May 2.
“Eh? So you won’t be back here for GW then? Un, un …… I understand. Then during the summer vacation. Promise? Eh, un. I’ll make sure to notice you by then. …… I’ll do my best. Un, Bai–Bai, Asaka, do your best too. Ye~s.”
Hanging up the call, Mio collapses onto bed.
“So she can’t come again huh?”
Asaka attends a private girls’ high school in Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a boarding school, and is mainly is a school for only “Young Ladies”. As she doesn’t come back to Shizuoka until there’s a long holiday weekend, she misses seeing Asaka even though they live in neighbouring prefectures.
Just like Mahiru, she has been close friends with her like family, as they were kindergarten seniors. Nope, I guess It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the three of us are already sisters huh.
“One~e.”
My younger sister, Misora, peeks out at the corner of my eyes. Her low-twined hair hung down in front of me.
“Nn, What’s wrong, Misora?”
“Mahiru-chan’s here.”
“Ou~s.”
Mahiru appears from behind Misora. She was dressed casually in a red hoodie and dark denim shorts. And on her left hand was her usual wristband.
“Hey, Mahiru, let’s play.”
“Nmm, Maybe later.”
“It’s a promise.”
“Ou.”
“Onee-chan, you know, you could learn a thing or two from her already.”
“Eh?”
“Wearing such sloppy dress like that, don’t you think it’s really uncool?”
She was wearing a T-shirt with the collar stretched out with a school jersey; what you might call already a loungewear.
“I, I’m at home, so it’s fine!”
“Seriously, because you are like that, you can’t get a boyfriend.”
“Sh–Shut up!”
Misora left the room. While Mahiru comes out and spreads her legs down in front of the table.”
“She is so cute, Misora-chan. I want a little sister, too.”
“She’s been very cheeky lately, she would continue to challenge me at games until she won, and then she would come into my room without permission and read manga or play games.”
“Well, brats are cuter the more cheeky they are. We also had a time like that too. I wonder if Yuu~nii also felt something like this.”
“… Maybe so ……. ah, right, it seems Asaka won’t be coming back again this time.”
“Ah, like seriously? Even though Yuu-nii, finally returned as well, you know?”
Mahiru dropped her shoulders in disappointment.
Just when would the four of them be able to get together again? But first, I have to make Yuu~nii aware of me before I can get started. I’ll definitely make him realize before Asaka comes back to visit us.

May 5th, 11:00 a.m.
In the center of town where the Asama Sengen Taisha Shrine is located. A large-scale festival is held here for three days each in May and November every year.
The May festival is called the Yabusame (horseback archery) Festival, and as the name suggests, it’s a full-scale performance of horseback archery.
<Moon Night Terrace> has also set up a food stand, and naturally, I was there to join them.
This brings back memories.
When I was a child, I used to look forward to this festival twice a year. The wide grounds lined with stalls, and the crowd of people. The size and scale of the festival was far superior to the summer festivals held by our neighborhood associations.
Shaved ice, fruit powder, chocolate bananas, baby sponge cakes, grilled chicken, grilled ayu fish, grilled corn, beef stew, yakisoba noodles, turtles, egg whites, and octopus balls. ……
“Yuu~nii~ii!”
It was a familiar voice, Mahiru.
“O~h, Mahiru,……, wht-th, WHAT ARE YOU DRESSED UP AS ……?”
A blouse with a wide chest opening and a black mini-skirt that exposed her plump thighs. And her arm was adorned with black wristband.
“This much is just normal, Right?”
Mahiru calls out to the beautiful girl beside her from before. She on the other hand was wearing a normal white T-shirt and a black cami one-piece with her long brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.
Even if you call it natural, it sure is quite normal — just that, the eyes of the people around us – especially the guys – are focused on these two beauties.
It seemed that they had already been around the store to some extent, as both of them were holding up vinyl bags filled with various kinds of food.
“Yuu~nii, we bought a bunch of stuff, so let’s eat it together.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes~, this one is a gift for uncle and aunt.”
The beauty from before handed the bags to her father and mother.
“Ara~, thank you!”
“Thank you very much.”
“Well then, Yuu, you can go ahead and take a break first.”
“Sure thing.”
We move to the back of the stall and sit down on the pipe chairs. Since I had been standing in the same spot all morning, my legs felt like sticks.
“Whew~, I’m beat.”
“Here~, Yuu-san.”
The beauty handed me a pack of yakitori.
Incidentally, yakitori bought from festival stores are my favorite food. It is cheap, junky, and oddly satisfying.
“Thank you~, mmumu, so delicious~.”
“You’ll be attending tomorrow, aren’t you, Yuu-san?”
“Well, since it’ll be going on for three days.”
By the way, the Yabusame archery festival will be held on the 4th, 5th and 6th.
“Ah right, will you be seeing horseback archery?”
Mahiru said as she chomped on the doner kebab sitting down.
“It’s already been ten years after all. I’ll have a look. A~h, watch out-watch out, the sauce is dripping Mahiru.”
Fortunately, the dripping sauce landed not on her clothes, but on her open chest.
“Athch~ya~, Yuu-nii, wipe it off.”
“Eh? Wha?”
“I already have both my hands full. Quick, it’s going to drip all over my clothes.”
The reddish-brown sauce was moving it’s way along the white cleavage of her breasts slowly towards her clothes.
“Come on. Quick.”
“O—, o–h.”
This can’t be right. What am I going nervous about? It’s Mahiru, you know. This kind of uninhibitedness really hasn’t changed since the old days after all.
But even as I think this, my hands were shaking awkwardly and not moving at all.
“Ah, God, I’ll wipe it off!”
The beauty, who couldn’t stand watching this, took out a wet wipe from her bag and wiped off the breast of Mahiru.
It wasn’t like I didn’t fee a little dissapointed on myself, but nevertheless, I breathed a sigh of relief.
*
I—in such crowd, what is She even thinking, THIS OPPAI ….
As I thought she is a S*^t after all …… ?
Well, it’s technically hard to imagine that she drooped them on purpose, though. Even though she wore a hoodie the other day that fully protected her décolleté, WHY is she wearing such a revealing outfit just for today!

Yabusame (horseback archery).
It is a martial art in which people shoot arrows and bows at targets while riding horses. The origin of this was believed to be when a Yabusame (horseback archer) named Minamoto no Yoritomo dedicatedly prayed for the longevity of his military fortune and peace in the land.
A special pathway runs east to west through the vast grounds, separated by a wooden fence. In front of that fence, a large crowd of spectators had gathered up to watch the event.
“I guess It’s about to start.”
Just like at the karaoke last time, the two of them were holding my other hand, like flowers in both hands. I wondered if I really deserve to be in such a situation.
I occasionally feel their murderous glances at me from time to time.
“Oh, now that I see it, Mahiru…”
“Nn?”
“You still have that wristband with you, huh.”
On her left hand was a black worn-out wristband that I had given her as a birthday present a long time ago.
“Isn’t that obvious.”
“This brings back memories. Let me wear it for a minute as well.”
“Eh? Ah, no can do.”
Unusually for Mahiru, she refused me almost instantly.
“But just why?”
” ……. I — I just don’t want to.”
“?”
Why is it really no good? I don’t understand a woman’s mind after all.
“There~, look. Here they come, the horses.”
A horse started running from the east. Adorned with a white mane, the horse ran in front of our eyes, swaying gently in the wind as it (TL: the wind) hit us.

“Ah — Mou, even though I hit that target, I didn’t fall down at all. I just don’t understand why.”
“Now, now; Mei, calm down. My mom always said that target shooting is always like a scam. Arre? What’s wrong Misora?”
“Nn, no just. ……”
Haruyama Misora saw something she just couldn’t believe.
It was while she was enjoying the festival with her two friends.
Her elder sister and her friend were going around the festival with a mysterious old man.
And what’s more, while holding his hands on both ends ……
Endless unwanted imaginations ran through her mind.
Arre, could he be her boyfriend?
But still, he’s an old man.
Even Mahiru-nee chan is with her, too. and they don’t seem to be on bad terms.
No, but, just who is …… that guy?
A guy who Misora has no idea about.
Maybe it’s the guy called ‘Enko’ that I often hear about in dramas. Although I don’t really know what it means.
“Suspicious.”
“! I know right, it’s definitely strange that it didn’t fall down from that after all.”
Feeling a kind of uneasiness in her chest, Misora left the side of her friends back there.
