Chapter 7 : Master’s Birthday

The requests made to the guild vary widely, from gathering items to hunting magical beasts. Adventurers typically select tasks that match within their abilities.

Before me lay the massive corpse of a Black Wolf, a beast known for its agility and ability to quickly tear apart its prey despite its size. Magical beasts have varying individual traits, and their estimated rank based on size or speed isn’t always reliable.

This particular Black Wolf was evidently stronger than its estimated rank and would have been impossible for me to defeat alone.

That’s what Mira-san, standing next to me, said. The reason my senses felt off was that she had defeated this formidable beast in a single blow.

I should definitely be careful not to anger Mira-san in the future.
