When Alphonse returned to his usual inn, he was shocked to find his room completely cleared out.

The empty space smelled of dusty wood shavings, and a cold draft blew through.

“Eeeeh!?”

“Why is this happening?”

“I don’t know.”

“It smells like trouble.”

Mako muttered in Alphonse’s head. Alphonse slumped in disappointment. 

With no choice, he turned to rent another room, but then it happened.

“This is terrible. What a problem.”

“Eek!”

“Y-You’re here?!”

The receptionist, Cecily, appeared from behind him as if out of nowhere.

Her sweet perfume was overwhelming, and the heat emanating from her presence made Alphonse and Mako recoil, as if they had just seen a ghost.

“How do you know about this?!”

“I have good news for you! The guild has prepared rooms for high-ranking adventurers!”

“Eh, really?”

Cecily leaned forward with her cheeks flushed.

“Yes. And it’s free, would you like to use it?”

“Wait, Alphonse. This woman knew you were left without a place to stay. There’s got to be something suspicious!”

Mako warned. Cecily puffed her cheeks and clicked her tongue at Mako’s comment.

“Tch! You had to say that.”

“I’ll try somewhere else.”

“That’s impossible. You’re banned from this inn, Alphonse-san.”

At Cecily’s merciless announcement, Alphonse felt like he was about to collapse to his knees.

“Banned? Why?”

“Because you make too much noise.”

“Aah.”

Alphonse groaned as he remembered all the noisy and naughty trouble his hero party had caused at night, the moaning, the crashing, and the chaos.

He closed his eyes and sighed upon realizing everything.

“I’m sorry about that.”

“It’s not your fault, Mako-san.”

While the two of them were quietly bonding in their heads, Cecily grinned stickily, like she wouldn’t let go.

With eyes full of wild desire, she blocked their escape.

“Shall we go then? To the ‘love nest,’ I mean, the guild house.”

“Don’t you mean spider’s web!?”

Alphonse and Mako both shouted in their heads at the same time, as they were led off to the house of horrors.
