Chapter 02: Conversation Among S-Class Beauties

The day after Haruya helped the girl. 

Some girls in his class were currently chatting excitedly.

“Hey, Yunarin, is it true that you got another confession? This time from the soccer team captain?”

“Yeah, but I rejected him.”

“Ehh? Why?”

“I don’t know, he was too obvious about his intentions…”

Yuna Takamori, or “Yuna-rin” as her friends called her, answered with a lazy tone, flicking her long black hair that reached her waist.

“Oh, really? But don’t you think it’s a shame? Yuna-rin and Sara-chan, don’t you want to have boyfriends?”

Rin Kohinata, who loved gossiping about romance, asked them with a pout on her cherry-colored lips. She shook her pink hair that was cut to her shoulders.

“Well, forget about me and what happened earlier, but what about Sara?”

“…Huh? M-me?”

Sara Himekawa, with her distinctive blonde hair and amber eyes, and a bit of a clumsy personality, got flustered when Yuna turned to her with such a question.

“But Sara-chan is not used to being around boys because she came from an all-girls school, right?”

Sara was being pressured with questions from both Rin and Yuna. Yuna didn’t seem particularly eager to hear the answer, but Rin leaned forward with excitement.

“I mean, it’s not like I have a crush on any guy or anything…”

Sara pursed her lips and fidgeted with her finger, avoiding eye contact. She thought she was acting casual, but her reaction was too obvious. So Rin, who loved gossiping about romance, couldn’t help asking:

“Really? Are you sure you don’t like someone, Sara-chan!?”

“I can’t believe it… Sara, of all people…”

Both Rin and Yuna were stunned, with their eyes wide open.

“I… I didn’t say anything yet… but,” Sara mumbled, her cheeks turning red. 

But her reaction before was obvious to anyone. She was such a clumsy girl that she couldn’t even hide her feelings.

“Come on, your reaction earlier was already like an answer…”

“Exactly! Sara-chan is so bad at lying, right? So pure and easy to read…” Rin added, saying, “That’s what makes Sara-chan so adorable.”

Realizing that she had been seen through by the two, Sara had nowhere to run. She opened her mouth, feeling embarrassed.

“W-well, it happened yesterday…” 

“That’s very recent.”

“Yeah, and then…!” 

Rin urged, barely holding back her excitement.

“I was going to the department store to buy some clothes… but then, a scary guy approached me there.”

“Ugh, what a jerk.”

“Are you okay!?”

Rin and Yuna didn’t need to hear more. They knew what had happened. Sara had been harassed. They had gone through similar things themselves, so they could empathize with Sara’s situation.

“He was quite persistent, and… we were in a secluded area where nobody could see us, and so I couldn’t call for help…”

“What a nasty guy… doesn’t he have any shame?”

“Sara-chan, that must have been scary.”

As the conversation turned darker, Rin and Yuna looked at Sara with worry.

“But then, when I was in trouble, a handsome guy came and chased away that creep for me…” 

Sara said, covering her mouth with both hands and blushing. It goes without saying that she was thinking back to yesterday’s events.

“What’s that… like something out of a shoujo manga.”

“Awww, how sweet.”

It’s something that every girl dreams of at least once. That a handsome boy will protect her from a frivolous guy. 

Seeing Sara, who has turned red with embarrassment, Rin exclaimed enviously.

“Besides… he was so angry that he was shaking. I could tell he wanted to protect me. He was also very nice afterwards… He was really amazing.”

Sara became talkative and entered maiden mode.

Her appearance was like a love-struck maiden itself. Rin and Yuna were surprised because it was a story beyond their imagination.

“I think so too, I hope it works out for you.”
