She is Reading My Thoughts Again Today - Chapter 15
Don’t be Afraid
“Why are you avoided by others in the first place?”
“Well, I also don’t know why.”
She seems agitated of my question. Combined with the unpleasant quiet atmosphere inside the classroom, I knew there was something going on. I know she won’t tell me anything about it even if I continued the conversation. So, I decided to stop talking about it and change the topic of our conversation.
“Where do you eat lunch usually?”
“On the staircase to the rooftop.”
“That sounds really uncomfortable…”
Then she told me to not worry about it, she said she isn’t bothered by it and she is completely fine. Even so, I can’t help to be curious. It seems that I need to find out about her problem from another perspective. She doesn’t ask me to help her or anything, but I just feel like that I need to know about it.

“Why do you think Kisaragi is being avoided by the whole school in the first place?”
“You said something weird out of the blue again, what’s going on?”
“I know there are rumors of her being able to read other people’s thoughts. But I don’t see how a rumor like that could make her being avoided by the whole school.”
I think it makes sense if people are interested or curious of her ability. But I can’t make a sense of people avoiding her because of that rumor.
This feeling. I know that it is none of my business, but at least I want to know why people is avoiding her.
“I asked her about it, and I knew there was something going on, but she brushed it off.”
“I see. That’s why you came to me.”
I looked into his eyes seriously, and Mikinori is looking at me with a serious expression as well.
“Can’t I ask you about it?”
“Nope, its fine. It’s not often that Hokuto relies on me.”
I bowed deeply to my precious friend. Mikinori growled in a small voice, spinning his fingertips as he was thinking about it.
Eventually, his fingertips stopped spinning.
“Well, you don’t want anyone to read your thoughts, do you?”
I’m already used to my thoughts being read, so I need to think about it for a while before I answer that question.
“What are you thinking about when you’re talking to me?”
“About the topic we are talking.”
“Then, what will you think about when the person you love is right in front of you?”
“Nothing.”
“At this point, I’d be happy to have a relationship with a two-dimensional character.”
He reminded me of a character from a dating simulator game I played last night. There was a really good scenario with a lovely sister character.
“Maybe they will think of the person they love.”
“Be more specific about it.”
…when he put it that way and think about it, I’m sure people wouldn’t want their thoughts being read by the person they like.
“I don’t know what are you thinking right now, but I’m sure you don’t want me read to your thought right? Your thoughts being read is equivalent to being exposed.”
That being said, I remembered she used ‘fuusaa’ at every opportunity she could to tease me. It’s extremely annoying and embarrassing and I really wish she would doing it.
But if most people think that way, what about the people that confess to Kisaragi?
“I heard that there are people who confess to Kisaragi, what about those people? What were they thinking about?”
“Maybe they didn’t believe the rumor? Or maybe they want Kisaragi to know everything about them.”
“…I don’t agree about it, but maybe people have different preferences than mine.”
“That’s what I’m saying.”
Every person has their own preferences, no one will ever be able to completely understand each other.
“Well.”
Mikinori got up from his chair and picked up his bag.
“I don’t think we’re going to get an answer to that question by discussing it here, so I’ll leave the rest here to you. I’ll look into more details when I get home.”
“Thankyou.”
While he was standing up looking at me, he bowed and said.
“You’ll help me to put pen to paper next time, won’t you!?”
I was shocked by what he said that I looked up to him. In front of me was the face of an ordinary nice young man, his face is so ordinary that I could hardly believe he was drawing doujinshi. I had no choice but to nod.
(Doujinshi doesn’t always mean h*ntai ya bast*rds, in here it means self-published work such as novel or manga)
An unexpected give and take. Well, I don’t actually mind helping him, but my head hurts when I think of the required penning process.
