Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V4 Chapter 51
Chapter 51: “Why Is the God of Thunder Here?” ①
“Owww! That hurt! If I weren’t me, I’d be dead right now, you know?!”
Leviathan yanked the holy spear and demonic sword out of his body, pouting as if he hadn’t just been stabbed through the head and stomach.
Meanwhile—
Koume and Ginko clicked their tongues in annoyance.
As expected from one of the Seven Deadly Sins, Leviathan was on a whole other level.
Any normal high-ranking demon would’ve been dead on the spot after taking those hits—Koume’s spear of light, capable of obliterating demons.
And a demonic sword from another world, meant to inflict fatal wounds.
And yet, this guy was perfectly fine.
That alone was proof—Leviathan wasn’t just some run-of-the-mill demon.
“This bastard’s been like this since forever! Every time I find something I like, he just has to stick his nose in it!”
“That’s just a coincidence! And besides—you’ve always had stuff I wanted too, Koume-tan!”
“Grrrrrrrrrrr.”
“Grrrrrrrrrrr.”
“Uhhh, can we not devolve into wild animal noises, please?“
Ginko sighed, watching as Koume and Leviathan glared and growled at each other.
She didn’t know if they were childhood friends or what—
But one thing was clear—
They had history.
“…But wow, Natsuki, you really attract trouble. And now, it’s a trap demon from the Seven Deadly Sins? Hahaha, you must be blessed~ But real boys and traps, huh…? Slurrp— oh my, Ginko-chan, how improper~”
Dabbing at the drool on her lips with a handkerchief—Ginko was suddenly hit with an overwhelming urge…
To start working on a new doujin.
“Hey, hey! Koume-chan! Ginko-san! Nancy-san! Look! Look! I got Thor’s autograph!”
“If my signature brings you such joy, then I shall gladly sign as many as you like!”
Natsuki, who had retreated to the kitchen earlier, was now grinning from ear to ear, holding up an autograph board while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with none other than the God of Thunder himself—Thor.
“…A buff Norse god and a trap demon? Now that’s a pairing I could work with~.”
Ginko, completely lost in her fantasies, was promptly ignored. Meanwhile, Koume finally turned away from Leviathan to face Natsuki and the others.
“Okay, I get that you’re excited about getting Thor’s autograph… But hello—You’ve got Lucifer, Leviathan, and even freaking Grey standing right in front of you!”
She wasn’t wrong. Sitting right here were some of the biggest names in demonology—The literal Lucifer and Leviathan together in one place.
Meanwhile, at school, Natsuki had Tsukuyomi watching over him.
And just a few days ago, he had personally met both Amaterasu and Susanoo.
Not to mention, he had already crossed paths with Samael and Mammon—two of the most infamous demons in existence.
Yet, despite all that—
He was fanboying over a Norse god that wasn’t even the main god of his own pantheon.
For Koume, that was a little insulting.
“Wait… Do Norse gods and GOD-based pantheons not get along?”
“It’s not that we don’t get along… Ahhh, but back in the day, we did have some major beef.”
“Hahaha! Indeed! There was once a great debate between my father Odin and the GOD of the Heavens over who was more widely recognized by humanity—Which, of course, escalated into an all-out war.”
“That’s SO stupid!!!”
Hearing Thor and Koume reminisce about this ridiculous war, Natsuki couldn’t help but yell out.
A literal war between mythologies…
Over who had more name recognition? That was way too dumb to process.
Meanwhile—
Somewhere off to the side, Leviathan muttered quietly—“…Yeah, I actually got my skull cracked open by Thor in that war.”
But no one paid him any attention.
“Anyway, why did the God of Thunder suddenly show up in Japan? Like, Natsuki-kyun and I were just about to spend our first night together, you know?”
“Oh? I see, I’ve rudely interrupted something most sacred. My apologies.”
“NO, DON’T TAKE THAT SERIOUSLY!!!”
“Hahahaha! No need to be embarrassed! A truly strong man transcends the boundaries of gender—he naturally draws people in. You should accept it with a big heart!”
“Ehhhhhh?!”
Yep. That was some Norse mythology logic right there.
“Anyway! Thor, what the hell are you actually here for? I don’t think we ever got a straight answer.”
Hearing Koume’s question—Thor simply gave a broad, manly grin—His teeth literally sparkling.
“Simple. I have come to do battle with Natsuki Yura-dono! He wields lightning of unmatched power! And as the God of Thunder, my very blood boils with excitement!!!”
“…Wait. WHAT?!”
Natsuki’s face fell into complete betrayal.
〜〜Afterword〜〜
Natsuki: “I totally thought he was just here for sightseeing…”
Everyone else: “Yeah, we all saw this coming.”

Whether Norse mythology or Christianity in any shape or form is more recognized is not even a discussion, and I am from Denmark.
Unless, of course, it happened shortly after the conception of Christianity before it had become nearly as wide-spread as it is today, and even replaced the Old Norse religion(s?)
