Chapter 04: The Abandoned Prince Heals the Empress
The Empress of the Dragoon Empire, now completely bare, was truly breathtaking.
If the word goddess could describe any woman, it would be her.
But the most striking thing about her was her height—she was definitely over two meters tall.
I had never really been into tall women before, but, uh…
Let’s just say I was starting to appreciate it.
Especially since her proportions matched her height perfectly.
Maybe towering height was a trait of dragonkin?
Rosemary was also close to two meters tall, so it wouldn’t be surprising.
“Sir Reyshel? I would appreciate it if you could begin treating my mother—the Empress—soon.”
“A-Ah, y-yeah. I’ll start right away.”
I reached out and placed my hands on the Empress’s body.
Just to be clear—what I was about to do was not inappropriate in any way.
This was strictly medical treatment.
Since curses, like poison, spread throughout the entire body, I had to touch her from head to toe to completely cleanse it.
“I’ll start with the legs…”
I moved from her feet… to her thighs… to her waist… to her ches— I mean, her torso… then her arms…
Little by little, I used Perfect Regeneration to purge the curse from her body.
Nothing about it was difficult.
“Now for the final step…”
I cupped the Empress’s cheeks with both hands.
And the moment I completely removed the curse with Perfect Regeneration—
“Uh… um…”
“…”
“G-Good morning?”
The Empress’s eyes opened, revealing brilliant golden irises that locked onto me.
Our gazes met, and the awkward tension between us grew thick.
And then—before either Rosemary or I could react—she did something completely unexpected.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me in close.
My face was instantly buried in something soft—something massive, even larger than those giant watermelons you see at supermarkets in the summer.
I flailed around, struggling for air, and when I finally managed to tilt my head up from the valley, our eyes met once more.
“So, little one—you are the one who awakened me?”
“Uh, y-yeah. That would be me.”
“I am grateful, little one. Now, allow me to ask—do you currently have a lover or a fiancée?”
“Huh? N-No, not at the moment…”
Caught off guard by her completely out-of-nowhere question, I answered honestly.
The Empress, without even the slightest change in her cool expression, gently stroked my head and declared—
“Then I shall take you as my husband.”
“…Ehh?”
“M-Mother!? W-What are you saying!?”
“Oh, Rosemary, you’re here. I apologize for worrying you. But as of now, I wish to spend some sweet, intimate time with my new husband, so please step out for a while.”
“There are way too many things wrong with this!! And why aren’t you resisting, Sir Reyshel!?”
I mean, come on.
Could you blame me?
If a goddess-tier beauty tells you, “Become my husband,” there’s no way in hell you’re resisting.
Besides, the Empress smelled insanely good.
Now that I thought about it, Rosemary was the Seventh Imperial Princess…
Which meant this stunning older woman had given birth to seven children.
…I felt like I was about to unlock a new preference.
As I got lost in thought, the Empress continued stroking my head, her expression completely unchanged.
“So, your name is Reyshel? A wonderful name. I am Alcarion, Empress of the Holy Dragoon Empire.”
“Why are you introducing yourself like this!? Sir Reyshel, step away from my mother at once!!”
Before I could respond, Rosemary forcefully yanked me out of Empress Alcarion’s embrace.
Damn… I kinda wanted to stay in that warmth a little longer.
But judging by Rosemary’s terrifying glare, I figured I should stop messing around for now.
“Mother, what has gotten into you!? Surely there were other things to discuss first!? And marrying Sir Reyshel—please tell me that was a joke—”
“Rosemary. I have never spoken a joke in my entire life. Taking this boy as my husband is a serious decision—and a final one.”
“A-At least explain how you came to this insane conclusion!!”
“…Hmm, I suppose I should…”
Ah, I know this type.
The kind of person who works everything out in their head but doesn’t explain anything to anyone else, so from the outside, they just seem completely insane.
Looks like Alcarion was one of those people.
“…I was trapped in darkness for so long.”
“Mother?”
“No matter how far I walked, it was endless. Pitch black. I could see nothing. Hear nothing. I had resigned myself to the possibility that my long life was finally at its end. And then—”
Alcarion’s golden eyes fixed onto me.
“A dazzling light broke through the darkness. I walked straight toward it, and before I knew it, I had awakened. And when I opened my eyes… there was this boy.“
“I… see?”
I didn’t really get it, but from the look on Rosemary’s face, she seemed to.
And then, without warning, Alcarion pulled me into another embrace, stroking my head affectionately.
Oof—Getting hugged and petted by a stunning older woman like this…
This was beyond amazing.
And then, Alcarion dropped a bombshell.
“To put it simply, I fell in love with you at first sight. Absolutely smitten. Head over heels. Deeply, hopelessly in love. Completely and utterly obsessed. Smooch smooch.”
“M-Mother, please don’t say that with a straight face!!”
She looked so expressionless and composed that she gave off an almost cold vibe, but…
…Was Alcarion actually kind of hilarious?
“Rosemary, do you object to me taking this boy as my husband?”
“O-Object…? I mean, you two just met!! Shouldn’t you at least get to know each other first—”
“I see. That is a fair point.”
Alcarion gave a small nod, and Rosemary let out a relieved sigh.
…I, on the other hand, was a little disappointed.
“Boy.”
“Ah, yes? What is it?”
“I am the devoted and affectionate type. I have had seven husbands before, but that was in the past. I am now a widow. From this moment on, I swear to love only you. Also, I will be supporting you financially from now on, so you will remain by my side at all times.”
“Uh—wait, what? H-Huh??”
“With that settled, I believe the best way for you to get to know me better is for us to conceive a child immediately. Rosemary, leave the room.”
“MOTHER!?”
She was completely serious about this…
I mean, sure, being desired by a gorgeous woman was any man’s dream, but—
Just then.
“…Hmm.”
Without a word, Alcarion’s gaze shifted to Rosemary.
Her golden eyes began to glow.
“…I see. So that’s how it is. I may have been too hasty.”
“Eh? O-Oh, um, I’m glad you understand—”
“So, Rosemary, you also fell for this boy after he saved you from danger—”
“WAAAH!! WAAAH!! Sir Reyshel!! I shall escort you to the guest chambers!! You are Her Majesty’s savior!! You deserve the finest hospitality!!”
Before I could even process what was happening, Rosemary grabbed me by the collar and dragged me out of Alcarion’s room with sheer force.
As I was being forcibly removed, I faintly heard Alcarion muttering to herself.
“Stealing away the man my beloved daughter admires would be cruel… Or perhaps, it would be best if the two of us shared him. Hmm. I may need to revise the law…”
Her expression remained unreadable, but her golden eyes were dead serious.
Wait—was Rosemary really interested in me?
Getting affection from both mother and daughter… Damn, I might actually be a terrible person.
And so, after many ups and downs, I officially became a guest of Empress Alcarion and was given the highest level of hospitality in the Holy Dragoon Empire.
