Chapter 76: His and Their Future
While the snow hasn’t started falling just yet, the outside has gotten quite cold. The sun sets earlier now, making even previously well-lit hours rather dark.
In the midst of this, a beautiful young girl walks by.
“…Kukuku.”
I catch myself making an unsettling laugh, but I’ve already set my sights on a target.
I had told her earlier that I had some errands to run today. However, I finished up with my friends sooner than expected. Ever since I spotted her on my way back, I’ve been contemplating how to surprise her.
“…Let’s go.”
Will she be surprised? …Probably not.
I close the distance between us and, with a quick swoop from behind, spread my arms wide and hug her.
“It’s dangerous for a girl to be alone like this. What if someone attacked you?”
“Go ahead and attack me.”
“…”
I must have had a face as peaceful as a Buddha, as all tension instantly disappeared.
I slowly let go of her—Shirayuki—and she pouted, her lips pursed in dissatisfaction, as if asking why I didn’t continue.
“The reaction wasn’t what I was expecting.”
“Well, it’s you, Touma-kun. I noticed you approaching from behind anyway.”
It seems my surprise plan was doomed from the start.
“Sure, if it were someone like Arashi, I’d avoid the contact. But from you, there’s no need. Sorry if you were expecting a surprise. Want to try again?”
“That’s not really the point.”
“That’s unfortunate.”
With a small chuckle, Shirayuki embraced my arm as she usually does.
As we walked down the now dark road, I found myself multitasking, pondering other matters while talking with Shirayuki.
Both of our birthdays passed just a few days ago. While my own doesn’t concern me much, thoughts about Shirayuki’s birthday linger in my mind, leaving me uneasy and curious.
“Touma-kun, there’s something I want. Can I tell you? I don’t want you to say no—I have a feeling it’ll be alright.”
I was genuinely surprised at her words, while Hisui, who was standing beside me, just chuckled as if she understood.
“Shirayuki… are you sure this is okay?”
“Fufu, I’m sure. Didn’t I say it before? I can tell when things are alright.”
“That’s true, but really, you have an incredible sense of things.”
It’s not like Shirayuki has any superpowers, but there’s something mysterious about her and Hisui.
So, what actually happened on her birthday? It’s all encapsulated in this statement. She wanted it—wanted me to release everything inside, which I was holding back, fully and completely.
“Warm… Ah, I’m so happy♪”
“I’m envious… Touma-kun, can you do the same for me next?”
Alright, that’s enough reminiscing.
Sure, I was swayed by the atmosphere and Shirayuki’s plea, but just as she said, there seemed to be nothing to worry about.
Since then, every day has been like this: seeing Shirayuki’s utterly melted expression made Hisui more proactive. There were occasions when I feared I might get carried away by it all, but I somehow managed to hold my ground.
(Although I’ve been indulging in these extravagant days, I’ve been able to work hard in school thanks to a fulfilling private life.)
My academic performance is also improving, and I think it’s fair to say that I’ve completely overturned my previous reputation as Arashi. Not that everything is perfect, but the environment has definitely become better.
“Shirayuki, I’ve said it many times, but is it really okay to be this happy?”
“It’s fine. In fact, we’re going to be even happier. Touma-kun, do you ever wish to return to the world before?”
“I don’t. There’s no reason to.”
Obviously, I have no sense of belonging to the previous world.
I had a chance to hear from Shirayuki that she had been trying to get rid of any lingering sense of belonging I might still have.
When I heard that, I couldn’t help but laugh.
How could I think about wanting to go back when I have someone so wonderful right in front of me? Even if I did, I’d probably be forced to change my mind.
“Even if I say I want to go back, you wouldn’t let me, would you?”
“Of course not— it’s impossible now. Neither Mom nor I will ever let you go. We will never let go of your hand… absolutely.”
With those firmly spoken words, I glimpsed her clouded, dark eyes, a sight I hadn’t seen in a while.
Those eyes are undeniably unsettling, yet they also stir up a sense of nostalgia within me. I often find myself yearning for her to reveal them to me more frequently.
As for my former family and Yosuke, there has been no contact since then.
(…Well, I was quite taken aback when Yosuke and Kana crossed paths.)
Regardless, I resolved not to dwell on that any longer.
The reason for my coming to this world remains a mystery, but here I am, reaffirming my emotions with the girls I loved in my previous life.
To be honest, there are moments when I question if this is all an enduring dream.
But it’s not a dream; it’s reality. The presence of her, which I can feel in the palm of my hand, serves as a constant reminder of that fact.
“Shirayuki.”
“Yes.”
“Shall we continue to be happy together from now on?”
“Of course. The three of us—you, me, and Mom—will always be happy.”
Her smile is always beautiful, but today it looked even more beautiful than usual.

For Touma, the name ‘Arashi’ will forever be a part of him.
After all, the only ones who know about the existence of ‘Touma’ are Shirayuki and Hisui. There’s no memory of a person named ‘Touma’ existing in this world.
But that’s a trivial matter.
Even if he’s never separated from this world, as long as they know who ‘Touma’ is, that’s more than enough.
“I never thought it would be at the same time.”
“Yes. Fufu, how should we explain this in college?”
While looking pleased yet wryly smiling, Touma gazes at the beautiful women named Shirayuki and Hisui.
Sitting on the sofa, they place their hands on their swollen bellies while looking at Touma.
A few years have passed since Touma came as Arashi and became aware of his present circumstances; their love has now borne fruit.
“Well, the time for making decisions is long past.”
“You’ve endured it quite well, haven’t you?”
“Really, Touma-kun, you’re so stubborn.”
Touma chuckles at this, admitting to himself that he’s indeed stubborn.
Years have passed since then, meaning he has completely deviated from all predetermined paths, and is walking a new path he has chosen with them.
While things have been somewhat managed up to now, difficult times are undoubtedly ahead as an individual. But there’s no need to be afraid—they’re with him, after all.
“Alright, I should begin tending to both of your chores. I wouldn’t want to overwork you.”
In reality, the challenging times might already be upon them.
Touma continues to shape his future, under the watchful eyes of the two of them, and in return, he watches over them—their smiles an enduring and natural part of their lives.
“Touma-kun, I love you.”
“Touma-kun, I love you too.”
Above all, their days of being spoiled and cared for haven’t changed.
Their future is brimming with joy… it’s undoubtedly the perfect form of happiness that he and they have reached—a place where no one can interfere.
[Afterword]
And with that, this work has come to a conclusion!
I think there probably hasn’t been a single day when I didn’t update, although I’m not entirely sure about that.
The fact that I could work so hard up to this point is really all thanks to you.
Thank you very much!
I could have continued a bit longer, but the main reason I wanted to finish is because I’m quite busy with various things.
This year, I have a number of opportunities like books being published and comic adaptations, so that’s going to keep me very busy.
If you wouldn’t mind, I would appreciate it if you could also check those out!
See you again in another work!
TLN:
It was so long, really thank you everyone for reading, see you in some other work!
