Mikami-san Wants to Be Praised.
In the end, I was thoroughly chupachupaed.
Mikami-san, while saying “Oh, no need to mind me,” continued to nibble on my fingers, and I felt like my strength was slightly drained by the sheer force of her actions. To think she could simultaneously deliver both a physical and mental attack… Mikami-san, truly formidable.
(Honestly… it was a little thrilling.)
It felt incredibly… sinful.
A new door was about to open. I managed to close it, but barely.
After being thoroughly sucked on, I tried not to look at my soft, sensitive fingers as I moved on to the next spot.
Ping pong, tennis, basketball. We’ll compete in these three ball games, with the loser facing a penalty game. The winner is decided not by each individual game, but by the overall score. In other words, if I win two out of three, I can make Mikami-san take the penalty game.
Honestly, I’m not too confident in any of these games… but if I’m going for victory, ping pong and basketball are the ones I’m most likely to win.
I don’t want to end up with a penalty game myself, but I’m definitely interested in making Mikami-san face one. Sorry, but I’ll be winning this.

There was a time when I thought things would go smoothly for me.
“What… the hell…?!”
“Kirishima-san, it seems the penalty game has been decided for you.”
Mikami-san’s smug face, proudly puffing her chest next to me as I gasped for air on the bench at the tennis court, was blinding.
I lost straight in ping pong and tennis, and without even reaching the final basketball match, my defeat and the penalty game were already confirmed.
“Wait… what’s going on? Mikami-san, are you actually experienced in ping pong and tennis?”
“I only played ping pong in middle school gym class, and as for tennis… well, it was pretty much my first time.”
“It sure didn’t look like it…”
In ping pong, she served with spin like a seasoned player, and even when I barely returned the ball, if it floated a little, she would smash it hard.
As for tennis… well, I don’t even know what happened, but it was impressive. I managed to keep the rally going a bit, but I couldn’t keep up with her stamina, and after being tossed around from side to side, I inevitably lost.
Looking back, there was nothing special about it. I just got overpowered.
“From pitching to batting, I should’ve known… Mikami-san, you’re a natural at sports.”
“I wouldn’t say I’m a genius at everything. But when there’s a penalty game involved with you, Kirishima-san, I’m always stronger than usual.”
“…That’s a scary power-up.”
Still, the fact remains that I lost.
I failed to check just how capable Mikami-san was and assumed I’d have the advantage in terms of strength and build because we were both beginners. That was a huge mistake on my part.
And yet, we’re both playing in our school uniforms, so the conditions are the same. Neither of us has an advantage in terms of mobility. In fact, I think Mikami-san has it harder, moving around in a skirt like that.
“…So, what’s the penalty game?”
“It’s on hold for now. I don’t really have anything I want right now… oh!”
“…What? You’ve come up with something weird, haven’t you?”
“No, don’t worry. It’s nothing like that, so you can relax.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
Now that my mind’s made up, I’m willing to go along with whatever crazy idea she throws at me, but putting it on hold… That’s even worse. The scariest thing would be when I forget about the penalty game, and it suddenly hits me out of nowhere. Please, just let it disappear from my memory.
“Alright, next up is the basketball showdown.”
“My loss has already been decided, but we’re still doing this?”
“Of course. It’ll feel great to win completely against you, Kirishima-san, and give you a penalty game. And also…”
“And also?”
“U-um… I want to show you something cool and have you praise me a lot.”
“…That’s so cute.”
“C-cute…?!”
As always, the reason she’s so eager is just too cute.
I don’t even need her to think that way; she’s already showing me plenty of impressive sides of herself. In fact, there’s almost nothing but good sides I’ve seen so far.
If she shows me any more cool and cute sides… what’s going to happen to me? Will I go blind from the overwhelming brilliance?
“Anyway, for the ping pong and tennis rounds… you need to praise me a lot.”
“Uh, yeah… you were really amazing. So cool.”
“Hehe… but is that all?”
“Uh, is there more?”
“I’m happy with words, but I’d like you to show it physically too. Specifically… like this.”
“Hey, wait…”
With that, Mikami-san took my hand and guided it… placing it on her head.
Then, with a half-closed eye, she moved my hand, rubbing it against her head like a cat would.
She did that for a while, but then puffed her cheeks and began moving my hand toward her face.
“Mmm, why aren’t you petting me?”
“Uh… isn’t this going a bit beyond just praising me? Is this okay?”
“It’s fine. It’s right in the middle of it.”
“…Well, if Mikami-san’s okay with it, then I guess it’s fine.”
Mikami-san had requested my praise.
I was nervous about patting a girl’s head, and my hands shook, but since Mikami-san didn’t refuse, I guess it wasn’t that bad.
However, when I tried to pull my hand away, she insisted, “Just five more minutes, ten more minutes, one more hour,” and in the end, it turned into a reverse door-in-the-face technique, “Seventy-two more hours.”
Calming Mikami-san down was a little difficult (this was the third time).
Afterward, we headed to the half-court for basketball and played a 1-on-1 game.
The result… well, you can guess, right?
I lost.

November 11th is Pocky Day
“Kirishima-san, let’s play the Pocky game.”
“No way.”
“Thank you. Then, hmm…”
“I said no.”
“I can’t hear you. Munch munch munch.“
“You ate it all by yourself!”
“Well, I thought the process was irrelevant at this point.”
“Are you ignoring the rules of the Pocky game?”
“Then, Kirishima-san… don’t run away.”
“Ah, hey…”
