- Chap 40 - Sisterly Rivalry Part 1
In order to get her mother’s help, Seda had to assist her difficult sister Ayano.
Out of Seda’s 20 sisters, Ayano was the one she got along with the least. Due to her fiery temper, Ayano was always looking for a fight and teasing her sisters, especially Seda.
“So, Seda, when are we going to start the search?” Ayano asked impatiently.
“Tomorrow. But for now, I need to get some rest. Your boyfriend isn’t that important,” Seda replied nonchalantly.
Seda couldn’t stand Ayano’s impatience, always demanding and never grateful. Out of all her sisters, Ayano was the one who constantly pushed her buttons, with her snarky comments and condescending tone. It was no surprise that Seda was less than thrilled about helping her find her boyfriend.
Ayano, on the other hand, couldn’t wait to find her missing boyfriend. She was desperate to know where he was and what he was doing, even if it meant asking her sister for help.
The two then went to the room that their mother had prepared for them to sleep.
As they entered their shared room, Ayano couldn’t resist taking another jab at Seda. “So, Seda, how’s your boyfriend? Are you two already holding hands?” she asked, with a smirk on her face.
Seda rolled her eyes, already tired of her sister’s teasing. “We’ve been beyond that for a while, dear sister,” she said with a hint of sarcasm. “He’s already kissed me on the mouth.” Seda made sure to emphasize the location of the kiss, just to rub it in Ayano’s face.
As Seda revealed her relationship status, Ayano couldn’t help but be surprised.
“What do you mean, my little sister is ahead of me? I won’t accept that,” Ayano thought to herself, feeling a pang of jealousy.
Noticing Ayano’s discomfort, Seda saw an opportunity to continue her teasing, “And how about you, dear sister? Have you kissed your boyfriend yet?”
Ayano flushed with anger, unable to come up with a witty retort.
If she let Seda get the upper hand, Ayano would never hear the end of it.
Ayano was seething with anger, feeling humiliated by her younger sister’s teasing. She had always prided herself on being the most desirable and successful of her sisters, and now she felt like Seda was stealing her thunder.
As she tried to come up with a witty comeback, Ayano’s mind went blank. She couldn’t think of anything to say that would make Seda look foolish or knock her down a peg.
The truth was, Ayano was not nearly as experienced with boys as she liked to pretend. She had only had a few brief flings and was still quite awkward and nervous when it came to physical intimacy.
So when Seda asked about Ayano’s own romantic adventures, she felt her face flush with embarrassment. She knew that Seda was trying to get a rise out of her and make her look foolish, but Ayano couldn’t think of anything to say in response.
Desperate to save face, Ayano blurted out the first thing that came to mind. “We reached that stage a while ago,” she said, hoping to sound more confident than she felt.
But the truth was, Ayano had never actually kissed her boyfriend. Every time they got close, she would panic and pull away, too afraid to take the next step. So when Seda asked her what she thought of the kiss, Ayano had to think quickly. “It was great,” she lied, hoping that Seda wouldn’t see through her deception.
Seda, noticing that Ayano was becoming more and more embarrassed, couldn’t resist provoking her a little further, “As your younger sister, I wanted to ask for your advice since you’re more experienced. I’m thinking of going on a second date with Adriel, and I’m considering taking things to the next level, if you know what I mean.”
“Of course, I understand,” Ayano lied, not having a clue what Seda was talking about, but unwilling to admit it and lose face as the older sister.
“I was thinking of taking him to the park first,” Seda teased, “but then maybe we’ll just end up alone in a hotel room.”
“And then?” Ayano asked, her face turning even redder.
Despite her controlling and aggressive personality, Ayano was actually quite shy when it came to her relationship with her boyfriend.
“And then, I’ll become a complete woman,” Seda concluded with a smirk.
“It’s still too early for that,” Ayano stammered, feeling incredibly uncomfortable.
“I‘m just kidding, dear sister,” Seda started to laugh.
Realizing that Ayano was already as red as a tomato, Seda decided to stop teasing her and let her off the hook.
Seda had her share of teasing Ayano back in the day, “I didn’t know you were so shy?”
Ayano gritted her teeth, determined not to let her younger sister get the best of her. “I’m not shy,” she retorted.
Ayano glared at her sister, feeling her anger rising. She needed to find a way to turn the tables on Seda and fast.
