“Haa~h, well, please do your best by your limited means. Well then.”

I start walking in the direction of my house.

“Come to think of it, what event will Karen participate in today’s sports festival?”

“Me? Volleyball, I think.”

“I see. Good luck then~.”

“yes”

“If Karen wins, I’ll do anything you ask from me.”

“Re–Really?”

“Un. Since Karen worked hard enough to win, wouldn’t it be fair and nice to ask for a reward?”

“Really? You won’t go back on it, right?”

“Even if you ask me continuously that many times… Well, even if you don’t necessarily win, I plan on rewarding you with something.”

“Understood, then I’ll give my best.”

I don’t know why but Karen seems to be burning with a passion I never saw before.

“Uh, un. See you later at home then.”

“yes”

After saying that, I separated from Karen at the usual place and went to my school alone.

When I entered the classroom, as no one had classes today, the ambiance was filled with a sense of openness.

“Sakura, good morning. Let’s win the soccer sports festive championship together.”

“Un. Let’s do our best.”

I quickly changed clothes to the respective ones and went straight to the ground.

As there were quite a few boys from other classes and grades lined up there, thus, we both lined up in a hurry.

Since the girls are going to have the opening ceremony at the gymnasium, they were not present here.

After meticulously doing warm-up exercises, they went to their respective competition locations.

Looking at the opposing team in the first round, it was the same team I played in physical education class a week ago.

However,

Come to think of it, I wonder where the person who made me fall during that match was?

Even though it’s the big day today.

Did he catch a cold or something?

While thinking about such things, the first round started with the teacher’s whistle.

Kisaragi and I worked together to sneak through the opponent’s defense and score a point.

However, the opponents became even more vigilant in their defense, and it was difficult to score more points. Hence, the match ended, and we managed to win by a margin of 1-0.

“That was dangerous.”

“Truly. Alright, next time, let’s try and win by a bigger margin.”

“Surely enough.”

And thus, we continued winning throughout the morning and finished with clean sweep victories.

As for our class in general, in baseball, we managed to advance to the second round but lost in the third. While the Volleyball team seems to have lost in the first round against Sakuragi-san’s class.

Only soccer and women’s table tennis were left on board.

Let’s do our best in the afternoon and aim for the champions!!

I was indeed enthusiastic about that, but…

“They are just too strong, though.”

“This is definitely a cheat.”

As our opponent in this round, some soccer club members were especially good at it. And even had a certain amount of fan following dedicated to them. Thus, eventually, we got outnumbered and then lost.

“At least, I wanted to go till the finals.”

“I agree.”

It was very frustrating, but I think we did our best given we don’t have any members playing soccer professionally in our team.

“Sakura, let’s go watch the girls’ volleyball together. Apparently, there’s the class with Karen-chan still fighting. And also the class with Sakuragi Kaede too.”

“Okay, let’s go.”

To think both Sakuragi-san and Karen’s class were still there fighting.

Thinking that, when I arrived at the gymnasium, Sakuragi-san’s class had just won and had made their way to the final.

And their opponent was to be the class with Karen in it.

I wonder which one would win?
