Seira-san, Miran and Chinatsu too… All of them were dangerous. They were moving like nothing I had ever seen before. I didn’t know they were that strong physically. Thanks to that, I was able to win the match that Shuuya had one-sidedly pushed toward me, but… A new problem sprouted from that. To put it simply, I came to realize that no matter how hard I struggled, I wouldn’t be able to compete with them in terms of physical strength. Normally speaking, men should have the upper hand in physical strength over women, but well… Considering this and that, it was obvious I couldn’t stand a chance against them.

In response to my question, Sagisawa-san stared at me with clear confusion etched on her face. 

“Well… Since Sagisawa-san is a raptor… A raptor beastman, I thought you might know a way to control carnivores or something like that…”

“…First, it’s better if you stop phrasing it like that. Some beastman dislike being treated like actual animals.”

“Ah…! I-I’m sorry! I-I didn’t mean it like that at all…”

“I don’t mind, but… Well, Yukiya-san and Sakuraba-san probably don’t mind either. Anyway, it’s best if you be more careful with your words going forward.”

“Yeah. I really didn’t think my words through first. I’m sorry, Sagisawa-san.”

“So? You were asking how to tame Yukiya-san and Sakuraba-san…?”

“You must be referring to the popular belief that snakes don’t get attached to their owner, right? Well, I’m sure if the snake is used to you, they will let you hold them though.”

“Snakes don’t get attached, huh… So that’s why Miran is so prickly..”

“That’s just her way of hiding her shyness… Come on, open your eyes already…”

“Huh? What did you say, Sagisawa-san?”

“No, nothing. Well, snakes need more time to remember smells and faces, so it’s better if you’re more patient with them. You need to spend more time with them to let them get used to you.”

“I see, time, huh… But I think I’ve spent more than enough time with Miran. After all, we’re childhood friends, you know?”

“So she’s already trained… I wish the two of you will find eternal happiness…”
