The Case of Me, a Guy With Zero Dating Experience, Getting Mistaken for a Stalker by the Angel I Fell for at First Sight, Only to End Up Living Together With Her in a Harem Share House With a 1:9 Gender Ratio - Chapter 45: Lakeside Camping
Chapter 45: Lakeside Camping
On a Saturday in June, a camping event was held.
Unless there was an unavoidable reason, participation was mandatory, a share house tradition.
The residents split into two vehicles—a rented large camping van and Asuna’s minivan—and headed to the campground.
That morning, they shopped for ingredients at the nearby Fresh ONE Supermarket, loading them into the vehicles alongside seafood and meats Asuna had ordered online from various regions.
Their destination was Megami Lake Auto Campground in Nagano Prefecture.
This recently opened high-end campground, located near a lake with stunning views, was equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi.
The administration building featured a sauna, shower rooms, coin laundry, flush toilets with heated seats, a shop, and a café-bar.
The trip from the share house to the campground took about 3 hours and 30 minutes via highway.
After a break at a service area, they arrived at the campground just past 12:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, the parking lot offered a view of birch trees and the lake, beautiful like a painting.
“Wow, what a view~”
“The lake’s so pretty!”
The women’s excitement skyrocketed at the stunning scenery.
The lake reflected the early summer sunlight, its ripples sparkling.
The temperature was a comfortable 24°C.
“This campground isn’t right on the lakeshore, but you can see the lake, so the view’s great.”
With time before check-in, everyone had a light lunch in the vehicles.
At check-in time, Asuna completed registration at the administration building, and they moved the vehicles to the auto site.
Of the three reserved sites, they parked the camping van and minivan at the outer sites as windbreaks.
In the middle site, they decided to set up a tarp for the group gathering.
“Yuuki-kun, your turn~”
Asuna called Yuuki.
“Yes, leave it to me.”
Yuuki was tasked by Asuna with setting up the screen tarp for the gathering and a two-room tent for sleeping.
“We’re gonna check out the lake!”
The older women—Reina, Riona, Mizuki, and Akane—ran toward the lake.
As Yuuki set up the screen tarp alone…
“Yuuki-san, I’ll help.”
“Yuuki, I’ll help too.”
Voices came from both sides simultaneously.
It was Sakura and Miku.
“Oh, thank you.
Then I’ll take you up on that…”
“Yes.”
The two said in unison.
(I thought I’d get some alone time with Yuuki… Why’s Sakura-chan here…?)
Miku hid her emotions with a forced smile and helped Yuuki.
“Sakura-san, that pole, a bit more this way… Yes, thank you.”
Yuuki gave instructions, and Sakura nodded happily.
Seeing their interaction, Miku’s expression clouded.
“Yuuki, where do I hammer this peg?”
Miku deliberately asked loudly, cutting between the two.
Sakura had come to help out of pure concern, seeing Yuuki struggling alone.
Thanks to their help, the screen tarp was completed faster than expected.
“Asuna-san, the tarp’s done.
You can bring in the stuff~”
Having finished the tarp, Yuuki set up the two-room tent at the site where the minivan was parked.
Meanwhile, Asuna began preparing the camping van.
She placed a level on the table for “leveling” the vehicle.
“Kotoha-chan, can you keep an eye on this?”
Calling to Kotoha nearby, Asuna slowly drove the tires onto levelers to achieve perfect balance.
Next, she pulled an extension cord from the site’s power box and connected it to the vehicle’s external power socket.
“Now we can use the air conditioner.”
Finally, she cranked a handle, extending the side awning from the vehicle’s side, setting up its legs to secure it.
A comfortable living space appeared in no time.
“Fuu, that should do it.
Tonight’s sleeping quarters are ready.”
Asuna smiled with satisfaction.
Glancing over, she saw Sena sitting in a chair in front of the camping van, reading.
“Sena-chan, sorry, but can you call Riona-chan and the others?
Tell them to stop playing and help out a bit.
If they don’t, no dinner, okay? Say I said that…”
“Haai~ I’ll call them~”
Sena, a rare sight at the share house, went to fetch the older residents.

With setup mostly done, they decided to assign sleeping arrangements for the night.
Asuna gathered everyone and began.
“I want to decide where everyone’s sleeping tonight.
The camping van fits 6, the tent 4.
As owner’s privilege, I’m taking the camping van.
So, 5 more can sleep there.
Yuuki-kun, as manager, I’d like you to be the bodyguard in the tent.”
“Yes, got it.”
“So, the remaining 8 will decide between the two.
We’ll take volunteers for the camping van (5) and tent (3).
If there’s overlap, we’ll settle it fairly with rock-paper-scissors, okay?”
Asuna looked around, but no one objected.
“Who wants the camping van? Raise your hands!”
At her call, Reina, Riona, Mizuki, Akane, and Sena raised their hands.
“Oh, exactly 5. The rest are okay with the tent, right?
Then these 5 are set for the camping van!”
“Yatta~!”
“Now we can sleep easy.”
Cheers rose from the camping van group.
“Miku, Sakura, Kotoha, you three okay with the tent?”
Asuna asked with concern.
“Yes, I’m fine.”
“No problem.”
Kotoha and Miku replied.
“Probably fine.”
Sakura was anxious about sleeping in a tent and sleeping bag for the first time, unsure if she’d rest well.
“Yuuki, just because you’re in the same tent as the girls, don’t try anything, got it?”
Riona said, half-joking, half-serious.
“I wouldn’t do that…”
“Tent girls…
If Yuuki tries anything, scream for help.”
Riona’s words were sharp.
