“You’re late! What were you doing?”

As soon as our eyes meet, I hear an angry voice from Hoshikawa. I don’t know why is he angry because I should’ve been on time, but it’s good to see him acting as usual. He is well dressed in his casual clothes, and the paper bag he is carrying looks fancy. The amount of money that we are supposed to spent had been specified beforehand, so it is unlikely to have something expensive inside it, but since it’s Hoshikawa, there may be something for Kisaragi inside of it. Maybe some kind of high-grade tangerines, or some kind of expensive tangerine candies? As if he knows his thoughts are being read, he looks at me dumbfoundedly. I thought something might have really happened.

“What’s wrong?”

He holds out his smartphone in front of him.

“Haven’t you seen this?”

I can see a familiar group message on it. The screen is showing messages discussing about the Halloween party. I look at the date of the message and notice it is sent today, there are some messages and images that I haven’t seen before.

“I haven’t seen it.”

“Then read it now, read it fast.”

“Wait a minute.”

‘Sorry! We both are getting ready, and there’s a bit of a mess, so I can’t pick you guys up ☆ I’ll send a map to my house, so please do your best to get here♡’

The map sent with the sparkling messages is surprisingly hand drawn. I know for sure that Kisaragi isn’t the one who wrote the messages, but as for the map, it’s hard to say either way. Since it’s really close from school, it seems that we can manage to get there on our own.

“So, why are you angry?”

“I thought Usami Hokuto is the type of person who would show up ten minutes before his appointment, but I am disappointed.”

“…it’s hard to tell if your expectations are low or high.”

Normally, I would have done so, but this time because I’m five minutes early because I had spent so much time daydreaming. But still, I was on time, I don’t want to waste my time here arguing with him so I’ll just apologize.
