Chapter 82: The Abandoned Prince Gets a Chill Down His Spine
For some reason, Ailynn had been on Onigashima.
The moment she saw my face, she quickly pulled her hood over her head and ran off somewhere…
But what had she been doing there?
Well, disappearing out of nowhere and suddenly showing up again had always been her style, so she’d probably appear again sooner or later.
…Though it was a little strange that she wasn’t drunk for once.
Anyway, putting Ailynn aside—
“Honestly… when I heard you were kidnapped, my heart nearly stopped. And yet you…”
“S-Sorry…”
After being rescued—along with the captured beastkin—by the UFO-shaped battleship, I returned to Agardramoon.
And immediately got scolded by Rosemary.
The reason was simple.
Apparently someone reported that after being kidnapped by Ibara…
I ended up getting sandwiched in Suzu’s boobs.
Seriously, who told Rosemary!?
It’s not my fault!!
Suzu’s boobs had the kind of softness that ruins a man!!
Once you get trapped in them, there’s no escaping!
“By the way… where’s Alcarion?”
“Hm. Mother went to Ashuhara for a three-nation summit.”
A summit, huh.
I wasn’t sure if Onigashima could really be called a country, but apparently three factions had gathered at Ashuhara’s palace to discuss what would happen next.
Agardramoon violating their waters.
Onigashima kidnapping Ashuhara’s citizens.
My own kidnapping.
There were a lot of issues to sort out.
It probably wouldn’t turn into a huge crisis, but it wouldn’t be easy either.
…Or at least, that’s what I thought.
When Alcarion returned from the meeting, she revealed something shocking.
“Huh!? Ashuhara and Onigashima are being merged into Agardramoon!?”
“Yes. That was the conclusion after the discussions. Mitama and Tomoe both agreed.”
“I have no objections.”
“I also approve.”
…Well.
That got solved way too easily.
Apparently the reason was that Ibara had prevented the beastkin from being eaten by the Kijin who supported eating them.
The agreement ended up being:
-
- The Kijin who supported eating the beastkin would remain on Onigashima.
-
- Ashuhara would forgive them as long as the damage from the attacks was repaid.
And then there was the issue of Agardramoon violating Ashuhara’s waters.
The solution?
Ashuhara would join Agardramoon.
I wondered if Ashuhara’s citizens would really accept that.
But apparently there was no problem.
“If I give the order, my people will gladly agree.”
Mitama said that with a mysterious smile.
For some reason, the phrase “beauty that can bring down a nation” suited her perfectly.
And so, Ashuhara and Onigashima officially became part of Agardramoon.
Meanwhile, poor Yelona would later nearly die from overwork while adding all those floating islands to the levitation system.
…Though at the moment she was happily sightseeing in Ashuhara and had no idea what awaited her.
That aside—
With Agardramoon at the center and countless floating islands of former Ashuhara surrounding it…
The view must be incredible.
Apparently there were even plans to turn those floating islands into massive aerial fortresses.
Things were getting pretty intense.
A few days later.
“Dear. Would you like some land?”
“That sounds like a suspicious sales pitch.”
While I was flirting with Rosemary, Alcarion suddenly appeared and said that.
“There is a floating island too large for fortress construction and currently unused. A proposal has come up regarding how it should be used.”
“And that is?”
“To build a city for the women you’ve been involved with… the women you will be involved with… and the women who wish to be involved with you.”
“Tell me more.”
Using an entire floating island to build my own harem city…
That sounded absolutely perfect—
But at that exact moment—
I felt a chill run down my spine.
“Reyshel?”
“Eek!? U-Um… yes, Rosemary?”
“Why are you acting so stiff? I’m not angry.”
Rosemary said that with a smile.
But her eyes weren’t smiling at all.
After thinking for a moment, she sighed and gave a bitter smile.
“Let me say this clearly. I will not forgive you for cheating.”
“…Y-Yes. That’s only natural.”
“But if you’re going to get involved with someone… then be serious about it.”
“…Huh?”
W-Wait.
Did Rosemary just say something insane!?
When I blinked in confusion, she smiled.
“You can do as you like. But if you pursue a woman, you must truly love her. You may even have children. But if you abandon them halfway… I will never forgive you.”
“W-Wait… why?”
“Well… actually, I spoke with Lady Tomoe earlier. If a woman falls for you but stays silent because she feels she has to hold back for my sake… I think that would be wrong.”
Ah.
So that was Tomoe’s logic again—that other women wouldn’t break her bond with me.
“But,” Rosemary added.
“?”
“If you only pay attention to other women… I’ll sulk.”
“Wow, that’s cute.”
Her puffed-up cheeks were way too adorable.
I almost jumped her right then and there, but Alcarion interrupted.
She still had something to say.
“So then, the development of that extra floating island will be entrusted to you. Do with it as you please.”
“Oh… okay.”
“And one more thing. About the woman called Farna who was operating behind the scenes on Onigashima.”
“Did you find anything?”
“No. Unfortunately, nothing. All we know is that she is someone my Eyes cannot see.”
“…I see. I guess I’ll have to ask Ailynn about it after all.”
“Then you’re in luck.”
“Huh?”
Right then—
“I’m hooome!! Rosemary, your big sister is back!!”
“…Capture her!!”
“Eh!? W-Wait, what!?”
Since Ailynn returned at perfect timing, I immediately captured her.
Don’t worry about the fact that I tied her up in rope bondage.
“Alright, Ailynn. Tell us everything you were doing on Onigashima!!”
“Huh? What are you talking about? I’ve been drinking my way through the castle town taverns since last month.”
“…Huh?”
“…Huh?”
After questioning her in detail…
Ailynn insisted she had never been to Onigashima.
I thought she was lying.
But even when Alcarion checked with her Eyes, it seemed she truly knew nothing.
I was completely confused.
After a while, Rosemary shared her theory.
“Could it be someone impersonating Sister Ailynn?”
“Hmmm… I don’t know. It didn’t feel like a fake though.”
“Either way, my dear, the woman Farna and the Ailynn look-alike you mentioned must be connected somehow.”
“They might even be allies… or perhaps someone disguised as Sister Ailynn to ruin her reputation—”
Rosemary paused and looked at Ailynn, who was currently drunk out of her mind.
“…No, that’s unlikely. Her reputation was already terrible.”
“Rosemary? Even your big sister might cry if you say things like that.”
“Yoyoyo,” Ailynn fake-cried dramatically.
No matter how much we thought about it, we had no answers.
Eventually, I gave up trying to figure it out.
Instead, I grabbed Rosemary and Alcarion’s boobs.
“Thinking won’t solve anything right now!! When that happens, the best thing is to have sex and clear our heads first!!”
“You just want to have sex…”
“Oh my. It seems Rosemary doesn’t wish to sleep with you, dear. Then I shall keep you all to myself.”
“W-Wait!! I want you too!! Just… um…”
“Rosemary?”
“For the sake of the child in my belly… be gentle, alright?”
So I did my best to go all out without being too rough.
“U-Um… could someone untie me now? Watching my mother and sister getting wild like this is absolute hell.”
Ailynn, now completely sober, spoke with an apologetic expression.
Ah.
Sorry.
I completely forgot about you.
