Returned from Another World, Earth Turned Out to Be Quite the Fantasy Too. Also, Losing Heroines, Stop Looking This Way. - V4 Chapter 41
Chapter 41: “Finally Heading Home?” ①
“Laa, la-la-la-laa~! La-la-la-laaan~!”
Natsuki skipped down the school hallway with an unmistakable bounce in his step.
“No Mammon-mammon, no Susa-susa, no Nuranura, no trap idol Leviako—It’s finally THOR, the Thunder God! Man, it’s been almost two weeks since I got back from that isekai, but I’m finally gonna meet a proper big name!”
Natsuki’s excitement was through the roof.
“Norse mythology is awesome. I wanna meet Odin and Loki someday, too. Maybe even catch Fenrir and keep him as a pet!”
“—Can you not say such dangerous things so casually?”
The one calling him out was Miyako Minazuki, walking alongside him with her school bag in hand.
“Oh, hey, Miyako-san. Later~! See you tomorrow!”
“Wait. You’re heading straight home?”
“Obviously. The God of Thunder Thor is at my house. I can’t just leave him waiting.”
“…I don’t even want to think about why Thor-sama is in Japan—let alone some random local city. No. I must not think about it… No, actually, this is serious. I need to report this to Amaterasu-sama immediately.”
As the guardian of Mukaijima City, Miyako felt a headache coming on over the way gods just casually visited Japan like tourists.
For Natsuki, though, this was nothing new.
He had already met Amaterasu, Susanoo, and Tsukuyomi, who were literally the Three Noble Gods of Japan.
If that weren’t enough, he had also met Izanagi—
And even had tea with GOD.
It wasn’t like he was about to look down on Thor, but at this point?
He was used to it.
More than anything—going on a grand space adventure with Jack and Nancy, two Grey aliens, felt way crazier than meeting gods.
Not to mention, Natsuki never would have imagined using his hero powers from the other world to slice a spaceship in half one day.
“…By the way, did you hear?”
“Hear what?”
“That student who tried to start something with you this morning.”
“Oh, yeah. That guy.”
“He got suspended.”
“Huh? Why?”
“Apparently, he was part of the whole basketball club scandal, but on the day we reported them, he wasn’t there. However, the teachers were already keeping an eye out for other participants—so when he pulled that obnoxious stunt with you, he got exposed instantly.”
“Serves him right.”
Whether or not some wannabe delinquent middle schooler got suspended didn’t matter to Natsuki.
But still—he deserved it.
That’s what you get for throwing away your precious virginity so easily—life comes back to kick your ass.
“…Also, Natsuki-kun, I need to apologize for something.”
“Huh?”
“Anzu Ayakawa went up to the rooftop, didn’t she?”
“Ah—yeah. She did. Still just as incomprehensible as ever.”
“I meant to warn you, but she moved faster than I expected. I’m sorry.”
“You don’t have to apologize. Tsukuyomi-sensei was there anyway.”
“Even so… I’m sorry.”
Miyako clearly considered it a failure that she had let Anzu reach the rooftop.
She had been the one handling Anzu every time she showed up while Natsuki was away.
If anything, he was grateful, not expecting her to apologize for it.
“Seriously, it’s fine. But man… what’s up with that girl? If even Kazuto’s words didn’t get through to her, then whatever. Just let her do what she wants.”
“But that means you’ll—”
“If all I have to do is find her annoying, I can live with that.”
“…Just so you know, after hearing about Yuto Miyahara’s death, she seems to think everything’s been reset—like none of it ever happened. I overheard her saying things like that.”
“Ahh, I see. Yeah, I couldn’t care less.”
Even if Yuto was gone, that didn’t erase everything Anzu had done.
If she had at least pretended to apologize, maybe there would have been some room for conversation.
But at this point—there was nothing left to say.
“For now, just ignore her. People like that aren’t worth the effort.”
Talking casually, Natsuki switched into his sneakers at the shoe lockers and stepped out through the school gate.
The moment he did—
A small figure came barreling toward him at full speed.
“Guhpff—!”
He barely managed to catch them, but the impact was way stronger than expected, forcing out an undignified sound from his mouth.
“I’ve been waiting for youuu~! Natsuki-kyun’s adorable bride—Leviako-tan is here~!”
“…Wait. Am I seriously about to meet the Thunder God while dragging Leviathan along?”
―Yeah. This was definitely going to be a wild ride.
~~Afterword~~
As Natsuki looked up at the sky, he could almost feel Event-san flashing him a thumbs-up with a grin.
So in the end, this school arc’s main attractions were Leviako and his ex-stepsister!
