Well, how should I put it. In short, I got exposed that I am a guy. She didn’t say much and just stood there frozen. I didn’t know what to say either, but I guess, its better to explain the situation.

“Mi-Mirai… Sorry for hiding it. I’m a guy.”

“T-That’s right, right…”

She forced a smile. After that there continued a brief silence, and the person to break that silence was by the maid who worked under her. We were alone in a private room, with the guy, me, who was still in a half-naked state. Needless to say, if we were perceived as a couple, it would most likely lead to a huge misunderstanding as a result.

“U-Um, both of you… If you’re going to do something like that, it might be better if you could close the door beforehand, just saying.”

Saying that, the maid blushed. Maybe it was because of hearing her words, even Mirai blushed harder in response. Just as I was about to hastily deny it, Mirai took my hand, who was almost completely naked. While with her other hand, she grabbed the door handle.

“Sorry, maid-san. We’ll remember to close the door from next time. Well then, we’ll be okay from here on.”

Saying just that, Mirai closed the door. If I denied the situation here, it would completely ruin the setup of us being fellow boyfriend and girlfriend.

As I pondered alone about her actions, Mirai muttered with a hint of embarrassment, in a voice that couldn’t be heard by the maid outside.

“C-Clothes… Hurry up and put them on.”

“I am sorry.”

Obediently following the instructions from her voice, I put on the suits. Just as I finished changing completely, I could hear the voice of the maid from outside the door.

“Sorry to interrupt in between your fun, but I’ve received word that the preparations from the father’s side are complete, asking me to have you get ready and be received.”

With saying those words, the maid walked away with audible footsteps. As she left, Mirai turned back to me with a slightly teary-eyed expression and wrapped her arms around mine.

“Ariann… I — I never ever thought that you were a boy.”

“I’m really sorry.”

“I… I liked you , Ariann, as a fellow friend! I was sure! …there were no romantic feelings behind them.”

She cleared her throat for once. Then, she looked at me with embarrassment and continued.

“B-But, now. Now that I’ve realized you’re a boy, I’ve started to slightly feel my heart thump excitedly.”

“Eh, Ehhh!?”

I exclaimed in surprise with only words of astonishment slipping out from my mouth. While I was still at a loss for words, she continued.

“I’m sorry. It’s not appropriate to see party members in this way. But this… This excitement is probably only because the person I thought was a girl turned out to be a boy in reality.”

“Then, what about this hand?”

“This is just an act, as your girlfriend.”

Saying that, she pressed my hand against her prided chest once again. Feeling that extremely soft and fluffy sensation, I felt a little weirded out, but I swallowed those doubts with my saliva.

“Just a malfunction.”
