The Case Where I Got into an All Girls-only Party via Cross-Dressing. But When They Found Out About it, Instead of Getting Immediately Kicked Out, Everyone Was Trying to Seduce Me. - Chapter 11
Chapter 11
After Keera’s “take care on your way”, I left the house and headed towards the guild where everyone were waiting. Along the way, I got followed up by a suspicious person, but when I gave a disdainful look towards his crotch, he stopped moving altogether.
I opened the slightly heavy door of the guild. It made a small dull sound, causing the people inside to turn towards me. Their faces looked scary, but thinking of them as soldiers and adventurers protecting the town, their face, and even scars look cool instead.
As I looked around nervously, a cute magician came running towards me from front.
“Ariaaan~! Everyone’s already gathered. You’re the last one, Ariann.”
“Good morning, Mea. Are we going to explore the new dungeon today? The one with awesome rewards.”
“Yeap, that’s right! And look at Elise, she got blinded by the money and was eager to sign us in already. Since she started thinking about buying a house, she seems even more obsessed with money.”
As we were enjoying such conversation, Elise, holding an application form, appeared in front of me. The edge of the paper looked crumpled, I guess it’s probably because she squeezed it tightly, that’s why.
“Let’s go already. It seems the boss apparently only spawns once a month. If we defeat it, we’ll get 2 gold coins. Although, it’s far from the 100 coins we need. …And much of it disappears into living expenses as well, sigh…”
As Elise said that and counted them on her fingers, Mea, went and interrupted her with different numbers to annoy her. They seem so childish, or so I thought, but getting 2 gold coins for dungeon conquest… Isn’t that a bit too much? The market value is about 20 silver coins. 0.02 gold coins seems more reasonable. It somehow feels suspicious…
“Elise, about this, is this really okay for us to accept this?”
“Is it about the level feels difficult, I think?”
“Rather, the reward seems unreasonably high.”
When I urged Elise to be cautious, she looked at the recruitment form again.
“It says Silver Rank or higher party members can application form. It’s a new one that popped in, so they don’t know it’s level yet. The previous party that took a quest like this went to the capital and cleared it immediately.”
“It sounds easy, but remember, that party is now Gold Rank, so there’s a difference in skill compared to us.”
I can’t really recommend this quest. The precedent is too bad. If it was something cleared by a Silver-ranked party, which we recently ascended to, I’d accept it immediately.
But, to think it’s difficulty looks hard to assess.
“But if we take our time with this, another party might snatch this quest from us you know? Well, if I’m there, it’s a piece of cake with my magic.”
“If anything happens, I can always provide healing from the rear, and if our rear is solid, there’s no way our party can be defeated as well.”
That’s true. If there’s me and Elise in the front, we won’t break that easily as well. Rather, I’ve never felt like we were going to lose in any previous battle.
“Well then, shall we accept it then? Elise, could you please go and apply for it?”
“Got it!”
With a delighted expression, she ran towards the counter. As I watched her run back with resounding footsteps, Mirai spoke to me in a voice that wouldn’t be heard by anyone else around.
“2 gold coins is pretty amazing, right?”
“I do think it’s amazing?”
“Right~.”
Mirai smiled at me. Hey, what’s with that smile? There’s no way you don’t know what a gold, silver and a copper coin denote now do you? A daughter of a commercial aristocratic family at that, there’s no way you don’t, right? It’s a simple difference of 100 → 1 you know.
“Now then, Mirai-chan. Here’s a question from me. How many copper coins are equal to one silver coin?”
When I asked her that, Mirai answered with a big smile.
“It’s 1000 coins, right? Because copper coins have low value after all. Why are you asking me such a thing?”
“Mirai, the answer is 100 coins.”
After a moment of silence, Mirai gawked at me from sides. And as we watched Elise return back like a breeze…
“”Ehehe~!””
I laughed it off. And as I did that anticipating for her to take a hint and go along with it, Mirai went along and laughed it off in an expected response. Because Mirai also went along with us as expected our harmony had reached its completion. The remaining two, who didn’t understand what was going on, looked at us with puzzled expressions.
