A few days had passed since summer vacation began. Under the blazing sun that felt like it was searing everything in its path, I had come to the station, our meeting spot, along with Chinatsu.

The ones who had gathered were me, Chinatsu, Seira-san, Miran, Anjuu-chan, Sagisawa-san, and—

“Thank you for coming, everyone. Today is my way of showing appreciation for all your hard work. Please enjoy yourselves to the fullest.”

The one who declared this was Sumeragi-senpai. At last, the day had come when, thanks to Sumeragi-senpai’s suggestion, we were all going to the beach. It seemed like the girls had gone out of their way to buy new swimsuits and get ready in advance, so it was clear how much they had been looking forward to it.

And I was, too. I mean, yeah, I was looking forward to it, but…

Seira-san, Miran, Chinatsu, and Anjuu-chan kept glancing at me, their eyes carrying a suspicious lingering heat to it. Apparently, the promise they had made among themselves…Or to be precise, the abstinence they had been keeping since exam time was ending today.

When Sumeragi-senpai said that, an elderly man dressed in a neatly pressed suit opened the door of an 8-seater vehicle and motioned for us to board it.

“Indeed. Jiiya… He is a servant who works for my household. Today, he’s kindly agreed to serve as our driver.”

And so, I ended up sitting in the center of the front row. Miran was on my right, Seira-san on my left, Anjuu-chan behind Miran, Chinatsu behind me, and Sagisawa-san behind Seira-san. We somehow managed to squeeze in.
