*SPOILER TITLE* The Disengage Skill "Evade" Turns Into a "Wall Clip Bug" Under Specific Conditions! When I Clipped Through the Dungeon Wall, I Was Able To Collect An Infinite Amount of First-Time Clear Rewards and So My Stats Skyrocketed! - Chapter 6
Chapter 6: Theory Testing
The next day had already come and I couldn’t decide on what to do.
I didn’t feel any urgency since I had some money left over from yesterday, but if I only spent and didn’t earn, all that money would run out. I needed to come up with a plan before that happened.
“First things first, I need to figure out how I clipped through that wall. That’s the most important thing right now.”
If I wanted to make some money fast, I could try dungeon diving again to look for more treasure chests, but if I wanted a more long-term source of income, I needed to figure out how I clipped through that wall.
Being able to clip through walls on command would be a tremendous tool for me, but I couldn’t really think of many ways to use that knowledge to my advantage.
“Let’s try it on the walls at home first.”
The walls in my home were much thinner than the walls of a dungeon, so I figured they’d be easier to clip through.
“<Evade>.”
I said, but nothing happened.
Of course, I didn’t expect it to work on the first try. If it were that easy, I would have stumbled upon its usage much earlier.
I thought back to that time I had wall-clipped. At the time, I had used <Evade> when the monster had knocked my body toward the wall. Maybe it would work if I used <Evade> with my back to the wall.
“<Evade>.”
… nothing happened.
It seemed like the walls of the house weren’t enough. It was time to head to the dungeon.

“Maybe I should take a look at <Evade> again…”
I brought up my Status screen while enroute to the dungeon.
◇◇◇◇◇◇
<Evade>
You can dodge enemy attacks by temporarily accelerating your body.
◇◇◇◇◇◇
I took a look at the section that <Evade> was under. It was just as I had remembered with absolutely zero reference to any walls or the like. So then how exactly did it happen?
Maybe the wall had a hidden interaction with <Evade>? But <Evade> only worked when you were attacked by an enemy. Even though the Werewolf had blasted me toward the wall, the wall itself wasn’t an enemy, so there was no reason for <Evade> to activate.
Furthermore, even if the wall was somehow perceived as an enemy attack, the only effect <Evade> would have would be to make my body move faster. So then why did I phase through that wall?
“Hmm, I guess there’s no point thinking about it too much…”
No matter how much I thought about it, I’d never arrive at an answer.
“I guess it’d be better to try out different theories.”
Thinking that my chances of success would be higher if I were under the same conditions, I headed toward Fassil Dungeon as I had done yesterday.
I tried to use <Evade> as soon as I entered.
“<Evade>.”
I chanted while facing the wall, but nothing happened. I tried it again with my back facing the wall like I had done at home, but still nothing happened.
What was the difference between yesterday and today?
I brought up the details of what had happened yesterday.
“The Werewolf swung his claws at me as hard as it could, but I was able to block the strike with my knife for a split second before the knife shattered. Its arms kept going and struck me, sending my body flying toward the wall. Right before I hit the wall, I used <Evade>, and that was when I flew right through the wall.”
I spoke the details out loud as I went over them in my head.
“If I used <Evade> while jumping backwards, would it work?”
It was a theory I was willing to test.
I stood with my back to the dungeon wall.
“Okay.”
I jumped backwards as hard as I could.
“<Evade>!”
I shouted, but nothing happened and my butt slammed into the wall. I looked like a fool to anyone who could have been watching.
“Maybe I didn’t go fast enough.”
I figured that it wasn’t related to moving backwards, but to the speed at which I was moving.
I put some distance between the wall and me, and then…
“OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
I started sprinting toward the wall as fast as I could. I grew more and more afraid as the wall drew closer, but I could not stop.
“<EVADE>!”
I activated the skill just as I hit the wall.
*THUMP*
A loud impact resounded from the wall.
The skill had never activated.
More than that, everything hurt like hell! I had hit the wall while running at my top speed afterall.
I squirmed around on the ground until the pain faded away.
“It might not trigger unless the conditions are identical to yesterday’s…”
Identical, as in, getting blasted across the room by a Werewolf and using <Evade> right before impact with the wall.
But the risks were too great. If I failed, I was very likely to die, and even if I succeeded, I wouldn’t receive anything since I had already gotten my first-clear reward.
“But that doesn’t mean I can’t at least try it…”
For someone like me who was despised and belittled as an incompetent and useless person, this was my only hope.
It was the only way I could protect my sister.
