Tanaka-san Is Cuter Than the Main Heroine - Chapter 03: Tanaka-san Has Big Boobs!
Chapter 03: Tanaka-san Has Big Boobs!
Alright, let’s start with a very important question:
What do high school boys like the most?
That’s right—cute girls.
Pretty faces, sweet vibes—the whole package.
But you know what instantly boosts a girl’s popularity even more?
Boobs.
Yep, big boobs.
Even a girl with a plain face suddenly gets a fan club if she’s rocking a serious chest.
Which means…
If a girl’s got both a pretty face and big boobs?
That’s just game over. She’s the final boss.
“Dang, Fuyusara-san’s chest is bouncing like crazy today.”
“All hail the goddess…”
“Guhah! That glare she just gave me… Perfection!”
“Ahh man, being gorgeous and stacked? Fuyusara-san’s a legit gift to mankind.”
Case in point: right now, during our endurance run in PE,
The one getting the loudest cheers is none other than the biggest-busted of the Four Seasons Princesses—the black-haired beauty herself, Reno Fuyusara.
Granted, she’s not exactly thrilled.
She’s got serious guy-phobia and looks super annoyed,
But I mean—what can you do?
You take a tall, cool beauty with long black hair and glasses, then give her a gravure model-tier chest?
Of course guys are gonna stare.
Back in my first year, I was right there with them—just another dude in the background ogling from the sidelines.
But not anymore.
That’s all ancient history.
My eyes are locked on someone else now.
And unlike the other guys… I’m looking in a very different direction.
“Haa… haa… this is… tough…”
That’s right. Tanaka-san.
My eyes were completely locked onto her.
While everyone else in class was glued to the Shikihime girls during PE, they missed what truly mattered.
Because the truth is—
Tanaka-san’s chest is actually bigger than Fuyusara’s.
Every time she pounded the ground during her run, her massive breasts bounced with such force it felt borderline illegal.
Seriously, it was breathtaking.
And her face?
Bright red from all the running and effort?
That was just straight-up erotic.
Too perfect.
Why…?
Why is no one noticing how insanely attractive Tanaka-san is?
It made no sense.
This is exactly the kind of busty beauty you guys go feral for!
So why aren’t you cheering for her like your lives depend on it!?
“Go-Go, Fuyusara-san!”
“Haruno-san! One more lap! You got this!”
No matter how loud I screamed in my head, the guys stayed hopelessly obsessed with the main heroines.
Not a single voice was raised for Tanaka-san.
So I did it.
“Do your best, Tanaka-san!”
I shouted loud enough to cut through all the noise.
No way I was letting those fools drown her out.
And then—
She heard me.
Tanaka-san turned toward my voice, eyes wide in surprise.
And when our eyes met, she smiled—just a little—and mouthed a soft “yes.”
I died.
I completely melted on the spot.
And from that moment until the very end of her run,
I cheered for her with everything I had.
Honestly, I wanted to run up and tell her how amazing she was,
But the PE teacher smacked us on the back with a, “That’s enough cheering, get back in line!”
So, yeah. Had to give up with tears in my eyes.
(But yeah, thinking about it now—cheering is one thing, but actually walking up to her at the finish line? That would’ve been way too creepy. Seriously.)
Still, I managed to cool my head while getting ready for my own run, so maybe it was a good thing I held back in the end.
If I had gone to meet her afterward,
Tanaka-san might’ve realized I liked her.
And more importantly—
I’m not exactly model material.
If some average dude like me suddenly barged into a group of girls, no one’s gonna be thrilled.
Best case, they’d be confused.
Worst case, I’d come off as that guy—the one who just loves girls a little too much.
It would’ve wrecked my image.
And if that caused Tanaka-san’s opinion of me to crash and burn?
Yeah… that’d be a tragedy.
…What?
You’re asking if it’s okay to stare at her chest?
Idiot!
Looking at boobs is a natural male instinct—it’s fine!
Besides, I was at least tactical about it.
I always timed it right, kept an eye out for anyone watching.
So yeah—totally above board.
As I was making excuses to myself in my head, “Piii~~!”
The whistle blew, signaling the start of our endurance run.
I snapped back to reality and focused.
Time to run.
I immediately broke away from the group.
Not trying to show off or anything—it’s just that, in this world, I happened to have pretty solid athletic stats.
Even though I was just a regular go-home-after-school guy in my past life, my fitness scores here were about on par with the soccer and baseball club guys.
Plus, lately I’d been working out and going on morning runs, all because I wanted Tanaka-san to think I was cool.
So yeah—keeping up a fast pace like this?
No problem at all.
“Haa, haa… Nakayama-kun, you’ve gotten way faster!”
“Haa… well, I’ve been working out lately, so yeah.”
The ones keeping up with me were two guys from the track team—and one more person:
Kaisei Natsuse, the handsome harem protagonist himself, and the older stepbrother of one of the Shikihime, Rino Natsuse.
Just like me, Kaisei was part of the go-home club and a former shut-in.
But thanks to the blessings of the author (a.k.a. God), his athletic stats were absurd—despite never having trained a single day in his life.
“Kaisei, you got this!”
“Pick up the pace! You’ll never get first like that!”
“Go, Natsuse-kun! You’re amazing!”
Yeah. That’s right.
The girls were cheering him on like crazy.
“Alright, I’m gonna speed up.”
“—What!? You’re going even faster!?”
Even though we’d been classmates since our first year and got along decently, it still ticked me off that he was soaking up all that attention from the girls like it was no big deal.
I didn’t want to feel miserable every time I passed by a group of girls, so I pushed myself even harder to pull ahead of him.
“Haa… haa… this sucks.”
But because I sped up too much midway, my lungs were burning by the final lap.
I was already hitting my limit.
I glanced behind me.
Kaisei and the others were about three meters back.
If I slowed down now, even just a little, they’d definitely pass me.
(I mean, it’s not like I have to get first place, right? Who cares.)
It wasn’t like this was some kind of official test or competition.
It was just a regular old PE class. No real reason to go all out.
That’s what I told myself as I started to give up—
“Nakayama-kun, you can do it! Just one more lap!”
—when I heard that voice.
“!!”
(No way I can let Tanaka-san see me looking lame!)
Her voice flipped a switch inside me.
The burnout I’d been feeling instantly turned into full-on fire.
I dug my feet into the ground and pushed my pace even harder.
Even though I had zero stamina left, even though my legs felt like jelly—
I kept running on nothing but pure pride.
I couldn’t let the girl I liked see me fall apart.
“DAAAASHAAAA!!”
With that final war cry, I somehow managed to power through the last lap.
And the second I crossed the finish line, I collapsed to the side like a dead fish.
My lungs were on fire.
My ribs were killing me.
And my mouth tasted like blood.
But emotionally?
I felt amazing.
(Thank god I didn’t embarrass myself in front of Tanaka-san!!)
I was beyond relieved that I didn’t completely crash and burn in front of her.
While I lay there, trying to catch my breath and staring up at the sky—a shadow suddenly blocked the light.
“Good job out there, Nakayama-kun.”
“You were awesome out there~ Nakayama!”
“Beating the track team? That’s wild!”
An angel had descended.
Tanaka-san stood there, looking down at me with the sun behind her, a couple of her friends tagging along as she came to cheer me up.
“Haa… haa… t-thanks…”
I almost cried from the sheer joy.
But I knew if I actually let the tears fall, I’d 100% come off as a weirdo, so I just raised a hand and gave a weak little wave.
“Hey, hey, what got into you today?”
I guess it was kind of weird, seeing me go that hard.
Tanaka-san’s friend, Norimizu-san, gave me a curious look as she asked the question.
“Natsuse… just… really got on my nerves.”
The moment I answered honestly, the two girls beside Tanaka-san let out an unfiltered snort.
“Ahaha! Okay, I get it now. Yeah, I guess it would bug any guy to see the Shikihime cheering him on like that.”
“Kyaahaha, I always thought you were super mature, Nakayama, but turns out you’ve got a childish side too!”
“A-Ah, um, I’m sorry… if it was my cheering that bothered you…”
They must’ve thought I was just like the other guys, desperate to get on the Shikihime’s good side.
So the two girls teased me with amused grins, while Tanaka-san looked apologetic, as if she’d done something wrong.
But they were way off.
I didn’t run because I cared about the Shikihime.
I pushed myself because I wanted to look good in front of Tanaka-san.
Her cheer meant more to me than anything else in the world.
“No, really… I was super happy.”
Even though I was still out of breath and barely able to string words together,
I made sure to tell her how I felt.
“I-I see… Then I’m glad.”
Tanaka-san blinked in surprise, then slowly smiled—relieved and happy.
“Alright everyone, don’t forget to write down your times!”
The PE teacher’s voice rang out across the field, and just then, Hamaguchi-san—Tanaka-san’s other friend—spoke up with perfect timing.
“Nakayama. Where’s your paper? You’re clearly not getting up any time soon, so we’ll fill it in for you.”
“Thanks… I left it over there, by the bench.”
“Got it! Let’s go, Hama-chan, Ta-chan.”
“Yes. Please rest up for now, Nakayama-kun.”
Still lying there like a half-dead zombie,
I gratefully took them up on the offer and watched as Tanaka-san and her friends walked off to get the paper.
(Tanaka-san… she’s an actual angel. She’s cute, thoughtful, and even has great taste in friends. Absolute perfection.)
While I admired her from behind like some humble disciple,
I suddenly noticed Tanaka-san jogging back toward me—this time holding the form in her hands.
“Here you go, Nakayama-kun.”
“Thanks.”
I sat up and took the sheet from her.
When I thanked her, she responded with a modest smile.
“No, no. It was nothing, really.”
I figured she’d just go back to her friends after that.
But for some reason… she didn’t.
Instead of walking away, she stood there awkwardly, her eyes darting around and her fingers fidgeting.
Then—like she’d finally mustered every ounce of courage she had:
“U-Um!”
“Hm?”
“I forgot to say it earlier, but… I-I was really happy when you cheered for me too.”
“Oh yeah? That’s good to hear.”
So that’s what it was.
She wanted to thank me for cheering her on.
Honestly, with how straightforward Tanaka-san usually was, I didn’t get why she seemed so nervous about it.
And just as I tilted my head, wondering—
The real reason hit like a meteor.
“A-Also, I know it’s probably just a guy thing, so I understand, but… um, getting stared at there is kind of embarrassing, so if you could maybe, y’know… not do that from now on… it’d help.”
“…Huh?”
I’m doomed.
Apparently…
Tanaka-san totally noticed me staring at her chest.
As she stood there, cheeks flushed and gently scolding me, my brain completely froze.
“But! That doesn’t mean I hate you or anything, Nakayama-kun! It’s not like that at all! It’s just… it’s kind of embarrassing, you know? And, um… someone like me—well, Fuyusara-san’s are nicer in shape and stuff, so I thought maybe… you’d be better off looking at hers instead. That’s all. Really! I’m sorry!”
And just like that, Tanaka-san spun around and dashed back to her friends, leaving me standing there in stunned silence.
(I messed uuuuuuuup!!)
I stayed frozen, head in hands, watching her go as my soul quietly crumbled.
