The Case Where I Got into an All Girls-only Party via Cross-Dressing. But When They Found Out About it, Instead of Getting Immediately Kicked Out, Everyone Was Trying to Seduce Me. - Chapter 12
Chapter 12
We headed towards the teleporter and made our way to the dungeon of our destination. According to the people working at the teleporter, several parties had already headed there a little while ago.
By the way, depending on the destination, the teleportation can take a bit of time. Also, the teleporter needs to have a clear memory of the place they are going to teleport the people to. Since it’s a place that is frequently used by a lot of adventurers for their quests, we could decided to use the teleporter to get there.
Due to the considerable waiting time, chairs were provided within the teleportation room. This time, it was shaped like a small carriage, with four seats facing each other. I sat beside Elise.
Elise, having heard that several people had already gone ahead, tapped my leg as if saying we must hurry.
“Elise, that hurts.”
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to… It must have hurt quite a bit, right?”
Saying that, she now started stroking my leg instead. Hey hey, that’s in it’s way not good either. When I slowly moved my leg away from Elise, her hands chased after it.
Giving up, I decided to meditate. When I opened my eyes next, the dungeon was right in front of me. It looked a pretty ordinary dungeon. If it was something like this, I had dived into them countless times when I was Ranked in Bronze.
“Let’s do our best on our first Silver-ranked quest. I’ll take the lead. Ariann, follow closely behind me. Mirai, keep shining a light a few meters ahead all the times. When there’s a battle, switch the light to a lamp instead.”
Dungeons are always dark. A lamp is essential. However, the number you can bring along with you is limited due to the amount of baggage you can hold.
Therefore, beginner parties mostly use magic as a substitute. Although there were no instructions for Mea, it’s because she will probably be okay with acting freely. Probably because, she can judge the best course of action by herself.
We descended the long staircase typical of dungeons. At the bottom, it became the first floor. Tension enveloped our bodies. However, there was no fear in us yet. It was mostly the same monsters when we were a Bronze party, like Bats, Goblins, and Imps. Only early-stage monsters.
“These are quite mediocre drop items. If it’s these, they won’t add into much all in all.”
Saying that, Elise searched the bodies of dead Goblins with a stick. I was a bit tense because she said it was a Silver quest, but it seems it wasn’t that big of a deal at all.
“Let’s go faster! It’s enough with looting corpses. If Elise doesn’t move forward, we won’t make any progress, wouldn’t we?”
“Quite right, let’s move on.”
We left the corpse looting behind and moved forward. But somehow Kayla had warned me about it. Right after we reported reaching Silver rank. What did she say again? I can’t remember, but there must have been something I needed to be careful about.
While still unable to remember, we reached the fourth floor. According to the information beforehand, the boss battle is on the fifth floor. There’s an implicit agreement that only one party can enter for the boss battle. This was to prevent stealing the prey, but also because the entrance often closes up at the same time.
To open it, the boss must be defeated, or all party members must be defeated.
“Come to think of it, what happened to the parties that went ahead of us?”
“I wonder, they’ve probably reached the fifth floor by now already?”
Mirai worries about the party that went ahead. There’s no need for cooperation in dungeons. It’s something adventurers are always told when they become adventurers. Protect your own self by yourself. That’s true, but as fellow human beings, we can’t help but worry about other parties well being as well.
As we searched for the stairs to descend to the fifth floor, we heard a painful groan. A groan not from a monster’s death throes, but a human’s instead.
“Uwaaah!!”
A high-pitched voice echoed in the dungeon. It was a woman’s voice. We ran before we could make a decision in our heads. As we ran towards the source of the voice, the ground was already stained with blood.
“This is…”
I could hear Mea mutter from behind. They were probably a party of two women. Moreover, one of them’s face is so beaten that her face was unrecognizable. You can only see bits of her blonde hair left. But ironically, her body seems to be left intact, and goblins had swarmed around her like that, swinging their hips back and forth. It was such a situation that, I, even as a man, wouldn’t want to describe it.
In case of the other woman, her one leg had been severed, and she was slowly backing away from them. The scream just now must have been hers. However, her weapon is probably a staff lying somewhere far away. She must be a magician. As for the other woman, her role still remains unknown.
“We-we got to help…”
Mea mutters. Perhaps she can’t find the right words after seeing the scene in front of her. She’s gripping the staff tightly. She’s probably using it to support her trembling legs.
“Not yet, something’s fishy.”
Even when we, humans, are in front of them, they’re not attacking us who should be their prey. Is such a thing even possible?
“Ariann!! I’ll go. If they’re only goblins, once they’re within my range, I can kill them. I can’t forgive how they’re treating a women like that.”
Elise shouts, burning with anger.
That’s no good, she’s not thinking rationally. Now I remember, what Kayla talked about. She was mentioning the difference between a Bronze and Silver level dungeon. That the “intelligence of monsters” dramatically increased as well.
“The vanguard that they absolutely must had was not present there. This is a sure shot trap set by those goblins.”
What am I doing? Am I useless? It’s sickening for a man like me. It must be even worse for Elise, who is a fellow girl, the fact that a girl was being violated in front of her. If she were to witness a scene like that…
When I looked sideways, she was no longer there. She had already taken a step forward.
“This IDIOT!!”
As I shouted, I followed after Elise. Her sword was about to pierce a goblin.
Can she make it? The moment I thought that, the ground collapsed. Elise and I were immediately sucked down to the floor lower.
As I fell, all I could see was that the woman with one leg severed was “smiling.” It couldn’t be described as anything other than a monster disguising itself as a human.
“Stay alive, we’ll definitely be back!”
I shouted as we fell, but I don’t know if that reached the two of them. It seems we underestimated, this dungeon.
