- The Bottom-tier Dungeon Streamer Meets a Famous Streamer by Misunderstanding His Strength and Using the Skill "Intimidation," and Becomes a Legend Without Realizing It?!
- Chap 12: Troublemaking Streamers - Edited
“Thanks for the downvotes, everyone!”
Muto and his crew from the Sherlock Channel, having incited monsters against Sakurako and her group, were still broadcasting from inside the dungeon. Nearly ten thousand people were watching their stream.
〈You guys are seriously messing around!〉
〈Apologize to Sak-chan!〉
〈I’ve reported you to the Association!〉
〈Don’t get cocky just because you can only get attention by harassing others!!!〉
〈Scum of society!〉
〈Die!!!〉
Followers of Sakurako and others who already disliked them continued to spam the chat and give low ratings.
“Haha, things are really heating up.”
However, they were unfazed by this. The more chaos, the more viewers they attracted. And the more viewers they gained, the more foolish followers they acquired. People whose lives weren’t going well felt a sense of camaraderie with people like Muto, who dragged others down rather than shiny individuals like Sakurako.
These people deluded themselves into thinking they were part of the gang by financially supporting them, mistaking themselves for doing something special.
“Report us all you want. It doesn’t bother us at all.”
“Besides, we’re done with the annoying Association’s investigations. They’ve acknowledged that they have nothing to do with us.”
“The real problem is that girl who’s weak but flirts with guys to gain viewers. Didn’t she get attacked by a monster recently and got injured?”
“That’s right. And it was just the first level? That’s laughable! Instead of acting all high and mighty, she should spend some time training.”
“She’s trained enough to get those big boobs, right?”
“Hahahaha! Maybe we should join her training?”
The four men laughed. The comments overflowed with abuse, but some were in agreement. Not a few were jealous of the popular Sakurako. Streamers are always exposed to hostility.
“But that little Rider guy isn’t showing up. Thought he’d come to play since he was so mad. He’s really not getting into it. Boring.”
“If we could collab with him, we’d get even more viewers.”
“Yeah. If he hit us, we could even get a settlement.”
“Just wait. He was so heated up; he’ll show up soon enough.”
“Hopefully he doesn’t get attacked by monsters again.”
“Hahahahaha!!!”
Laughing crudely, Muto lightly stroked the ring on his index finger. It was a “Control Ring,” a costly item worth millions under normal circumstances, used to command monsters. He had tricked another streamer into giving it to him.
The ring allowed him to freely control any specified monster for a few minutes. Though it was limited to monsters of rank B or lower and with low intelligence, it could still manipulate up to twenty monsters at once.
They had repeatedly used the Control Ring for similar mischief. However, it had only been 30 years since dungeons appeared, and the investigation into their interiors was still in its early stages, with legal frameworks not yet fully established. The Dungeon Association, which managed the dungeons, would not intervene unless their own regulations were violated.
Thus, whether it was Shinya secretly collecting mushrooms or them openly harming others, without concrete evidence, they could not be legally prosecuted.
“What are you laughing at? I can’t forgive this…”
Shouta watched their broadcast from a bench near the hospital park, gripping his smartphone so hard it might break as he resolved himself.
“I can’t forgive them. They must pay for hurting my sister.”
Observing Shouta, Ninko stood in front of the bench and responded in a quiet voice.
“Are you sure about this? As Shinya-sama said, if you act here, we’ll be the ones at a loss.”
“And what? You’re saying we should just leave them be? People who think they can do anything as long as it doesn’t break the rules need to be taught a painful lesson, even if it means mutual destruction.”
“No matter how minor they may be, there are four of them. I can’t see how you alone, with your limited combat skills, could handle them.”
“We won’t know unless we try.”
Shouta stood up, still holding his smartphone.
“Besides, I’m a hero. A hero never runs away from villains.”
“Don’t you consider asking Shinya-sama for help?”
“That person… no, it’s useless talking to him. In the end, he’s not interested in us. Both my sister and I admire him, but we’ve only been a nuisance… It would be too selfish to ask for his help now.”
“I understand. Then, we have no choice but to go together.”
“…What?”
Surprised, Shouta looked at Ninko, who smiled slightly.
“I’m also angry. The thought of Sakurako being hurt makes me want to start running right now. I feel bad for Shinya-sama, but I can’t just stand by and do nothing.”
“Are you sure? You’re from the—”
“It’s okay. My father and mother would forgive me if it’s for a friend. My ninja suit is meant to help friends.”
Their gazes met, and they made their resolve. Even if it meant they could no longer continue their streaming activities, or even if they ended up arrested, they were determined to teach Muto and his group a lesson.
However, just as they solidified their resolve, a notification popped up on both of their smartphones.
“…This.”
“Can it be…?”
As if on cue, they opened the app, and a voice came through the speakers.
“Hello, hello! I’m about to start broadcasting now.”
Contrary to his previous detachment, Shinya, sounding lethargic, had started a broadcast from inside the dungeon.
