Stuck as a Villain! - Chapter 197- Unpleasant future

Being embraced by the man she has ever allowed herself to love. To be encased in his arms and have his warm body pressed against hers…Lara couldn’t think whether there was anything better than this sensation.

She believed that her master loved her. She has seen his passion for her and the way he wants to keep her safe from all worldly dangers. However still, compared to his fiancées she was nothing. In these dire times, when the whole Dukedom was engaged in preparation for a tremendous battle and her master had his responsibilities as well, she believed that her master wouldn’t be able to spare some time for her.

As a maid and someone who has been with Seth for long, Lara was fine with it. However, as a woman…she indeed was quite lonely.

So, one could guess, how elated she must be to be suddenly told how her master lied to his family so he could spend time with her.

Lara was above cloud nine.

“Master…”

“You missed me?”

Hearing his question, Lara didn’t think twice before nodding her head docilely as she followed her master’s lead and sat on his lap once her master was seated on the bed.

“Ah….” A soft sigh leaked her lips as she felt her master’s warm lips kissing her nape.

“Why does it seem you have become more beautiful? Or is it that, I was just too desperate to see my Lara?”

Butterflies swirled in her stomach hearing ‘my Lara’ before she lowered her eyes and turned to look at him meekly,

“M-Master has become more charming as well…” Although only some weeks have gone by since they bid farewell, in her eyes, her master has become more mature and endearing for her.

Seth smiled as he cupped her cheek and replied, “I am delighted to hear that.”

After a short pause, Lara asked, “Young master…Lady Haruka was quite worried for you as well. She has visited the mansion quite a few times already.”

The mansion Lara said was the one near Pristine Academy.

Thinking about her, Seth couldn’t help sighing.

He left her side abruptly since he had to look for Laila. Although she tried to hide it, Haruka seemed troubled at that time. She was the person whom Seth had loved for the longest time, but she was the one whom he had ignored the most as well.

Haah, there was a lot of room for him to grow as an ideal partner.

“Don’t worry, my lord. If you explain things to her, Lady Haruka will surely understand your circumstances and forgive you for leaving her alone.”

“In that case, I should be apologizing to you as well. After all, I left you without any prior notice and even forbade you from accompanying me.”

Lara blushed at that before she rapidly shook her head, “Nothing like that…”

“Lara.” Hearing his voice she knew there was no point in lying. Especially to a person who can listen to her thoughts,

“I-I was a little bit disgruntled to be left alone…after all, I have always accompanied my master in the past. ”

It was true. Lara has always been by his side regardless of how cruel and ungrateful of a person he was in the past. She has seen him going through phases that even his mother couldn’t get to see. She has fought alongside him and healed him on various occasions.

Lara was like a family to him.

“I apologize Lara…for what I have done and for what I am going to do.”

Lara scrunched her brows before she asked, “Master…are you going somewhere again?”

Seth sighed before he laid down on the bed and positioned Lara’s head on his chest.

The brunette maid didn’t get flustered being intimately hugged by her master, given the weighing stress on her consciousness. For once, she didn’t want to hear his following words…but that would make her even more anxious.

“In some days…probably ten, I along with some other people you know, will be summoned at some place for some special training. How long that training would last and how tough it would be, remains unclear.”

Lara frowned at that before asking, “But master… from what I could sense from your Soul, you already are nearing your limit. And truth be told, it is no mere joke to become a Tier One at your age. Even I couldn’t reach the limit of my tier despite being in the profession for ten years.”

Lara served in the army before joining Valarie and serving her first son as a personal maid. She was top of her batch and, thus was appointed for such an important job. However, she knew, by now her young master was far stronger than she was.

She was unsure how he gained such strength in so little time but she was not bothered about it either. If anything, Lara felt proud that her young master was one of the strongest beings in the nation.

There were only three Tier 1 individuals in Ranghaur, and now her young master was also one.

However…to think he still needs training to become stronger?

“Lara…the danger I am talking about, far surpasses any tier or limitations. I have fought one of those beings who would soon run amok across nations and turn the whole place into hell.”

With a sigh, he added, “Even Mother wouldn’t be able to defeat three of those beings all alone.”

“Eh?!”

Lara was beyond horrified.

She has seen Valarie’s strength. That lady holds the capability to turn a mount into rubble with just her thought. She was one of the scariest and strongest beings alive. No one dares go against her, giving her a sadistic personality and overwhelming strength.

There was a reason why she was the sole female to be a ruling figure across Ranghuar.

And to think, even Valarie wouldn’t be able to keep things under her control…in Lara’s head, there was no future of a world where Lady Valarie gets defeated.

“Now you understand, Lara? I need to improve…after all, I have many people to protect.” The way he held her firmly told Lara, many things which he didn’t verbalize.

She couldn’t help but smile and delve her face deeper into his chest.

Regardless of whatever happens, Lara will always be by her master’s side.
