Arizuki returns to his hometown.

“It’s been a long time.”

In late March, when the spring sunlight is pleasant, I – Yuyu Arizuki – got off at the station platform.

It has probably been 10 years since I returned to my hometown from Tokyo. After graduating from high school, I moved to Tokyo.

Although I got a job at a medium-sized food manufacturer, the workload was enormous, and the atmosphere in the company was, to put it mildly, black, dark, and bitter. 

Not even having time to return to my hometown in these past few years. I somehow managed to do my best with my motivation during my youthful days. However, six months ago my health and body broke down due to immense work pressure and so, I was able to get a leave for 6 months due to that.

I was detained by my company. They refused to let me take a leave. However, I resigned. I believed that this was a good opportunity to help me reset my life for the better. 

Therefore, I decided to come back to my hometown after a decade. 

And following it was—

“Kyaa~.”

“Ah, I apologise.”

I bumped into a high school girl. To be precise, she was the one who bumped into me but considering the social hierarchy of an unemployed old man and a high school girl, I would definitely come out to be the one at fault. 

“I am truly regretful.”

“No, it was my fault. I was looking the other wa–… Nn?”

Her clear, big, tea-coloured eyes stared at me. It was as if I was about to get trapped in them.

She is a transcendent beauty would surely be an adjective attributed to a girl as beautiful as her. 

Her long, brown hair was tied back and hanging down from her left shoulder. She has clear white skin and soft peach-coloured lips… she is a sight to behold.

However, spending too much time with an unknown high-school girl can eventually lead to death on social terms.

“Umm—”

“Well then, I’ll be on my way now.”

Trying to run away as fast as possible, I hurried to the ticket gate of the train station.

My heart was still pounding heavily. It doesn’t just seem to stop.

How long has it been… It’s been years since the last time I saw him. It was 3 days after his graduation ceremony. 

“It’s been a decade since then.”

Judging by the expression on his face, he doesn’t seems to recognize me at all.

Although, I recognised him immediately.

Staring at the crowd in which Arizuki Yu had disappeared, with Miya letting out a soft sigh.
