Chapter 25: It Took Us Quite a While…

After both King Rainrose and Queen Heartness left our region, I was finally able to relax. Having the most important people in a country in our territory was really unnerving. I couldn’t afford to let my guard down. I had to pay special attention to my behavior so I wouldn’t act disrespectful. Well, one of the biggest reasons why I was so tired was because of His Majesty though. Listening to his rambles really tired me out…

With His Majesty leaving, that meant Tia was leaving as well. Honestly speaking, I was sad to know Tia would be leaving this soon. During the three days Tia was here, we went to fish at the nearby river, explored the village together and so many other things. Basically, we were glued together during all of Tia’s free time. When Tia was leaving, she cried, but after we made a promise to meet again, she finally smiled.

King Rainrose left first and as soon as they left, Queen Heartness and Miria urged me to proceed with the engagement almost everyday. But in the end, we decided to put the engagement on hold for now. 

When Queen Heartness was about to leave, she said to me..

“If you ever want to have a grandma-granddaughter bowl, you have to come to a decision quickly, okay? Better decide it soon while both me and my mother are still young~♡”

As for Miria, she kept telling me…

“I will definitely marry you, Darling!”

However, no matter how much they tried to persuade me, I was still five years old, you know? Anyway, those eventful days finally passed by and I was able to enjoy my peaceful daily life again… 

Or so I thought. 

One day, Wuxian finally called me about something I had asked her to do. Finally, huh… It took us quite a while. 

Together with Leila, I quickly went to Wuxian’s place. 

“Master… What can I assist you with today?”

“Isn’t it about time for you to stop calling me ‘master’…?”

“Can’t you just call me by my name like normal?”

“Maria-sama has instructed me to tell you to make more time for her…”

Two years had passed since Master took me in. At first, I thought he merely wanted to have me as a playmate, but I realized I was wrong shortly after he took me in. 

Because, Master was not a girl. He was a boy…. And I only came to realize this on that night.

It all started when Maria-sama said…

“It’s about time for us to take a bath.”

Apparently, Master always bathed together with everyone in this house. But then, Master spoke up..

“No, I think I should start taking a bath alo-“

“You know that’s not going to happen, right El?”

“…Yes.”

“Now then, Leila too. Let’s take a bath together!”

“Understood.”

“No, but, I’m a boy, you know? Is it okay for her to take a bath together with me?”

Someone really needed to praise me for not raising my voice at that moment. I absolutely had no idea that Master was actually a boy. 

Huh?! What?! Seriously?! Taking a bath together with a boy… Tha-That’s so embarrassing! No! It’s too embarrassing! I think I’m going to die out of shame for real! Bu-But…The opportunity to take a bath together with a boy won’t come twice… I need to make the best out of it!

Despite the inner conflict brewing in my mind, I replied as calmly as I could. 

“I don’t mind.”

“…Huh?”

Master’s surprised face was not something I could ever forget. Well, that and the thing that was dangling between Master’s legs. The fact that I ended up staring at the thing hanging between Master’s legs far longer than necessary… No one could torture this information out of me. 

Also… Little did I know that I would be released from slavery and able to live a life similar to when I was a noble shortly after that. 

After that, I began taking the initiative to take care of Master. I made sure to stick with him at all times, whether when he was sleeping or taking a bath. Truth be told, I had fallen for him. Why? Well, he might only had bought me out of whim, but he was my savior. He was the one that saved me when I was at the brink of despair. The things that he did out of whim were everything to me. There was no way I wouldn’t fall for him. 

I heard for a noble man like him, the one that would take their virginity was their maid. A nighttime partner, so to say. Deep in my mind, I hoped I could be that partner to him. Anyway, after I became Master’s maid, my life was filled with surprises after surprises. Even though Master was two years younger than him, everything that he did was revolutionary. He must be what people call a true genius. I couldn’t fathom how he could think about all these new ideas… He really never ceased to amaze me. 

However, I couldn’t help but to worry about my mother. Wuxian-san said that even she didn’t know where my mother was. It wouldn’t be fair if I was the only one that could achieve happiness. At least, I hoped my mother was in good health.

Today, Master was summoned by Wuxian-san and so, I would also come along to accompany him. As soon as we arrived at Wuxian-san’s mansion, Wuxian-san immediately told me to come with her. Master then said he’d be waiting for me in another room. I didn’t know what Wuxian-san wanted from me, but I was determined to quickly handle whatever she wanted me  to do and return to Master’s side as soon as possible.

“There’s someone here in the guest room that I want you to meet.”

“…Me?”

“Yes. Feel free to take your time.”

“Yes… Thank you very much.”

I didn’t know who it was, but I couldn’t afford to ‘take my time’ so to say. I opened the door to the guest room and what I saw before my eyes was…

“Ah…. Mo-Mother…?”

“Leila!!”

“MOTHERRRRRRR!!”

I ran as fast as I could and threw myself into her arms. 

“MOMMY!! MOMMYY!!”

“LEILA!! LEILA!!!”

The one waiting for me in the guest room was none but my mother. She must had gone through a lot of things since she looked so much thinner than in my memories. Forgetting about everything else, we hugged each other. We basked in our reunion and cried uncontrollably. 

Quite some time had passed before we could calm down a little. Wuxian-san came to our room again. She knocked and said,”Is it okay to talk now?” she said loud enough before approaching us. 

I was truly grateful for her consideration toward us. 

“”Thank you so much. Thanks to you, I was able to see my mother(daughter) again.””

“…Actually, I’ve been wanting to tell you about this, but El-sama said that it’s better if we keep this a secret from you.”

“Master did?!”

Master… To my mother…

“To be honest, it cost quite a significant amount of money to find your mother. Not only do we have to buy your mother, who was a slave, but we also have to pay to receive the information regarding her whereabouts and various other expenses… El-sama was the one that covered all the expenses. It seemed, he started all those businesses to get enough money for this…”

“Ma-Master…”

To think Master had been working hard behind the scenes for my sake….

“Also… My apologies. It took us this long to find you. We are truly sorry.”

“Please don’t apologize… Just being able to meet my daughter again… That alone is already…”

“Me too…”

Master… There was absolutely no need for him to apologize. I was already grateful that I could meet my mother again… 

“There’s a message from El-sama for you. He said that he has booked an inn, so please stay there and take your time with your mother. Anyway, you don’t need to worry about anything. El-sama is truly a wonderful man, isn’t he?”

“El-sama… El-sama….”

El-sama… Just how far… Just how cool you are… I… I will stand by your side no matter what. I respect you a lot, El-sama. I will dedicate my whole life to El-sama… Please, allow me to do so!

Following El-sama’s words, me and my mother spent our time rejoicing in our reunion… Of course, our conversation mainly revolved around El-sama.
