After the entrance ceremony and the homeroom session were over, most students headed toward the shoe lockers. However, one particular student moved in the opposite direction, heading back to the classroom area. Her neatly tied twin-tails bounced as she skipped lightly, perhaps thinking of her beloved older brother. A choker adorned her neck, with a heart-shaped charm glinting as it caught the light. Her natural smile only enhanced her charm and every male student she passed couldn’t help but turn their heads to look at her twice, completely captivated by her. She stopped in front of a certain classroom. Peering inside, she immediately spotted her beloved older brother. 

“Onii! I’m here!”

“Chinatsu! You really didn’t have to go out of your way to come all the way to my classroom…”

“It’s fine~ I’m here because I want to~♪︎”

Chinatsu said with the cutest smile I had ever seen.

No, but more importantly… Chinatsu, you’re really wearing that choker to school…?

Back when we were talking about getting a gift for her middle school graduation and high school entrance, the very first thing Chinatsu said she wanted was a “collar.” It turned out she still couldn’t forget the sensation from back then… To be honest, the whole idea of putting a collar on my little sister felt pretty questionable to say the least, but since Chinatsu refused to back down, we ended up coming up with a compromise by getting her a stylish choker that looked fashionable and didn’t look suspicious at all. It seemed she really liked the choker, so much so that she wore it to school.

“Oh? Are you Haruku-kun’s little sister?”

“Ah, Senpai. Good day. It’s been a while since we last played basketball, huh?”

“WHAT?! SHE’S SQUIRREL-CHAN’S LITTLE SISTER?!”

The classmates, who had been curiously watching a new first year student wandering into the second year classroom, raised their voices in surprise upon realizing she was my little sister.

“So-So adorb…?! Huh?! Wait, seriously?! Your little sister is this adorable?!”

“Now that you mention it… I guess her eyes look similar to yours~”

Not one to get intimidated, Chinatsu scratched her cheek shyly with all the praises. She looked really pleased and of course, that bashful gesture of hers seemed to have a devastating impact on the boys in the class. 

“Nice to meet you, Chinatsu-chan. I’m Shouki. If possible, I’d love to get to know you better… How about it?”

Shouki ran a hand through his hair and extended his right hand toward Chinatsu in an exaggeratedly pretentious flourish. He was the type of a guy who would hit on any cute girl he came across, so this scene was nothing new. The classmates who were watching this seemed to be exasperated at Shouki, thinking, “There he goes again…”

“Could you refrain from hitting on my little sister right in front of me?”

“Why should I? I’m not doing any crime and it’s up to Chinatsu-chan to decide, right?”

“Hmm… You seem kind of shady, so I’ll have to decline!”

“Ugh!”

“Rejected! AHAHAHA!”

“Well, duh. Shouki won’t stand a chance with Chinatsu-chan.”

“No, but she’s really adorable… Could it be… The Top Three Beauties is about to transform into Top Four Beauties?”

“Haruku-kun is adorable too… If he were a girl, I’m sure he’d look like Chinatsu-chan…”

Shouki’s soul anguished cry echoed throughout the classroom.

“First, it’s Miran-chan and then, it’s Seira-chan and now it’s Chinatsu-chan! All of them are going to Haruku! That’s right, I know what you did today! I saw you walking to school with Seira-chan and Chinatsu-chan! Each of them were holding onto your arms while you had Miran-chan on your back!”

“For real?! Not only does he have two of the Top Three Beauties clinging to him, but he also has a younger sister this adorable?!”

A crisp, commanding voice cut through the chaos like a sharp blade. The sound of shoes tapping against the hallway floor was echoing within the silent classroom. Standing with an elegance that captivated everyone regardless of gender, there stood the most popular student in the school. Everyone turned their head toward the student council president—Arisa Sumeragi-senpai.
