The adorable Villainess is mine - Chapter 10- Kiss
Grace has been following Carter for the past few minutes.
He was gripping her wrist, not too strongly, but his pace did indicate that he was currently anxious.
She didn’t need to guess.
She remained silent and followed him to the rooftop.
He slowly released her hand and turned towards her.
His eyes searched for hers.
She continued to look at him with a neutral gaze.
What could she say here?
Her expression portrayed indifference, and that is exactly what hurt him.
That she actually didn’t mind.
“There are certain things which don’t deserve forgiveness. And for what I have done, I can’t possibly hope for your forgiveness.” Carter wasn’t going to hide from her that it was he who told Lia about Grace’s old injury. But he planned on telling her about it once their relationship became a little stronger. When they get closer.
But that bullhead ruined everything.
Heaving a sigh, Carter rested his hands on her shoulders and said, “I don’t know…What can I do to make you believe me? I really want to start anew with you, Grace-”
“Then kiss me.” Grace suddenly demanded, “If you are really over Lia and want to restart our relationship, kiss me. Right here and now.”
She could see the determination in his eyes but she couldn’t accept those feelings.
How could she?
Years of hatred and abuse. How could she pretend that she had never seen those same eyes directed at her in disgust before?
Conflicted between the two paths, she demanded something that might allow her to come to a decision.
However, as she thought…that look on his face…
“I understand,” she said as she stepped back, “You don’t ha-mmfh?!” Her eyes stretched to their farthest reach when his lips suddenly crashed against hers.
She stumbled back but he followed.
Their lips connected again.
He was reluctant to let go.
It was a kiss.
She was being kissed.
It was her first kiss!
Carter was fierce. He held her arms and sucked on her full lips as if he was not proving his love rather enjoying the kiss.
Her heart pounded so hard, she could barely hear anything else.
His lips were warm, demanding—again and again, they met hers, deeper each time. Her knees weakened as he pulled her closer, his grip tightening around her arms.
His breath mingled with hers.
It wasn’t soft.
It was hungry.
His hand slid up her back, fingers brushing the base of her neck, tilting her head just enough for him to claim more of her. A quiet gasp escaped her, and Carter took it as permission—his tongue brushed against hers, slow and deliberate.
Heat bloomed across her skin.
She clutched the front of his shirt, holding on for balance—maybe even for control—but she knew she’d lost both the moment their lips met.
And Carter…
Carter didn’t look like he planned to stop anytime soon.
She felt like the world had melted away—there was only his touch, his breath, his mouth moving against hers.
Every time she thought the kiss might end, he drew her in again, deeper, rougher, as if he couldn’t get enough.
Her hands slid up his chest, gripping his shoulders. His body was warm, solid—too close, yet not close enough. His fingers tangled in her hair now, tilting her head to the side, and the next kiss was slower… but hotter. More intense. His tongue teased hers, stroking, tasting.
She gasped again, and he groaned into her mouth.
That sound sent a rush down her spine.
She barely noticed when her back brushed the wall—Carter had pushed forward without breaking contact, one hand pressing gently to her waist.
Their bodies were touching now. Her chest rose against his. Her breath was quick and shallow.
And still, he kissed her—like he’d waited years for this.
After what felt like an eternity, he finally released her.
She was gasping.
Carter looked into her deep eyes.
Her face was flushed. Her eyes were still wide in disbelief.
Leaning closer, he whispered, “If this is not enough, then I can kiss you every day until you are satisfied.”
She hurriedly shook her head, “N-No, this is enough.”
*****
Lia couldn’t believe what had just happened.
She was sitting in the infirmary, surrounded by others, her thoughts swirling like a storm.
Bruce lay on the bed nearby, getting treated by the nurse. His wounds were healing, but the shock hadn’t faded from anyone’s face—not even hers.
She wasn’t as anxious as before, but she couldn’t shake the root of it all.
When did Carter become that strong?
She always knew he had a strong mind. That’s what kept him afloat, even when his progress was slow. He never gave up. He clung to his spot in the top class with sheer willpower.
But for him to go against Bruce in a real fight? That wasn’t just unusual—it was unthinkable. They were friends. Bruce had never disrespected Carter, never crossed a line.
And yet, today had unraveled in the most unexpected way.
It began when Bruce, in a rare outburst of rage, targeted Carter.
Why?
Lia made a mental note—she needed to talk to Bruce once he was better.
But what followed… was far more disturbing.
It wasn’t a fight.
Carter didn’t even look like he wanted to be part of it. He seemed distant, disinterested. But the moment he mentioned Grace, something in him snapped.
With a flick—just a flick—he sent Bruce flying.
As if Bruce wasn’t even worth his time.
Bruce, one of the strongest students in the entire academy.
And Carter… just—
“Thinking about his sudden growth too?”
A familiar voice broke her thoughts. She turned to see a red-haired boy with glasses approaching.
Beth, the student council president, is sharp, calm, and probably the wisest among them.
“Yes, I am,” she replied softly.
Beth adjusted his glasses. “Do you think he’s been corrupted?”
“…!!” Lia’s eyes narrowed, a spark of anger flashing through them. “What are you saying?”
Beth simply shrugged. “I mean, can you think of any other explanation for what we saw?”
Lia fell silent. She hated that the thought had crossed her mind too.
But she shook her head. “No. I don’t believe that.”
There was a difference between those who were forced to bear a curse and those who chose the darkness. The former often lost their minds. The latter gained terrifying power.
Beth was suggesting Carter had accepted the darkness on his own.
And that… Lia couldn’t accept.
She knew him. Maybe better than anyone else.
And in her heart, she was sure—Carter would never walk that path.
Beth, however, wasn’t letting it go. “We won’t know unless we look into it.”
She gave him a deadpan stare. “And how do you propose we do that? Knock on his door and ask if he’s been attending any suspicious cult meetings lately?”
He sighed. “I’m not saying that. Let’s observe him during the field trip. If he does anything out of line, we report to the Mage Tower.”
Lia’s throat tightened. “Are you sure? Getting the Tower involved… means this becomes serious. We’d be putting a target on his back.”
Beth frowned, the weight of responsibility showing on his face. “Do you realize that if we don’t, he’s as good as gone? At least this way, there’s still a chance.”
He was right.
Purification didn’t always work—but if the corruption was fresh, there was hope.
Lia didn’t respond.
She didn’t have to.
The silence was the answer.

Okay, this is a little too much. They could have added something that implied he was bad at the kissing but the intensity made that irrelevent. Cause at this point he had assended to be a god.
