Sea at Sea

“…I had it looked into, and it turns out a lot of it is true. Whether or not you forgive them is up to you, but would you be willing to meet them?”

“…That was just a few days ago, right? How did you investigate so quickly?”

“…It’s actually the detective I had look into your background, Aoi-kun. He’s super talented… or rather, exceptional…”

“…I see.”

“That wasn’t an order. I was just asking. If you don’t want to meet them, that’s totally fine. It’s just… I’ve been watching you suffer every night. So…”

“…I get it. Thanks. But… I don’t think I want to meet them.”

“I see. Got it. If you ever change your mind, let me know.”

“Yeah. Thanks.”

Somewhere deep inside, I couldn’t fully sympathize with my sisters’ suffering. After all the torment they put me through, a part of me couldn’t help but feel a bit of satisfaction at their plight.

“…” 

“Sorry for bringing it up. It must have made you feel bad.”

“No, it’s not that. If anything, I’m the one who should apologize. Always.”

“…If you think that, you could lean on me a bit more, you know?”

“…I think I’m already leaning on you enough, though?”

“More! I want hugs, cuddles, kisses—stuff like that!”

“That’s a bit too much for me.”

“Come on, just a bit more!”

“…I’ll think about it, maybe in a little while.”

“Really? Yay!” she exclaimed, running around the room like a child.

“Be careful,” I said, trying to speak as if I were talking to a small child.

“I’m fine! I’m fine!” she sang happily, humming a tune as she continued to run around joyfully.

And so, another peaceful day passed.

◇Day 15 of Summer Vacation

“The sea!!!”

“Yeah, it is.”

“…Haha, it’s the sea…,” Umi-chan said, her face still red.

“It’s practically a weapon. I think it’s strong enough to kill someone,” 

“…True,” Kiyohito agreed.

“I didn’t think Marin-chan would come too! And Chisato as well.”

“What’s with the ‘also-ran’ feeling? Aren’t there only two boys, Kiyohito and Yamaguchi? Isn’t that too few?” Chisato twirled her blonde hair as she spoke.

“…Originally, this was supposed to be a trip with our school group, but Chisato insisted on joining,” Kiyohito explained.

“Oh, is that so? I didn’t know,” she said nonchalantly.

“Well, the two of us might be overwhelmed by these three girls.”

“…That might be the case.”

“Hey, how do I look in my swimsuit?”

“Looks good, I guess,” I said, averting my eyes.

“Really?”

“Hey, Marin, your husband might get mad.”

“Oh, it’s fine! My husband is kind.”

“…If only they weren’t married…”

As we were talking, Umi-chan grabbed my arm.

“What’s wrong?”

“I… need to go to the bathroom… Where is it?”

“…Oh, um, I think it’s over there. Do you know the way?”

She shook her head.

“…Alright. I’ll show you,” I said, leading her to the bathroom.

When we arrived at the bathroom, Umi-chan pulled me inside.

“Wait, what?!”

“Oh, you can’t be here. This is the girls’ bathroom.”

“Yeah, I know. I’ll leave. ” I tried to leave, but she pressed my arm between her breasts.

“Nope,” she said with a mischievous smile.

It’s that mode… 

She pushed me into a stall.

“Have you ever seen a girl do it?”

“Of course not!!”

“Try not to make too much noise, okay?”

Facing the door, I closed my eyes and covered my ears.

Taking advantage of my preoccupied hands, she started tracing her fingers along my back.

“Oi!!” Instinctively, I moved my hands away from my ears.

“Seems like you’re pretty sensitive,” she said, accompanied by the sound of water.

I hurriedly covered my ears again.

“…Hmm?”

This time, I felt something against my side.

“What the?!” I looked down to see Umi-chan biting my side softly.

“Tasty.”

“!!”

“Unless you firmly reject me, I won’t give up, you know.”
