The Guy Who Messed Up Is Gradually Doing His Best - Chapter 7
“Gouda-sama, is there anything that concerns you?”
“No, it’s okay.”
Now that the construction is finished, I was doing the final check inside the house with Nohara-san.
Ten days. In just ten days, my home was beautifully restored. I think Nohara Construction really put in a lot of effort.
Even though I didn’t ask for it, they are cleaning the dirt off the exterior walls and even disposing of the small stones I had piled up in the garden.
“Well then, please sign here.”
“Yes.”
As per the work details, since there were no mistakes, I should sign. The land and building of this house are in my name. In other words, I am the owner of this land and building. Therefore, I will sign. It’s only natural since I am the only one living here now.
This is because I am using the subsidy provided by the government to make the purchase, but I believe the rule is that boys must use it between the ages of 10 and 11.
This is one of the measures unique to this world with a low male population, aimed at preventing men from leaving for foreign countries.
Additionally, in this world, due to the scarcity of men, one is considered an adult at the age of 16.
In other words, I messed up and got removed from my mother’s family register, but since I was treated as an adult at 16, there’s no problem.
Well, it’s just a legal matter, and it’s not something you hear about in families with regular men, so it’s probably a rare case.
But the original purpose (as a nation) is stronger in the sense of encouraging polygamy, so get married more and have lots of children.
“Is the billed amount zero yen…?”
It’s not that I didn’t trust her, but it’s a corporation, right? Isn’t charity work not allowed? She had no profit for the company at all, and she was employing 20 people, right? I’m more worried about it than she is.
“That’s not a problem at all. Our company has been working with that intention from the very beginning.
But, is that really true? What Gouda-sama was tweeting about it on Twitter…”
“Ah, that happened by chance, but now that it’s decided, I’ll do my best to meet everyone’s expectations. By the way, Nohara-san, you were following my tweets, right? Thank you.”
“Of course! So, um, would it be possible for you to appear in our company’s commercial video?”
“Of course. But is it really okay with you?”
“Gouda-sama is the best!”
Nohara-san’s face is close.
“I-I see. Thank you very much. Ahaha.”
I was really taken aback.
Oh, right, I deleted my netTube account exactly as I declared a week later.
In the end, the number of subscribers increased to 5 million, and I couldn’t believe my eyes, but the same happened with Twitter, and despite what had happened (even though it was my own fault), I once again thought that the women in this world are kind.
But you know, I still wanted to draw the line, so I deleted my netTube account while apologizing to everyone in my heart.
Next, while I was trying to delete my Twitter account, a package arrived.
The delivery person kept pressing the intercom, so I wondered what was going on, and it turned out the delivery person was panting heavily.
And then, even though I was urged to unpack it immediately, the sender was someone named Saijou Akane-san, a person I didn’t know.
Even though I found it strange, the delivery person was so desperate that I opened it on the spot, and it was filled with notebooks.
I wondered what it was and started flipping through it, and it turned out to be a stack of petitions asking not to delete the account. Just by flipping through it, I could see that it was densely filled, so I could tell there were quite a few.
This might be more than the number of people registered on my account. Oh, there are some with the same handwriting, so maybe some people are using their family’s names to write?
Even so, I thought it would be rude to ignore such a large number of signatures, so I tweeted my thanks, and the flood of DMs only increased, making me laugh out loud. Everyone is so kind.
Even though I explained it was a matter of principle, everyone had a hard time accepting it. In the end, I decided not to stream myself, but I somehow got them to agree to the idea of me joining their channels if they invited me.
If a man appears, the view count will increase a bit. If I can help a struggling streamer, that would be my greatest wish.
At the very least, there’s a possibility that everyone who subscribed to me will watch it.
To accept the request, I had no choice but to keep the Twitter account. Since it was a story I wanted to start on my own timing, I thought it would be fine to start with the Nohara Construction, who had been helpful to me from the beginning.
