Chapter 62: The Abandoned Prince Messes Up Again
“Teleport the entire country? Impossible.”
That was the very first thing Yelona said after entering Alcarion’s office and hearing the idea.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little relieved.
“The amount of magic needed for teleportation increases exponentially with the mass of the object being moved. Sending one or two people is one thing, but an entire country? Even with Mother’s full power, that’s out of the question.”
“Hmm… I thought it was a good idea, but I guess it’s not that easy.”
“But still! The very idea of relocating the entire nation to escape enemy encirclement—that’s an entertaining concept! Something about it gets my blood pumping! Isn’t there something more—something even crazier to push me over the edge!?”
Yelona grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me.
Well, not just shaking me—her huge boobs kept slamming into my face with every motion.
She probably didn’t even notice…
Which honestly made it better.
Caught up in the chaos—and not so secretly enjoying Yelona’s chest—I ended up blurting out another wild idea.
Something just as ridiculous as teleporting a country.
“I mean… what if we just lifted the whole country into the air instead? That way, we wouldn’t have to move it anywhere, and with wyverns around, we could still trade with people on the ground, right?”
“““…”””
The room fell completely silent.
Rosemary clapped her hands together.
Alcarion seemed deep in thought.
Wait—hold on. What kind of reaction is that!?
“Sister Yelona, what do you think?”
“…Certainly, levitating the land would require less magic than teleporting it… Materials might be tight though… Maybe if we dismantle the unfinished warships and a few of the rail cannons… Hmm…”
“…It doesn’t sound impossible.”
“Wait—no, it was a joke! Come on, there’s no way that’s actually doable, right!? Yelona? Please tell them it’s impossible!!”
Just the thought that a random comment might actually become reality… was honestly kind of terrifying.
But nobody cared about my anxiety.
After muttering to herself for a bit, Yelona suddenly exploded with magical energy.
“I-It’s possible!! It sounds like a dream, but it’s not impossible!!”
“Then Yelona, begin development immediately. Rosemary, prioritize securing the required materials.”
“Yes!! Heh… You really are something else, Reyshel. To come up with something we’d never even consider… like it’s nothing.”
“Uh… r-right…”
And so, the Agardramoon Nation Levitation Project began in secret.
In my heart, I decided to call it… Project Laputa.
“By the way, Reyshel… there’s something I’d like to discuss with you.”
“Huh? Rosemary wants to talk? To me?”
While Alcarion and Yelona began working out the details of the Project Laputa,
Rosemary and I left the room, since neither of us were much help with technical stuff.
On the way back to our rooms, she suddenly said she had something to talk about.
She seemed a little annoyed at my reaction.
“I’m not as all-powerful as Mother. Of course I have things I struggle with. …If it’s a bother, just say so…”
“N-No!! It’s not a bother at all!!”
To me, Rosemary was someone amazing.
Putting aside the cheat skill I got from the goddess—”Perfect Regeneration”—
I couldn’t think of a single thing I had over her.
And yet, here she was, choosing to rely on me.
Of course I was happy.
So I listened closely to what she had to say.
“It’s about Lime, actually.”
“Lime? Wait—don’t tell me our slime did something again!?”
Lime.
She was the slime I tamed back when I was attending Violetta Academy, in the forest on campus.
After some ridiculous evolutions, she ended up understanding human speech… and even took on the appearance of a beautiful girl.
To be honest, I hadn’t seen her once since returning home.
I did try looking for her, but I couldn’t figure out where she was.
Maybe Rosemary knew where Lime had gone.
“Well, it’s not so much that I know… I got a report about her. Reyshel, this last defense battle was brutal for our country. But despite that, casualties were surprisingly low.”
“Yeah, I heard about that.”
The front lines were apparently horrific.
And yet, compared to the rebel forces, our side suffered less than a tenth of the deaths.
While looking into what had happened on the battlefield, Rosemary came across a certain soldier’s testimony that caught her attention.
“According to him, something squishy appeared out of nowhere near an injured soldier. It stuck itself to the wound… and healed it. I believe Duncan—one of your former subordinates—saw it too. He said it looked almost exactly like your ability.”
“Like my ability?”
“I’ve heard that Lime can reproduce the traits of anything she absorbs, right? Reyshel… has Lime ever absorbed a part of you?”
“…Yeah. She, uh… drained me completely.”
Back at the academy, Lime definitely absorbed some of my bodily fluids during that whole incident.
If she gained a portion of my Perfect Regeneration power from that…
“Lime was helping out, huh?”
“That’s how I see it. Her power is valuable. If possible, I’d like to keep her close. Based on witness accounts, we have a general idea of where she is… but we haven’t been able to pinpoint her exact location.”
“Ah, but if I go, there’s a good chance Lime will show up on her own.”
“Exactly. Would you be willing to help?”
“Yeah! I should be useful once in a while!”
It had been a long time since I’d seen Lime.
I was happy about that—
But at the same time, I couldn’t ignore the trouble she caused back at the academy… so I was also a bit nervous.
I should at least go check on her.
“…Also, um, there’s one more thing…”
“Hm? Something else? If it’s for you, Rosemary, I’ll do anything!”
“N-No, it’s just, well… Would you, um… maybe…”
“?”
“I mean… would you take a bath with me…?”
Blushing, Rosemary mumbled her invitation, fidgeting shyly.
I gave her the biggest smile and nodded.
“Absolutely!!”
And so, I enjoyed a nice, peaceful bath alone with Rosemary like a proper husband and wife—
Before heading out to look for Lime.
Meanwhile, at that very moment――

“Tch. Nothing decent to eat around here…”
Hecton (now female), having been exiled from the country, was surviving in a forest near the border between Agardramoon and one of the newly independent nations.
She hunted animals using magic and gathered wild berries to eat.
A few days passed like that—
Until someone appeared before the now-female Hecton.
“Well, well. You’ve changed quite a bit, haven’t you, Hecton dear?”
“…You again. What do you want?”
The visitor was the same hooded girl who had once contacted Hecton—
The one responsible for turning him into a girl.
“Aww, why the grumpy face? Is it that upsetting being exiled after your beloved mommy got stolen away?”
“Wrong!! I’m pissed off because you showed up!!”
“Ehh~? But thanks to me, you were able to catch your big brother off guard, weren’t you?”
“Guh…”
The girl grinned smugly, teasing Hecton as she spoke.
Sure, things hadn’t gone perfectly—
But it was true that the ambush had worked.
Even though her tone irritated him, Hecton had no choice but to stay quiet.
“So? What do you want? I’m not getting involved in anything else.”
“Oh? Are you sure about that? Don’t you want revenge on the mother who abandoned you? Or your brother who seduced her?”
“…Tch. I’ll be clear—I don’t trust any of you.”
“Huh? Why not?”
“…Are you seriously asking that?”
As the girl tilted her head innocently—
Hecton finally snapped.
“You’re the one who turned me into a girl without asking!! That’s why!!”
“Ehh~? But you’re cute, so what’s the problem? Besides, our organization only has girls. If we had just one boy, he’d totally stand out, you know?”
“LIKE I CAREEEEEEEEEEEE!!”
Hecton’s furious scream echoed through the entire forest.
