Kirishima shouted but King Ice Dragon ignored her. The dragon clutched Aranami tight in its hand and flew into the air.

“Aranami! Stay strong! I’m coming to rescue you!”

Kirishima had completely lost her composure.

Kirishima held her arms out and fired her magma toward King Ice Dragon. Facing Kirishima head on, the dragon opened its mouth wide and fired out some sort of blue beam from its mouth. The red beam and blue beam clashed. 

“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Kirishima mustered all of her strength. However, the gap between the reality and her assumption was too great. 

Absolute zero.

The moment their beams collided, the blue beam from King Ice Dragon immediately freezed Kirishima’s magma. Soon, the ice would be reaching Kirishima as well. 

“N-No… Impossible… There’s no way my magma…. I never lost to an ice attribute monster before…..”

The reality finally dawned on her. 

But… It was already too late. 

I used body strengthening and jumped in to help Kirishima. I grabbed her and moved away to escape from the King Ice Dragon’s attack range.

I need to do something before King Ice Dragon goes on a rampage and hurts the innocent people. I need to come up with a plan….

I put Kirishima down and shouted at her.

“I’m going to take the dragon down so stop getting in the way!”

Hearing how cold my tone was, Kirishima tensed. Her eyes widened before she started crying.

She asked.

After making sure Kirishima would stop trying to attack King Ice Dragon, I headed towards the still frozen Sumida River. There, the dragon was glaring at Aranami, who was groaning in pain. It seemed the dragon was ready to kill him.

The dragon fired its blue beam toward me.
