Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V4 Chapter 47.5
Chapter 47.5: Interlude – “Wouldn’t It Be Better If They Just Exploded?”
Senju Nanamori had once again left Mukaijima City to visit the Kanna household.
The reason? An SOS from Seishiro Kanna.
Seishiro Kanna had gone through a lot.
After Ginko Aoyama stole his family’s treasured spirit sword, he had been disowned, stripped of his position as heir, and had his engagement annulled.
With nothing left, he had become a vengeful rogue—
…Or at least, that was the plan.
Somehow, through various twists and turns, he had ended up becoming friends with them instead.
Now, instead of his lost spirit sword, he wielded Totsuka-no-Tsurugi, gifted by Susanoo-no-Mikoto, and an unnamed divine blade from Tsukuyomi.
This sudden change in fortune had skyrocketed his status among the elite families at the Institute.
Whether he liked it or not, people now saw him as someone backed by not one, but two powerful gods—Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto.
Even though it had only been a few days, he had already become a well-known figure in the supernatural world.
Oh, and as a bonus, he even got the chance to rub his newfound success in the faces of his ex-fiancée and his illegitimate younger brother.
Right now, he was supposed to be spending time with his mother—making up for all the worry he had caused her—before heading back to Mukaijima City.
But then, out of nowhere, he sent an urgent SOS to Senju.
So, without hesitation, Senju jumped onto the next train.
“What the hell…?”
But when he finally arrived at the Kanna household—
“Seishiro-sama, allow me to wash your back! Come, let’s bathe together!”
“Onee-chan, that’s not fair! I wanna wash Seishiro-oniichan’s back too!”
“Uh, no, it’s fine! I’m just rinsing off some sweat, I can do it myself—!”
What awaited Senju was a full-on romcom situation—where Seishiro was completely surrounded by a group of much younger girls.
“—I rushed over in full gear because my friend sent an SOS… and I walk in on a goddamn romcom. You know what? They should just explode.”
Muttering a line straight out of a light novel title, Senju scanned the scene, wondering who the hell was responsible for this nonsense.
And then—
At some point, a bespectacled boy had appeared beside him.
With a small smirk, the boy adjusted his glasses with a practiced glint, radiating an air of calm superiority.
“Uncle Seishiro is currently engaged in a romcom with my mother’s younger sisters. My mother, Akemi Kanna, being the woman who abandoned Uncle and married my father, Reo Kanna.”
After saying this, the boy once again adjusted his glasses—this time with a “yare-yare” kind of shrug.
“Wait a second… Are you—”
“Yes. The child of two foolish parents—Yoshimasa Kanna, five years old.”
“…You’re awfully mature for a five-year-old.”
“I hear that a lot.”
“Wait, seriously? So those girls are… Akemi Kanna’s… uh, from the Kazama family? They seem way younger, though.”
“Matsuri Kazama-san is sixteen. Yuzu Kazama-san is in elementary school.”
“…You’re kidding. So they were sent here by the Kazama family?”
“No, not exactly. Matsuri-san has been a hardcore Uncle Seishiro fan for a long time, but since he was engaged to her older sister, she had no choice but to give up. However, after certain recent events, she saw an opportunity and basically decided to become his live-in wife. As for Yuzu-san—she’s just in full-on ‘big brother is the best’ mode.”
“Are you really five!? You’re not some reincarnated old man or something, right?!”
“…I wouldn’t know anything about that. I’m just a five-year-old.”
“No, no, no—you were just explaining all this complicated family drama like it was nothing! A five-year-old doesn’t talk like that!”
“Hmmm?”
With another smug glint, Yoshimasa adjusted his glasses, playing innocent.
A five-year-old like this shouldn’t exist.
But at the same time, if he had grown up using his own parents as a life lesson in what NOT to do…
Honestly?
That was just kind of sad.
“Ah, Nanamori! You actually came! I’m sorry, but please help me! These girls are way too aggressive—I don’t know what to do!”
“…Oh, screw you, you bastard! You called for an SOS, so I rushed over—only to walk into your harem romcom?! EXPLODE, YOU DAMN HAREM PROTAGONIST!!”
“Nanamooooriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii—!!!”
Senju bolted, his face turned upward in absolute denial.
I’m not jealous. Nope. Not at all.
Tears? What tears?
As he sprinted away, he could still hear Seishiro’s desperate cries for help.
And behind that—Yoshimasa’s calm, almost pitying voice:
“I’m sure good things will happen for you someday.”
But Senju ignored it all—
Jumping onto the next train without looking back.
〜〜Afterword〜〜
[Rushed to save my friend from danger, only to get smacked in the face with his romcom harem situation. Absolutely miserable. Also, there was a weirdly mature five-year-old.]
Next time: Big trouble for GOD!
