The Sky Dragon brought by the bandits was cowering in fear, too terrified even to attempt flying away. It was understandable.

The five heroines could surpass even me, the Great Demon King. A mere dragon didn’t stand a chance against them.

I had been naive, assuming they wouldn’t kill their kind, and this led to my plans of using the dragon for escape to be dashed in an instant.

“Well, shall we finish off that dragon too? I already have the title of Dragon Slayer, but it’s in the way.”

“GRUUUU!?”

As Shini coldly announced her intention to slay the trembling dragon and raised her sword…

“Wait!”

“…Jar-kun?”

“Can’t we show some mercy to this creature?”

“…Huh?”

I had stopped Shini. 

The orb allowed this, interpreting my plea as non-rebellious.

“This creature, like us, was captured against its will, bought, and forced to obey. The female bandits are one thing, but… as a fellow demon, I can’t bear to see it killed.”

My words weren’t entirely false, but part of me wanted to keep the dragon close for future possibilities, though it was a long shot.

“Uh, uh… sniff…”

“Eh!?”

Why was Shini crying? Suddenly, her eyes welled up with tears…

“Jar-kun… you… you’re such a person…”

“Jar-kun is so kind!”

“I thought this was just a pest trying to wreck our love nest… but yeah, yeah!”

“We won’t do anything to make Jar-kun sad.”

And just like that, the others began to cry, embracing me…

“Jar-kun! You’re so kind! You’re a king with a gentle heart! My boyfriend cares even for bugs and animals; I’m so moved! Yes, let’s save it! Let’s take care of it together!”

“Jar-kun, I love you so much♥ And this Sky Dragon… let’s call it Suu-chan!”

“Seriously… a handsome and kind boyfriend like you, I’m so lucky. Suu-chan, be a good boy, okay? If you misbehave or don’t listen, you’ll get a knuckle sandwich, understand?”

“Suu-chan, play with our kids when we have them.”

The heroines joyfully addressed the Sky Dragon, now dubbed Suu.

“Gaugarugaugauga!”

“What a good boy♪”

Having some level of intelligence, Suu understood human language and frantically nodded in agreement, but in dragon speak…

“I’m so scared. These sisters are terrifying!”

The dignity of the proud dragon was nowhere to be seen. 

But then, an opportunity arose.

“Hey, there’s a demon or monster in that mansion!”

“Look, there’s a huge… what is that?”

“A dragon is there!”

“Demons are controlling the young ladies who moved into that empty house!”

“We have to help them!”

“Dammit, women of the village, hold your weapons!”

Some bandits who escaped must have raised the alarm in the village. Now, people from nearby villages were gathering.

“Looks like it’s going to be quite a commotion. What should we do?”

“Indeed… And we need to deal with these pests causing us trouble…”

This was my chance! 

“…Huh? …Wait, where’s Jar-kun?”

As the heroines focused on the villagers rushing toward the mansion, reacting to the chaos caused by the bandits’ distress, a perfect opportunity presented itself.

“…… Eh? Wh-!?”

I couldn’t rebel or harm myself, but I could move.

Fortunately, they hadn’t commanded me not to leave the premises.

“Jar-kun…”

I was able to escape.

“What are you doing, I wonder? …You won’t get away, okay?”
