the underworld, keeping an eye out for anyone who looked like they might have information to sell.
Finally, they found a man sitting alone in a dingy corner of a rundown building. He looked up as they approached, eyeing them suspiciously.
“What do you want?” he asked.
“We’re looking for information,” Seda said coolly. “And we’re willing to pay for it.”
The man leaned back in his chair, sizing them up. “Depends on what you’re looking for,” he said.
Seda and Ayano exchanged a glance. They needed information about Ayano’s missing boyfriend, but they didn’t want to reveal too much.
“We’re looking for someone,” Ayano said. “We need to know where he is.”
The man raised an eyebrow. “And why should I help you?”
Seda leaned forward. “Because if you don’t, you’ll be dealing with our mother.”
The man’s eyes widened in fear. “Okay, okay,” he said quickly. “I know where he is. But it’s going to cost you.”
Ayano carefully counted out the gold coins and handed them over to the man. He greedily snatched them from her hand, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
“I was sure someone would buy this information when I saw the boyfriend of the Queen of the Underworld’s daughter,” he said, smirking.
Ayano glared at him, resisting the urge to punch him in the face. She knew that she needed this information, and she couldn’t let her emotions get the better of her.
The man took out his phone and snapped a picture of the bag of gold coins before showing Ayano the picture of her boyfriend being kidnapped. She gasped at the sight, feeling her heart sink.
“After he ran away, he came to the underworld to hide, but he was kidnapped by the cacino,” the man continued. “At that moment, he is being traded with another boy. If I’m not mistaken, his name is Adriel.”
