The birds chirping announced the arrival of the morning.

To be honest, I do wish I had private time to clear my impure thoughts away but I have a more important duty in line. I need to protect everyone. I won’t be able to protect everyone if my mind is occupied with others… Things. In other words, I need to discard my impure thoughts now somehow. 

Sitting cross-legged on the floor, I decided to meditate. I focused my mind, trying to mimic a monk meditating underneath a waterfall.

The question swirled in my tongue. 

“Why is everyone here………”

The three of them seemed to have brought their futons and pillows to my place, even though they should be sleeping in the other area of the house. 

“If it’s like this then there’s no point in me sleeping in the kitchen…..”

Nana was gripping onto me like a vice. Her soft body was wrapping around me. 

I don’t have any other choice I guess. Time to give up.
