Chapter 61: The Invitation of a Dream
“…?”
It was all too sudden.
As Shirayuki sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes, she looked around, confirming that it was indeed her room.
“Oh, right. Today, he’s by himself.”
Since Shirayuki usually slept with Touma whenever possible, there were moments like this when she would wake up and wonder why he wasn’t beside her. Today, neither Shirayuki nor Hisui were next to him, meaning Touma was sleeping alone.
“…”
Silently getting out of bed, she slowly walked out of the room.
With sleepy eyes, an exceptional style that drives the opposite sex wild, and an overwhelming allure that overflows even unconsciously—only Touma and Hisui get to see this side of Shirayuki.
“…Touma-kun”
Whispering his name didn’t bring happiness but instead a touch of unease.
Compelled by that feeling, she headed towards Touma’s room, and after hesitating for a moment, she knocked gently and entered.
The sight of Touma, snoring in a seemingly comfortable sleep, caught her eye.
As she got closer to him, his features became clearer, and just that made Shirayuki smile a little.
“Touma-kun is… there, right?”
He was sleeping right there, so of course, he was there.
However, for some reason, Shirayuki couldn’t calm her uneasiness. She reached out with her immaculate, snow-white hand and tightly held his hand.

“…Huh?”
It was a room that looked familiar.
For me, that room evoked a sense of nostalgia… yes, it was a room from the world where I had lived as Touma.
“This… must be a dream, right?”
In an instant, I understood that I was currently dreaming.
That said, there was no particular emotion upon seeing the nostalgic scene; I casually sat on a chair and booted up my computer.
“So nostalgic, seriously…”
Even though it was a dream, I vividly felt the sensation as I launched that game.
The world of the game where I had been drawn into… a dreamlike world where Shirayuki and Hisui loved me. I’ve thought about it many times, but it’s truly a profound feeling that such miracles can happen.
Yet, I quickly closed the game after starting it.
“Why do I have to see Shirayuki and Hisui loving someone other than me?”
It sounds like the words of a completely crazy person, but they come from knowing about that world and having shared feelings with them.
With that thought in mind, I closed the game, but for some reason, my computer froze.
“Huh…”
Well, it’s just a dream, so it wouldn’t be a problem even if it broke, but it’s natural to wonder what happened.
The mouse cursor wasn’t moving anymore, and I was at a loss.
As I reluctantly tried to force the computer to shut down by pressing the switch, a hand emerged from the monitor as if crawling out.
“What…?”
I was frozen in horror at this surprising sight. Despite the eerie appearance, the hand was beautiful… and without a doubt, it was a hand I knew very well.
I gripped that hand as if searching for something… and then I woke up.
“!?”
In an instant, I was whisked away from the bright world and returned to a dark one.
As I opened my eyes, I was greeted by a familiar ceiling… and when I shifted my gaze to the side, Shirayuki was standing there.
“…Ngh!?”
“Kyaa!?”
I was so surprised that I shouted out loud.
Shirayuki also let out a cute scream, but it’s understandable for me to be surprised… but what is Shirayuki doing here?
“I’m sorry. I was a bit anxious.”
“Anxious?”
“Yes.”
It seemed she had become worried about me and couldn’t sit still, so she came to my room. Now that I think about it, it’s not very common for Shirayuki to come to my room before morning.
Hisui too, if we decide to sleep together, we’d be together until morning, and if, as in today, we’re separate, unless something significant happens, we wouldn’t go to someone else’s room.
I checked the time; it was still past 2 o’clock… I see, it must be because she’s anxious.
“…Ah.”
Then, I recalled the fading memory from earlier.
The sensation of returning to that other world in my dream… and then the anomaly with the computer, gripping the hand that emerged from the monitor, and waking up.
“Shirayuki, let me see your hands.”
“Huh? Okay.”
I gently held out Shirayuki’s hand, and just as I suspected… yes, this hand, I nodded with conviction that the hand I held in the dream was indeed Shirayuki’s hand.
“What’s wrong?”
Seeing me fall silent, Shirayuki tilted her head in confusion.
Gazing at her, I felt an overwhelming sense of love spill over, and gently pulled her toward me.
Just like earlier, she let out a small shriek and fell on top of me. However, rather than getting angry, she rubbed her forehead against my chest and sniffed my scent.
“I had a dream.”
“A dream?”
I nodded as she brought her face closer to mine. Her appearance was risqué, but the fabric of her negligee was so thin that I could feel the warmth of her skin through it. It felt incredibly good.
My actions might have seemed a bit lecherous, but Shirayuki happily accepted my touch, licking my neck in return.
“I dreamed I went back to that other world.”
“Tell me more, please.”
Stopping her licking, Shirayuki raised her face and looked serious. What’s more, her eyes were unusually cloudy as she looked at me; she had an atmosphere as though she were a demon crawling out from the abyss.
While I was somewhat scared by her expression, I also found it interesting, different from the Shirayuki I was used to.
“But it was fine. A hand came crawling out of the monitor… and when I grabbed that hand, I woke up here.”
“That is… quite a coincidence, but it’s not something I’d like to imagine.”
If I hadn’t grabbed that hand, maybe I wouldn’t have been able to return here at all? It’s a ridiculous thought, but it’s also not impossible.
“In the dream, I held the hand, and when I woke up, Shirayuki was actually holding my hand… it feels like destiny, doesn’t it?”
“If destiny’s mischief separates us, it would be unbearable.”
“Indeed.”
Shirayuki’s expression finally softened at that.
However… waking up at such an hour is really troublesome, and it seemed Shirayuki felt the same… Huh?
“What’s the matter… Ah.”
That’s when we noticed that the door was slightly ajar.
Staring intently, it slowly opened and Hisui showed her face. She didn’t look jealous seeing us embracing on the bed; rather, she seemed relieved, placing a hand on her chest and exhaling deeply.
“I’m glad…”
Saying that, Hisui walked straight over to me. Climbing up onto the bed, she gently embraced me, pressing me into her ample bosom, much like Shirayuki had done.
“Did you get anxious too, Mom?”
“Yes. I had a dream where it seemed like… Touma-kun was drifting away.”
At this point, I couldn’t help but think that dream must have meant something.
What would’ve happened if I hadn’t grabbed Shirayuki’s hand… The thought terrified me, so I nestled further into Hisui’s chest.
Feeling comfortable with the soft, marshmallow-like sensation of Hisui’s bosom, I felt a somewhat dissatisfied gaze from Shirayuki and chuckled.
“Shirayuki? Touma-kun is seeking comfort from me right now, so please bear with it.”
“Even though I was the one who came here first… I was the one who brought Touma-kun back, you know?”
“That’s all in the past. Right now, he’s seeking comfort from me.”
“Guh… gunununu!!”
Well, well, it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to fall asleep anytime soon with all this going on.
Some time has passed, and it’s now 2:30 a.m… Now, how should I go about getting sleepy?
