Tia’s POV

A loud voice echoed after Miinya took down one particularly skilled enemy. 

“YOU USELESS OLD HAG!!!”

The enemy stopped moving for a split second. Their attention shifted toward the source of the voice. There, a man’s figure came to my view. What a disgusting man. He dared to spout insult toward someone who had sacrificed her life for him… Anger consumed me. By the time I realized it, I was already rushing toward him. 

“Tia-?!”

I could hear Miria’s voice at the back of my mind, but I ignored her. 

“Marin! Letty!”

“I-It’s impossible!”

“Hm. Impossible.”

“Ugh… Tia-chan…”

“Your Highness…”

I cut down the approaching enemies and headed straight for the disgusting man. Noticing my presence, the man also readied his sword and shield. I then put more strength in the sword I held tightly with both hands. 

“So you’re the one that instigated the attack on Rainrose?!”

“So what if I am?!”

“And El too!!”

However, my sword only sliced through the air. Did he dodge my attack?!

“You won’t be able to hit me with that, you know?! I’m not the old me anymore! Everything has changed ever since I acquired this body! In fact, come be mine! I will give you my baby seeds if you do!”

“Who would-“

He dodged the sword I had swung with all my might. 

“Who would want your things! Besides! If it’s baby seeds, I’ve already received them in my body!”

An opening!

Thinking that, I launched a full-force strike toward the man’s neck, but suddenly, he blocked my attack with his shield. 

Clang!!

My sword broke because of the impact. I struggled to get back on my feet, cursing my own foolishness. But then, the man struck my face with the shield.

“Ugh…”

I fell to the floor again and his remaining soldier closed the distance. I was held down by the female soldiers. 

“Dill-sama! This woman is the princess of this country!”

Tch. She definitely didn’t need to say that..

“I see. No wonder you’re so pretty.”

“Kill me.”

“Oi, let’s take her with us and leave this place.”

“Unfortunately, I won’t serve as a good hostage, you know?”

“Tch. Oi, all of you. Get over here.”

The man issued a new order to his soldiers, but it was no use. I had already steeled myself to die if I had to. 

“Be my meat mall and don’t let anyone pass, okay? I’m going to violate this girl right in front of the enemy.”

“-?!”

The heck you are planning to do in the middle of a battle?!

“You see, once women see what I have in my pants, they will start begging for it, you know? After all, that’s the kind of world we live in after all! I will violate you to my heart’s content! Kukukuku… Hahahahaha!!”

“Kill me! Just kill me! I told you already, I’ve devoted all of mine to him!”

The man started taking off his clothes. 

This guy… He’s seriously going to…?

I resisted with all my might while trying to gauge the situation around. Miria was desperately doing her hardest to come this way. Not just Miria. Everyone was trying to break through the enemy’s rank with all of their might. They were fighting hard while shouting something. They were shouting my name and telling the enemy to not touch me, but…

“El….”

I muttered the name of the person I loved as my vision started to blur. 

“Nice… Nothing hits harder than a woman’s tears, you know? So salacious. Go on, imagine the face of the man you said you’ve devoted your body to. Soon, I will overwrite that guy’s face with mine.”

The man inched closer. 

El, I’m sorry… I’m so sorry… I… I’m going to be defiled..

WHOOOSH!!

But then, I could hear the sound of wind slicing through the air. 

“GYAHHH?!?!”

The man’s voice echoed.

WHOOOSH!!WHOOOSH!!

I could hear the sound of wind slicing through the air again. Twice. Suddenly, the soldier who was holding me down fell to the floor. I quickly grabbed the sword lying there and got on my feet again. 

“Tia! Over here!”

Without bothering to see the owner of the voice, I rushed toward the source of the voice.

Chapter 76:  That’s…

El’s POV

“Man… A secret passage usually only has one route, right? Or maybe this secret passage was deliberately designed like this to deter intruders from following? Anyway… I’m lost, right? I’m completely lost, right?”

I peered from the gap of a card I was hiding in. I could see Tia and the other female soldiers entering the town and split up into smaller groups. I got off from the cart I had been hiding in and followed Tia and the others from a safe distance. Everyone was abnormally perceptive. I needed to be careful. Things would turn sour if they realized I was following them. Everyone then entered what appeared to be an underground passage. They all had torches in hand. Not me though. I didn’t have any torch in me…

Anyway, I ended up keeping my distance way too far from them and now I was stuck in the darkness. I made my way through the passage which led me to this situation. 

“Ugh… Water…”

This voice… I’ve heard this voice before. 

I slowly made my way toward the source of the sound and soon, I could see a glimmer of light. I moved carefully until I realized the voice was coming from inside a cell. There were no guards around, so I silently made my way to the cell and there, I saw a woman lying on the ground. 

“Prime Minister Clara?! I’m so glad you’re still alive!”

“Please… Water.”

I quickly handed her the bamboo water bottle I had. Thankfully, the water bottle could fit through the bars. She quickly gulped down the water and after a brief moment of respite, Prime Minister Clara stared at me. 

“El-kun, how did you end up here?”

“To sum it up, I’m here to take the castle back. I was worried about Tia and the others though…”

“I see. So, it’s safe to say that Princess Tia’s wish has come true, right?”

“Yes. But still, I’m glad to see that Prime Minister Clara is still alive. His Majesty was also very worried about you.”

“His Majesty…”

“Anyway, could you tell me the way out of here?”

“Yes, but… The enemy… That man is targeting you, El-kun. Isn’t it dangerous for you to be here?”

“It’s okay. I have this with me.”

I showed Prime Minister Clara the thing I had been holding on.

“That’s…?”

“It’s a small bow gun.”

“A crossbow?”

“Yeah. Basically it’s like a regular bow but with more power and speed.”

This was the thing I had been honing with the craftsmen over several years of development. Unfortunately, this bow gun didn’t have a rapid-fire feature yet, that was why I brought three bow guns with me. I attached two to my waist along with the extra arrows. Increasing the shooting power alone was already difficult to achieve…

“So? Could you tell me how to get to where I need to go?”

“Understood. Follow me, El-kun…”

Prime Minister Clara told me the right pathway that led to the king’s chamber. I could hear the sound of battle. It seemed the fight had already started. I hurried up the stairs in front of me and quietly slid open the door. 

According to Prime Minister Clara, this pathway should lead to a door in one of the large large pillars supporting the king’s chamber. I didn’t know an entrance to a hidden passage was hidden amongst the pillars. I cautiously peered around the pillar and soon enough, the throne came into a view. There, I saw Tia being held down by two female soldiers.

Then, one unknown man started approaching my Tia with the lower-half of his body completely exposed. I aimed my bow gun and I took aim!

The arrow hit the man’s thing accurately. I threw the bow gun to the ground and took out the spare bow gun at my waist. I shoot the two female soldiers holding Tia down. 

“Tia! Over here!”

“El!”

Tia quickly stood up and ran toward me. Taking her hand, I led her down the hidden passage inside the pillar.
