ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
Thanks to the massive amount of food distributed, supplies had finally become plentiful. That was only possible because I had scattered around an absolutely terrifying amount of food.
Without my nearly inexhaustible funding from the “Purchase” cheat, this would have been impossible. In just the past few days, the amount of money I had used easily surpassed billions. Well, if I was feeding an entire city with tens of thousands of people, of course it would.
Even so, almost nothing had actually been taken out of the city. What had disappeared were rubble and scrap material, which meant things were actually getting cleaned up.
Debris like unwanted wood fragments and stone from the city’s reconstruction work was first gathered at my place. Rather than forcing it to be used as kindling, it was faster if I bought it and exchanged it for firewood. Nobody lost out—it was the spirit of mutual aid.
Even failed materials like botched cement mixtures had components like water, gravel, or other resources from this world that I could “buy,” so they still turned into plenty of money. So at present, it was practically as if I could produce unlimited supplies. And if we ran into trouble, someone could just use water magic to give me more source material.
“Alright, next! Keep handing them out.”
“You got it, leave it to me, Kai-niichan!”
I kept producing boxes of supplies one after another for Etna, Pirika, and the volunteer residents. We still couldn’t stop the actual distribution work, of course. After all, until the next crops in the grain producer regions ripened, there was no food anywhere.
Lately, though, more and more people wanted to bake their own bread, so I sometimes produced sacks of flour directly. Orders for raw ingredients, including vegetables, had increased. That probably meant people now had enough leeway to cook for themselves. A good sign.
Cooking itself was work—labor. If they had the energy for that, it was the first step toward recovery. And not just artisans—when even residents and farmers had that kind of margin, it meant the city’s recovery was steadily advancing.
The real issue was when to switch back from in-kind distribution to a monetary economy. Well, that could wait until the next crops were harvested. If it didn’t work out, the frontier margrave would surely come up with something.
“People have started to get their energy back. The city’s work is running again.”
“That’s thanks to you, niichan! There’s not a single guy collapsing from hunger anymore!”
Etna praised me.
Thanks for that.
If anyone had been collapsing from hunger, all I’d have needed to do was bring them the food I produced anyway.
“Hey, Etna! We fixed up your house!”
“For real, Master Carpenter!? You’re a lifesaver!”
From the northern craftsmen’s district, a group of carpenters came walking over. They had apparently been repairing buildings throughout the city. Etna thanked the female master carpenter.
“Thanks, Master Carpenter. I was worried about Etna’s place.”
“Nah, sorry on our side. Restoring the craftsmen’s district came first, so the east quarter got delayed. That cement stuff, right? Thanks to that, we’re getting it done!”
Apparently they were pouring cement into molds, packing it square, and using it as building stone. I see. That certainly worked. Basically the same as block walls back on Earth.
They must have realized it was more convenient to form it into brick-sized pieces than to treat it as single slabs. That way, leftover material could be reused, and if they ran short, they could grab more from elsewhere.
“Thanks. Want to eat something, Master Carpenter?”
“Sure do, I’m starving! With repair work one after another like this, I gotta eat multiple times a day to keep going! You lot, dig in too!”
“Yes, boss!”
The group of female carpenters bowed their heads and lined up in front of me. This female master carpenter was hooked on hamburgers. I’d once heard her say she wanted to recreate Burger Kaiser’s charcoal-grilled beef using monster meat.
But chain store sauces—except for a few—were secret recipes. Companies guarded them closely. Sometimes you’d find a publicly shared version, but usually, they never leaked. Still, I could whip up a decent soy sauce–style version.
“Oh, this, this! I’ll dig right in!”
The Master Carpenter saw the hamburger, grabbed it with both hands, and bit into it. I thought she could at least wash her hands, but she’d taken off her gloves, so it wasn’t too bad.
And anyway, it was wrapped in paper.
“Phaah, this is it! And these potatoes on the side—this salty taste hits the spot! Just what a sweaty body needs!”
The Master Carpenter and her crew of female carpenters were covered in sweat and mud. They were a crew of muscular construction-site women, but the thick scent of their sweat radiated a strange sort of sensuality. Some of them had even stripped off their tops, letting their breasts bounce openly.
“What’re you staring at, Kai-niichan?”
“Well, at bouncing boobs, obviously. Seeing this many nipples lined up so boldly is something else.”
At my words, Etna tilted her head with a puzzled look. It seemed she didn’t even have the concept of a man being aroused by women’s chests.
Well, of course—this world’s men tended to prefer flat chests over big ones. Which meant, by those standards, Etna was a beautiful girl.
“So then, is it okay if I strip too? I’m kinda self-conscious, so I’ve been hiding it.”
“We shared a night together, didn’t we? As long as it doesn’t interfere with guarding, you can relax however you like.”
When I said that, Aisha suddenly yanked off her tight, strained underwear. In her case, it was less “big breasts” and more “half pectoral muscle.” Still, there were probably plenty of men on Earth who’d want to be sandwiched between those pecs. The world was a big place after all.
“Oh right, wanna use this?”
I pulled out a set of sports towels from the mall. They were high-quality, made from ultra-absorbent material with a great texture. When the female carpenters wiped their sweat with them, they were shocked by the comfort.
“What the—so light, but it wipes the sweat right off and leaves you refreshed! This feels amazing! You all should try!”
When the Master Carpenter said that and started handing them out, the whole crew stripped off their tops and began wiping themselves. It was a sight you’d sometimes see at construction sites. But in this female-dominated world, it was something else entirely.
When over a dozen female carpenters all stripped down at once and started wiping sweat off their hairy bodies, the atmosphere got hot. No matter where I looked—right, left—it was nothing but sweaty, glistening boobs. Every single one of them looked utterly content as they wiped themselves.
“Y’know, Aisha, I feel like Kai shouldn’t be allowed to see this kind of sight.”
“Yeah, you’re right Aisha-nee-chan. Look at him, drooling over there. Why’s he able to make that face just from seeing women’s chests and armpits?”
Aisha and Etna sounded exasperated. Couldn’t be helped—I was excited. Sweaty, glistening boobs and casually sprouting body hair were unbelievably erotic.
“Shouldn’t it be the other way around? If Kai stripped naked, we’d be the ones getting excited.”
“See, Aisha-neesan, he’s not even listening.”
Sorry, but I was too busy burning this scene into my memory. You’d never get a sight like this—a crew of construction women in this state—equivalent back on Earth.
Other worlds really are amazing.
Every time they wiped themselves, their breasts bounced and jiggled with overwhelming force. The air was thick with women’s scent and heat.
