*SPOILER TITLE* The Disengage Skill "Evade" Turns Into a "Wall Clip Bug" Under Specific Conditions! When I Clipped Through the Dungeon Wall, I Was Able To Collect An Infinite Amount of First-Time Clear Rewards and So My Stats Skyrocketed! - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: Clear Reward
“W-what just happened?”
I was confused. I took a look around at my surroundings and immediately recognized where I was.
This was the room you entered after defeating the dungeon boss and was otherwise known as the reward room.
Another indicator that this was the reward room was the teleporter zone marked on the floor. By stepping into the teleport zone, you would be teleported out of the dungeon.
And―
“There’s a treasure chest…”
On the floor sat a treasure chest that you would normally only be allowed to access after defeating the boss monster.
As for me, I just happened to slip through the wall and didn’t even fight the boss, but that was no reason to not open the chest so I immediately went ahead and opened it.
“Whoa, a sword!”
I found a sword inside the chest and decided to check its Status.

<Commencement Sword>
Increases Attack Power by 100
◇◇◇◇◇◇
(TN: Commencement Sword is 旅立ちの剣 which directly translates to ‘the sword of departure’, like when you’re about to set out on a journey. The reason why I changed ‘departure’ to ‘commencement’ is so that it’s clearer this is a sword for beginning adventurers. Sword of Departure almost sounds morbid, like someone died or something.)
An increase of 100 Attack Power was not bad by any means, but you needed to possess the <Sword Mastery> skill in order to actually receive the 100 points. Since I didn’t have <Sword Mastery>, this was nothing more than a heavy stick.
However, I didn’t feel too beat-up over it since I could still sell the sword for money. With the money I’d get from selling this sword, it’d be more than enough to pay for today’s dinner.
“To think that it’s possible to clip through a wall…”
I said while looking over my body that had just clipped through. Why was I able to clip through the wall using my <Evade> skill? I tried to think of various different theories but gave up.
◆
“Um, can I cash this in?”
After I’d exited the dungeon through the teleporter, I hurriedly made my way over to the exchange. Of course, I was trying to cash in the Commencement Sword.
“Sure thing, the total comes out to 30,000 yels.”
“Huh?”
I couldn’t help but let out a surprised yelp as a large bag of coins landed on the counter.
“Is there an issue?”
The old man asked while glaring at me.
“Sorry, it’s the opposite actually, I didn’t expect to earn so much…”
I tried to explain, but the old man’s scowl intimidated me and my voice trailed off into a whisper.
“Oh okay, I see…”
Fortunately, he seemed to have understood what I was trying to say, and his facial expression softened.
“The Commencement Sword is the reward you get for clearing the Fassil Dungeon for the first time, so every adventurer can only get it once which adds to its value. On top of that, despite its somewhat low durability, its stats are really good and is a very reliable sword.”
“Oh, I see! Thank you very much!”
Seeing how this old man took the time to give me this explanation, I bowed my head while thinking that he was a very kind man despite his terrifying face.
So it was the first clear reward. I had heard of it before, but because I had never cleared a dungeon, I’d forgotten about it.
With money in hand, I went to go buy some essential supplies.
First things first, I went to buy a recovery potion for my sister alongside some healing medicine for my injured left arm. Afterwards, I went and bought some food and a new knife. I couldn’t splurge since my means of income was too limited.
“I’m home.”
I had come home.
My sister, Eleleth, was still lying in bed, sleeping.
“Big brother made a lot of money today, unlike usual.”
I spoke to her but she didn’t respond.
I fed her the recovery potion since she couldn’t eat, but she still didn’t wake up.
I looked at my sister’s face. Unlike my dull, beige-colored hair, my sister had shiny, golden hair. Her skin was as white as snow, probably because she had been indoors for so long. Even from just the side, I thought that my sister was incredibly beautiful.
“What do I have to do to wake up my sister?”
I had once asked a sorcerer who excelled at healing magic. It was a request I had asked of the sorcerer after selling all of the things that my dad had left behind. Even with that, however, my sister couldn’t wake up.
The sorcerer told me that if my sister were to keep staying in bed, she would eventually die. Feeding her a recovery potion every day would extend her life, but even doing that had its limits.
I had begged the sorcerer to cure her, but he told me that maybe the Philosopher’s Stone, a cure-all elixir, would be able to wake her up, but the Philosopher’s Stone wasn’t a common thing that anyone could get.
That’s why I needed to continue as an adventurer.
I had to become an adventurer capable of earning enough money to feed my sister a healing potion every day, then I would strive to become a great adventurer that could someday find a Philosopher’s Stone.
