*SPOILER TITLE* The Disengage Skill "Evade" Turns Into a "Wall Clip Bug" Under Specific Conditions! When I Clipped Through the Dungeon Wall, I Was Able To Collect An Infinite Amount of First-Time Clear Rewards and So My Stats Skyrocketed! - Chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Boy in Despair
I went home cradling my left arm. I didn’t have any medicine that could help it heal, so I wrapped a rag around it as some basic first aid.
“Eleleth… I’m really sorry.”
I cried while apologizing to my sister, the only family I had left.
“I’ve been kicked out of the party. I won’t be able to make any more money…”
I couldn’t think of any employer that would hire me given that I was underage and had no relatives. The only way for me to earn money was by being an adventurer, but the only party that would take me in had kicked me out.
“I swore I’d support you with the money I earned…”
I sobbed to my sister, but never once did she reply.
She was comatose.
Up until a year ago, there were three of us living in this house, my sister, my father, and me. Unfortunately, my dad suddenly passed away. He was an adventurer and had lost his life while trying to conquer a dungeon. It wasn’t a particularly unusual way to go for adventurers.
Ever since then, I had to work in order to earn money despite only being twelve years old and underage. The first thing I did was to go to the temple and receive my Status. It was one of the main things you needed before you could become an adventurer, but my Status ended up being severely lacking.

I couldn’t believe my eyes the first time I saw my own Status. The overall stats were just too low.
Generally speaking, a level 1 would possess 100 points all across the board, but for me, most of them were well below 100. On top of that, my attack power was 10. Everyone agreed that they had never seen a number that low before.
Only my agility was higher than average, but even then, it wasn’t particularly high.
To make matters worse, while most people received three skills on average, I received only one, and it was a particularly bad one: <Evade>.
First of all, anyone could avoid a monster’s attacks simply by moving their body. Having a higher agility value would make it easier to avoid attacks, and so public opinion was that using MP to use <Evade> in order to dodge was nothing more than a waste.
It wasn’t long before my incredibly destitute Status became the talk of the town.
I had no choice but to become an adventurer if I wanted to make end’s meet and the only party that ended up taking me in was led by Guillermo. However, he had only let me in because he thought it’d be entertaining. He harassed me every day, punching and kicking me whenever he felt like it at the slightest slip-up.
He would often use me to bait the monsters, and I had nearly died on many occasions. Even still, I tried my hardest to make a living… until today. Despite everything, he still kicked me out of the party.
Things also took a turn for the worse when my sister fell into a coma. My sister had always been weak and was often asleep, but at some point, she stopped waking up.
Guillermo took most of my earnings and I was left with less than scraps. I became unable to afford enough food for my sister, and that was when she stopped waking up.
◆
I woke up early the next day and visited various adventurer parties, begging them to let me join them, but nobody said yes.
I was told that my Status was too poor, but even on top of that, they were concerned that letting me join would garner unwanted attention from Guillermo.
Guillermo’s party was infamous amongst adventurers. If I were to join, it would guarantee harassment from Guillermo and his goons. As a result, there was no choice but to decline my plea.
In the end, I had no choice but to go solo.
Fassil Dungeon. Its difficulty rating was the lowest of the low, sitting at F rank. However, it held the reputation of being the hardest dungeon in the area, and was a target that newbie adventurers always flocked to.
“Somebody, please help! AHHHHHHHHHH!”
I was in the dungeon, running away in fear.
“Garu!”
A Wolf Kobold was chasing after me.
“Becoming an adventurer is impossible for me after all!”
I yelled, screaming.
Even though this was a beginner’s dungeon, there was no way a level 1 adventurer like me would be able to solo it.
This dungeon was also known as the “newbie killer” and was a graveyard for many careless beginners.
But for my sister’s sake, I need to dive headlong into this dungeon. Or so I thought just mere minutes prior.
A few minutes ago.
“Guruuuuuuu!”
I came face to face with a monster the moment I entered the dungeon. The monster that stood before me was known as the Wolf Kobold and it was a monster that occupied many parts of the Fassil dungeon.
I brandished my knife like an adventurer would. The Wolf Kobold was considered weak, but it was more than capable of killing me if I wasn’t careful.
“GRAWH!”
The Wolf Kobold howled as it leapt at me.
It was okay, this was an attack I could follow. The only thing I had going for me was my 150 agility and the many times I had to dodge attacks while in Guillermo’s party. I was confident I could avoid the attack.
I dodged the Wolf Kobold’s attack with minimal movement, allowing me to spot an opening in the Kobold’s defense. I was glad that my non-dominant arm was the one that had been injured. My left arm had yet to completely heal so I couldn’t properly move it. With my right arm still intact, I mustered all my strength and swung my knife at the Kobold.
Clang!
It sounded as though I had struck a rock with my knife.
“Why didn’t my knife cut through the Kobold?”
I exclaimed at the ridiculous scene in front of me.
Because my attack power was only 10, it was impossible for me to inflict any damage on the Wolf Kobold no matter how much strength I put into my attack.
It was too fatal of a flaw.
It was the same thing that happened to me a year ago after I had first received my Status. I had taken a chance against the Wolf Kobold, hoping for something to have changed, but the results were the same.
I see.
It’s the same as last year.
I’m still just a level 1. There’s no reason for the results to change.
“Grrrr.”
The Wolf Kobold must have thought I had been wounded somehow. It glared at me with a puzzled look on its face.
It wouldn’t matter how many times I attack. With an attack power of 10, I would never be able to wound the monster.
The only way to increase my attack power would be to accumulate experience and raise my level, but experience could only be gained by defeating monsters.
So if I can’t kill monsters, I can’t gain experience.
“Forever level 1.”
This was the nickname that the other adventurers had mocked me with, but they were right. This wasn’t something I could argue against them with.
“I knew I shouldn’t have come to this dungeon, AHHHHHHH!”
I screamed as I turned my back to the Wolf Kobold and ran. I wouldn’t be able to defeat it no matter how hard I tried, so the only thing I could do was to run. The only silver lining is that with my 150 agility, I was able to escape from the Wolf Kobold.
